I'm not sure if that is because of how we look as we are just wearing shirts, shorts and slippers... I'm not sure. We just ordered two slices of cake, coffee and a lemonade but it took them more than 30 minutes to serve it. They don't even have a/c working. When they finally took our order, one of us ordered coffee and politely asked if they can put ice to make it iced coffee. the waiter immediately said no, we understood that and just asked for a cup of ice instead. We still poured the coffee into the glass of ice. My question is, what's so hard with putting ice in the coffee?? So aside from the very bad service, another thing i'd like to point out is the poor table maintenance. All other tables were cleared, KAMI LANG HINDI. they didn't even bother clearing empty plates until we left. We all had a round of coffee and cakes. After the first round, we got our refills; they didn't even bother to do table maintenance. Our table was filled with empty cups and plates. Do we need to tell the waiters to get the plates? They can obviously see it! i don't think the waiters were busy because they had time to laugh and chitchat with their fellow workers, it was just annoying to see them passing by not even noticing us. One of us even works in the F&B industry and she was really disappointed with how the waiters didn't even accomodate us and how we didn't feel like customers. Had to follow up about 2-3 times for the fries, and only then did they say “it’s almost ready to be served”. I think the server who took our order forgot about us, which is weird because we were sitting out on a table, with no orders on our table, for 30 minutes. Even the katsu meals are served within that time. When we were finally ready to order our katsu meals, those didn’t take long to arrive.I also noticed that unlike before (or at least in this experience), they no longer approach tables asking if people want cabbage or rice refills. We went to Robinsons Magnolia branch for lunch but from the start we were met with unenthusiastic greeting then our server doesnt seem to be interested in serving us and looked like he was preoccupied at the time. After we were seated at our table the server started to arrange it and brought the utensils but to our suprise we were served a cheap wooden chopstick not their standard one. We noticed that among all the guest that was there at the time including the the ones that arrived after us were served properly and was given the usual matching utensil setting. We also noticed that our server is more welcoming and accomodating to the other guests but us. My thought is that they profiled us based on how we looked at the time. We dont wear jewelries and we came there wearing regular clothes compared to most guests that day. We tried to voice our dissatisfaction when the food was served but it was not addressed and they just shruged it off. Needless to say that encounter left a sour taste in our mouths.After we finished our meal they had the gall to have us answer their survey of how our visit went. At the end the only thing the manager did was to apologize.We are very dissappointed and dissatisfied with the service at this Ippudo branch. Ippudo's different ramen flavors are simply variations of their original Tonkotsu ramen, which is one of the best commercialized ramens you can find.The soup is incredibly rich and flavorful that you'll want to savor every last drop, while the noodles are thin, firm, and bursting with flavor. Their charshu is also one of the most delectable I've ever tasted. The only downside is that the egg doesn't quite measure up to the ones I've eaten in Japan.Unfortunately, I must deduct one star due to my recent takeout experiences during the pandemic. mspurple scribbler13:41 04/17/23Food is just your typical Chinese food, just more expensive. Service is the WORST. Hard to call on staff - always takes quite too long to approach customer. And it's not even only us who felt this way because we heard the next table having the same complaint. One staff who moves too rushed even poured water on my pants and didn't even bother to apologize. Just pretended like it never happened. It was even my birthday and it was ruined just because of their mediocre food and very bad customer service. Never going to visit this place again. Their food hasn't really changed much over the past 2 decades, and up to now I still love their simple but flavorful meals.I've always liked their liver pate - whether as a spread, or in the Pate Di Fegatto panini (which for a time was nott on the menu anymore but can still be ordered).
