Every dish we ordered came out delicious.Very good recommendations from the waitress who assisted us. Place had a cozy interior, perfect for intimate occasions.

Best sushi I've had in a while. We took the miso salmon roll, panko (roll), strawberry drink and three berries drink (picture). (We got free water and some sweet potato chips)The miso salmon roll had the biggest piece of salmon in it that I have ever had in a sushi roll. The panko (fried roll) had an amazing extra seaweed dressing with it that made the sushi even more delicious. I highly recommend the panko/panko sauce. The only downside that I found was that the drinks had a lot of ice in them so when I removed those there was about half of the glass left with my drink. I didn't ask without ice so that's also my own fault.Service was great, even though they waited at a very small distance until you made an order. (Very different in Europe)This was the 1st or 2nd time we got asked about our allergies, therefore I would give them even more stars ⭐

Food was great, Ebi Furai was the best. Maam Meanne did a great service, I give her 100 stars, what a great woman that woman was wow!

Nikkei Japanese Restaurant in Manila is simply outstanding! The sashimi melts in your mouth, the steak is perfection, and the seared tuna with sea urchin risotto is a must-try. Don't miss their refreshing drinks like the ruby sake soda and olmeca mojito. And of course, the creamy matcha ice cream is a delightful ending. We'll definitely be back for more!P.S. it is a it priceyyyyy😬

Came here without reservation. We got seated after a few minutes of waiting and was given good seats. The servers Jessa and Ariane were very friendly and very attentive of our needs. The food was great! The fish was fresh and the steak was superb. We had a wonderful time and we'll be coming back for date night again

JANA THERESE VERGEL DE DIOS13:29 03/18/23
Super loved the food and ambience. Servers were very attentive, especially Owen. She was quick to attend to our needs and served our order immediately. Would definitely go back!

The food is good. Location is nice. But its old. Feels old... All needs a face lift... Black COD was excellent... The Salmon Sashimi was great too. Nice Miso... The sake is too expensive... Overall a nice place... But... Requires a desperate re set and re launch...

Vanny04:18 10/07/22
First thing that stood out to me was the ambiance/atmosphere and the design of the place. Basically all candle lit so nice dark lighting (in a good way) and accompanied by the rainstorm outside it was a vibe. There was this cool upstairs bar loft space with a nice bathroom as well. The dessert were probably the highlight with some crazy ice cream flavors and tres leches, but I enjoyed everything else too, the drinks, the sushi, the appetizers. Since it is a upscale Japanese place the portions are pretty small with higher then usual prices but that was as expected. The staff were super attentive (there were like 15 staff members haha) and everything clean.

Woke up late on a rainy Friday night with a craving for sushi but didn’t feel like fighting the traffic with a short amount of time before the restaurant closed.Ordered delivery from Nikkei at PowePlant / Rockwell.Had Ebi and Maguro Nigiri. Spicy Tuna Roll, Salmon Roll and a small fried rice mostly to try something non-sushi.Food arrived fast and everything was packaged very well. All of the fish tasted fresh and the rolls were better than I expected! The fried rice was good but I suspect that it would even better in the restaurant when it was hot rather than warm. I can’t complain though since I chose delivery. My favorite was the Spicy Tuna Roll!I would definitely say that I was pleasantly surprised at how well everything traveled and at the freshness of all the ingredients.8/10 and would definitely recommend especially for in restaurant dining!

Chobitss Chan04:01 08/18/22
Was invited by friends for a gathering and Nikkei did not disappoint! Was my first time in any Nikkei but heard that their menu differs between various outlets.Atmosphere was chill and lighting was just bright enough to each your food, allowing you to have conversations without worrying about making ugly faces.Selection of food was quite wide, Japanese Peruvian fusion is a first for me so I was quite pleasantly surprised at how easy it was to accept a combination like this.My favourite was the Wasabi Ice Cream, which everyone gladly gave up to me.Drinks were good, staff did their best to accomodate despite being full-house that evening. Thank you Nikkei Rockwell!

Kim Lawrence Espiritu12:26 12/25/21
The food was great, sushi was fresh and so was the wasabi. Quality of the seafood was top notch and the food wasn't overpriced. Venus was our server for the evening, she treated us very well and I liked the small talk. There's actually parking in front of the restaurant. Security guards are friendly, and there's a nearby ucc and wildflour for dessert or a late night coffee trip.

Visiting with my wife always when I visit Manila.Bit expensive but taste good.Last time when we visited, I felt they lost freshness.Still ok but better used be.

Paule Santos17:34 01/28/23
My husband really felt the need to eat a crazy amount of meat so we went for the lunch special where you can get unlimited meat and seafood to grill for 799. You can skip the salmon bec they give you the “throwaway parts”, the scallops were just ok but the chicken was good. My husband really enjoyed the pork and beef cuts he was served though, they were tender and juicy. Service was good but the place needs a bit of sprucing up - you can see all the signs of wear and tear already but at least the food was still good!

Justin Liu07:00 04/05/22
Good food. The beef is good and the chicken. Price is quite affordable for all u can eat. Ambiance so-so. Service needs improvement, but for the price, its worth it.

Pa paddy02:53 01/02/22
The price is a bit expensive, and there is not even enough stock of vegetables for barbecue, such as lettuce, the atmosphere is not good, and even basic dishes need to be purchased. There won’t be any dishes to give away ,Won't try again

Rajesh Somasekharan13:56 11/23/19
Tajimaya Rockwell is another favorite spot of mine. I frequent this place whenever possible. Today was a dinner after shopping for us. Place is very easy to find using either waze or google maps. Ample car park and with valet if required. Flat 50 peso parking rate. We were seated immediately but reservation is recommended if it's a bigger than 5 group. We ordered the karibu boneless short ribs, harami skirt, and jou karubi for our grill. We then ordered both the kimuchi moriawase and the namuru moriawase along with Tajimaya tamogoyaki, chajan fried rice and a chijimi along with a potato wedge for our little one. The charcoal grilled meat is one of the best in town. And my favorite is the tajimaya tamogoyaki. All other items were great as well. Perfectly seasoned and mouthwatering. They have an amazing whiskey and liquor collection worth looking into. Staff are friendly and very accommodating. Bill out was fast and they dont charge service charge. I'll be back soon.

Arneil Leonin02:04 12/17/18
The wagyu beef was amazing as well as the other food. Just have problems with the overall service1) Reserved on a given time but when we arrived, the personnel looked unready to cater us. Food and charcoal took too long to arrive2) charcoal burned out too fast. Either it was too hot or not capable of cooking at all. Waiters hesitate on replacing charcoal and thus slow cooking.3) ambiance is fine. Noise is controlled from different tables so this is definitely a place to talk and mingle without disturbing other customers4) it was too dark. Honestly cant see if my food has already been cooked or not.Overall, my experience with my last visit was unorganized and slow service from the crew

Aireen04:42 10/16/18
Cravings for Yakiniku was satisfied 👍Went here to try their Eat-all-you-can which cost 685php and it was worth it. It includes marinated beef, chicken, pork, shrimp, squid, sausage, rice, kimchi, beans, salad and bottomless iced teaGood quality meat.Their staffs are accommodating, we went here pass 5pm to ask for their unlimited deal, they said it was only served during lunch, but they allowed us to have it.Best bday gift ❤️The place is quite big and i like the ambiance.its also clean. They have comfort room inside.✔️Will definitely recommend.

Christine Sy12:58 08/06/23
This branch is tucked away in a corner, hard to find unless you're from the area..Loved their gyoza, tsukune & grilled chicken.. not a fan of the yuzu tsukemen. Though the chicken is very moist & juicy, the broth was too heavy, even for a tsukemen.. will stick to the karai miso tsukemen

Janelle Corpus14:16 07/08/23
Loved the chicken gyoza. Was a bit surprised there was a bit of soup inside it and it was so good. The chicken paitan I guess isn't really my thing. But it was good regardless. The karaage tasted normal. Overall still great! If you want a healthier option for ramen this would be good.

Ana Clariza22:48 06/25/23
Absolutely loved my Php 1850 Truffle Ramen, although it is a bit on the overpriced side. But it was just so flavorful, every bite was a symphony of flavors. The noodle was cooked perfectly and had the perfect firmness that freshly made noodles have. The broth was so rich. I've had a Michelin starred Paitan in Seoul before but I find this Paitan to be better overall. The gyoza was also very delicious. Can't wait to go back and try the other Ramen options.

Rad Rigor13:53 06/05/23
Paitan ramen here is always a treat.Side dishes are fresh and tasty.Only, friends find their vegan ramen on the salty side.Pets okay alfresco.

Salahodin Dimaporo22:37 04/22/23
We arrived during a less congested period and found the staff to be amiable. Although the service was slightly sluggish, we were pre-informed about the expected pace given the nature of fine dining establishments. The cuisine was delectable, with the gyoza in particular being indescribable in its excellence, warranting it the title of 'Gyoza Supremacy'. However, I was disappointed to learn that takeaways for the gyoza and ramen dishes were not allowed, which detracted from an otherwise exceptional dining experience.Additionally, the restaurant's focus on cultural immersion was evident in their approach to dining, as they did not offer spoons or forks. Instead, diners were encouraged to use chopsticks to fully experience and appreciate the cultural tradition of the cuisine. I would like to note that the restaurant does not serve pork, and has no pork-related ingredients in their menu as claimed. However, I should mention that they are not halal-certified, and as Muslim, we ate at our own discretion. Nonetheless, I found our overall experience at the fine dining restaurant to be highly satisfying and enjoyable.

Nina Arquiza06:59 04/16/23
Every time I've been here I've made an effort to try different things and I've liked them all. So far though my favorite still has to be the karai tokusei tsukemen. Service has also been nice and consistent, and the restaurant itself, while it can get full pretty quickly, is quite bright and airy.

Carlo Go00:09 03/06/23
I had one if not the best tantanmen with tamago in manila here. It was well balanced and i love the firm noodles. Broth was such a delight. I also tried the gyoza and its also one of the best here. Service was almost perfect. They forgot to give us our drinks but no big deal. The place is clean and secluded. Definitely coming back here to try other offers.

Aldous Talavero13:53 12/20/22
Initially have low expectations because it's all chicken which in other ramen places, not that good. But they somehow made it work. The broth is thick and rich - which I prefer but this is not to everyone's liking. This makes sense since chicken does not really taste that well in soups. Gyoza is great despite being made of chicken though it is not as good as their sister resto's, again, defying low expectations. We were there at not so busy time. It's a good try for an experience but I'll stick with pork and beef when it comes to ramen.Food: 4/5Serving: 5/5Service: 4/5Serving time: 30 minutesAmbience: 4/5Cleanliness: 5/5Price: 650+/head

Anne Fernando13:27 07/21/22
Dined here a few times already and main reason why I keep on coming back is because of their chicken-based broth. Not as cloying as tonkotsu so that's a plus point. My go-to dishes are:✅️ Yuzu tsukemen: the best dish for me and what I keep on recommending to fam and friends who want to try Marudori✅️ Chicken gyoza: more like a cross between gyoza and xiao long bao; heaven in a bite and always pair this with your ramen or tsukemen!✅️ Tsukune: minced chicken grilled over binchotan; amazing smoky flavor and yummier when you dip in the teriyaki sauce with raw eggIf you're in the mood for ramen, you can get their bestselling shoyu paitan but if you prefer lighter flavor, then shio paitan will be a better choice. We tried their off-menu lobster ramen once -- somewhat similar to lobster bisque with that lobster kakiage taking the crown. Not something I would repeatedly order though. Didn't like the grilled shrimp appetizer and I'll skip that next time.

Edel San06:31 06/04/22
This ramen-place only serves chicken meat such as diff kinds of ramen with chicken meat, karaage, chicken gyoza (must-try!), etc. Also, avoid visiting during lunch or dinner because you'll just have a hard time getting a table. When we dine here, it's always between 2-3pm to avoid the crowd. As for the food, every item on the menu is simply delish. No kidding. I am partial to their tantanmen though. Not that spicy but definitely has that yummy 'kick.' The gyoza is also amazing. Think gyoza and xiao long bao. The staff are also helpful if you're not sure what to order. Also, this resto is part of Mendokoro and Yushoken group.

Carlo Buan04:45 05/26/22
Absolutely must visit if you are a ramen lover! Must order: The Gyokai! Ramen noodles freshly made, the broth so rich and flavorful. Best tsukemen! Also order their Gyoza as appetizer... the best gyoza that I have tasted in long while too. Practice your chopstick eating skills as this resto does not have the regular spoons and forks 😊 authentic Japanese experience, as authentic as the dishes that they serve. Yum!The place opens at 11am.

Gaile Ocampo19:45 05/05/22
Great place for ramen with chicken broth base. Everything we ordered was delicious. The Shio Tori Paitan was my personal favorite. Its broth tasted light but flavorful. Too bad we missed out on their gyoza. Will definitely come back to try that and their other dishes.

Our favorite places to eat in Manila and the only place we find Navajas (razor clams), which we normally only enjoy in Spain. It's off-menu so just ask the staff if it's availableWe also enjoyed:- Chicharon Curls 2-ways- baked scallops- River Prawn-Scallop Roll in Squid Ink Bun- Eaton Mess- Pastillas & Chocolate LavaGrace park is not cheap not just because of its prime location in the luxurious Rockwell Center, but because she supports local farmers & only used high-quality ingredients. Would I recommend it?For a nice treat or occasion, ABSOLUTELY! It will make for an unforgettable meal and you'll be leaving full & happy.

Favorite restaurant in Powerplant Mall/Rockwell Makati area. The several times my family and I dined here with the various dishes we've tried, not one we didnt like.Must order (among others) are their pastas (they have fresh and dry pastas), beef muscovado belly, negros lechon, and even their house iced tea. You must also try their desserts.Staff are attentive and friendly.Love how homey the ambiance of the restaurant also is.

Passport Tribe08:56 04/13/23
Had a great dinner here for my birthday. A bit pricey but hey, it's my birthday. Great menu choices. It's not exclusively Pinoy, or Italian menu. I like the dessert menu especially the salted egg braso de mercedes with candied pepper(my new favorite!)

Stacy Danika Alcantara16:47 03/06/23
Great dining experience although the food was a bit too pricey. I just really had to turn a blind eye on the price tag thanks to the gorgeous rustic ambience and the scrumptious food. It was so good, I recommended it immediately to my officemates. Lechon was great and what made me happy was that they didn't make the awful mistake of making it too salty. I'm not a sauce person when it comes to lechon but I have to say their sauce and salad sides were great. The iced tea was also quite good with just the right amount of sweetness. I'd go back but it would have to be on my brother's tab! 😂

H K07:30 03/06/23
Made a reservation over their IG page. They r v prompt in responding. The waiter was v confident in his recommendations which made ordering swift and simple.our most expensive dish was a starter - Burrata w fresh figs n minced veal. PH1,700 but it was my fave. The chicken on the hotpan was full flavored wonderful. The lamb adobo and lechon were a let down but the accompanying brown rice turned out to be a delight. the squash flowers were a pleasant surprise and i would insist u order this too if u have never tried. I would have enjoyed the meatballs more had they been meatier, firmer and the mash was potato instead of the given polenta. The locally sourced umi with pasta was nothing to look at and everything on the tongue. yum! We over ate, as usual and could only stomach 1 dessert. the waiter chose the brazo over sponge cake for us. good choice! I wasn't a fan from the first bite but we were all glad we gotten to try this v interesting pastry. Their farm to table promise is very transparent, so much so that they list out their partners on the menu.Overall the experience was memorable and to friends heading over manila for 1 weekend, we would definitely recommend this place for brunch or lunch. Good vibes from plate to people!

Anna Ong14:32 02/03/23
The name kinda throws you off but believe me Grace Park is not to be taken for granted. Everything was good even the Gin Tonic!

Patricia O02:56 11/16/22
Enjoyed the food but a little pricey for what it is. Expect to pay around 1,200-1,500 per person. However, I liked how the menu had a variety of dishes to choose from. Got the Muscovado Beef Belly- this i really liked and was value for money. Enjoyed also the bone marrow as well as the Uni Linguine. The pasta had a very rich umami flavor, and yet it remained light and easy to eat. The burrata was good, but it was way too expensive. Other people on our table got the Lamchops- which i felt were too small for the price. Overall an enjoyable meal and still curious to try the other dishes. Will come back.

Jaime de Guzman11:41 10/31/22
Pretty good food, but I’m not sure it’s completely worth the price. For example, although the telefono burrata pasta comfortably fed 4 and was decent, it cost Php1,600. My main, the grilled lamb riblets, cost Php890, and was a bit tough (although the salsa verde and mint jelly sauce was fantastic). The fried squash flowers with cheese and Parma ham appetizer was easily the best of the lot, and an auto-order. The rest was good, but I’m not really sure it meets the price-value proposition. It is in a prime location and expects that you are able to pay the price though, so it is what it is! Still a great place to celebrate with a special meal. Just be ready to spend at least Php1,500 per head.

Adrian S16:38 07/31/22
Very nice quality good; very good service. A nice contemporary blend of Italian food with Filipino flavors. The pastas were divine - I simply liked the seasonal blue crab pasta; generous portion of crab meat. The anchovy pasta was delicious - thou salty - but preserved the anchovy taste. The penne was great and cooked al dente. The bone marrow dish was generously served with bread and the truffle sauce - matched very well. One of the best Negronis I had here! The only downside which brought the stars down a bit was the beef belly - it was tough and it didn’t seem it was well marinated. My friend was not happy and gave feedback to the kitchen.Everything we ordered was good - just don’t order the beef belly.Interior and exterior was beautifully decorated and the service from the staff were excellent. Recommended.

Mars Hidalgo08:19 06/21/22
I absolutely love eating here. It's nicely tucked away, but worth the walk since you'll be eating quite a bit. It's a bit pricey but it is definitely worth it. Each dish is mouthwatering and is made from locally sourced ingredients (which is great for our local farmers). The staff are so attentive to your needs and you feel like they're happy to serve you. The place itself has such good energy and (for the cat lovers out there) it has all sorts of cat decor strewn all over the place. I will definitely keep supporting businesses like this.Food Recommendations:- Artichoke-Sundried Tomato Dip- Triple Grilled Cheese & Sourdough- Spaghettini Carbonara Deconstruct & 2 Organic Yolks- Muscovado Beef Belly

Real Customer Reviews at The Test Kitchen by Josh Boutwood:

Steph Rafael23:01 05/24/23
First off we contacted the restaurant by e-mail asking to place a reservation and if it’s possible to have a look in the menu, since you can‘t find any online. They just informed us that the reservation for two persons was placed but didn‘t confirm an exact time. So we replied and asked for the time of the reservation and for the !third time! for the menu, but we didn‘t receive a response. So we passed by the restaurant, neither knowing exactly what time our reservation was made nor knowing what the menu and prices were. Luckily our table was booked. To be honest, our expectations were a bit high, since the owner of the restaurant, chef josh boutwood, did work at noma. Well, we were mostly disappointed. I only remember the sour dough which was great and the meat to be overcooked. There were only a few guest, so you could notice that the staff (service, chef, everyone included) had nothing to do, so there was no working spirit to be felt at all, which made the ambience unpleasant. All in all the price-performance ratio was unfortunately bad.

Jon Hsieh11:58 05/15/23
4.5Awesome food. Cooked perfectly. Think the ambience/setting could be upgraded. Would definitely recommend any day of the week to visit.

Benjamin Shaw12:52 04/11/23
Perfect for our 1 year anniversary. We never told them that it was but it was wonderful! You’d think we had the place to ourselves with the service provided. Thank you!

Hugo Adenot22:16 02/12/23
Great place to eat in Manilla.Cured meats were a disappointment. However the duck toast and the dessert were great. The ricotta and procciutto tortellini are the best pasta I had in ages.Polite and welcoming staff, but my glass of red wine have been served cold…

Christopher Calara14:30 02/03/23
The Test Kitchen is a new favorite. The restaurant is pleasant and modern, with conducive lighting for dining. The food is presented well; the quality and taste is excellent. Their service is commendable. Our server, Danica, is very knowledgeable, attentive and helped guide us through our dining experience.

Patricia O06:47 10/25/22
Ambience and location is really great. Food is generally tasty, Duck prosciutto toast stood out. I really also liked the Charcoal and Roe Calamarata- it was really unique and different (also cooked perfectly). Also stood out were the Truffle Chicken and the 72 Hour Short Rib. Generally a good place to have a special dinner or celebrate if you'd want something more affordable than the usual tasting menu.

Jeremy Sulit06:18 08/16/22
Overall it was meh. The duck prosciutto was super tasty and nicely balanced. The fried rice balls was hard to eat, chewy and lacked contrast. They were super savoury and the shredded parmesan served little purpose. The pasta was delicious but lacked proper plating as the al dente noodles became cold and chewy when only half of it was eaten. The creamy spinach was good, tasty by itself and not too salty. And lastly, their cabbage. The sauce does not come off easily and you can not even dip the cabbage into it. The cabbage is almost 4 inches tall and you are expected to cut this behemoth down and dip it into a sauce that has already hardened on to your plate. There was literally just a burnt cabbage, shredded cheese and some reduced soy sauce for that dish. Totally unbalanced and unacceptable. 650 pesos for this lazily plated and executed dish. Ridiculous. Wanted to just try how good this place is before coming back for the prix fixe, guess not.

Went on a quiet afternoon with few customers. The ambiance and the interior was really pleasant.Ordered their tuna tartare, dry age striploin, and honey cream for dessert. Each dish was exceptionally complex. They also took us on a tour of their curing room and preserved herbs and spices. Everyone was really nice and checked up on us a lot.Would recommend 10/10

Loved the food, ambiance, and service!I enjoyed most dishes. 3 of us ordered several a la carte plates, around 4 per person. Faves were the spicy tuna bowl thingy and the twix dessert. Drinks were yummy too.The place is really small so getting seats is usually tricky, but we were lucky to get bar seats walking in at 8:30pm. Classy interiors, clean, and not loud.

Staff here are really wonderful, shout out to Remy who looked after us. The kitchen were really accomodating making us some epic vegan bar snacks. Delicious cocktails 👌

12/10 is an excellent and creative experience that will leave you wanting for another piece. They are an expert at their craft and takes every detail into account when making the meal in front of me, leaving me with a great appreciation of the experience they have put together. The basics are amazing, and the other courses are very creative and delicious. Every piece of the omakase is so deep with flavor and a must try for everyone!A great experience for a special occasion.

What an amazing experience! From the moment you step into the door all the way to when you walk out full happy and satisfied! The menu is fantastic - we had the ala carte izakaya option. Ordered all the food and a couple of cocktails. The food was epic! Great play on classic flavours with a modern twist! Loved the textures and balance.Cocktails were tasty light and freshService 12 out of 10!Will defs go back again!

12/10 never disappoints! It’s our first time to be back post pandemic and at their new location too. Honestly we’re sooo happy they’re back. We tried everything on the menu and the oldies are still goodies (salmon kushiyaki, hand roll, faux twix) but the new additions are stellar as well - I particularly enjoyed the salmon with egg yolk and my husband really liked the wagyu! The service was excellent as usual, shout out to Eman and Rémy. We also really enjoyed the cocktails and how they weren’t stingy with the alcohol. Overall a great experience!!

One of the best tasting menus I’ve tried. A touch of delicacy in every dish with layers of build up of subtle flavors. The area itself is also on point with mood lighting and great drinks to pair with their menu options. My favorite was the uni toast and the salmon.

12/10's latest incarnation in 8 Rockwell is the grown up, polished version of the brash, creative izakaya that revolutionized Manila's dining scene in the mid-2010s. Helmed by the couple Gab and Thea, the original 12/10 was located in Guijo Street, an off-the-beaten path location that cemented it as the hipster, in-the-know choice for a stylish dinner for Manila's upscale Millennial set. With that core demographic aging out of hassle hipster locations and the COVID pandemic's impact on dining in, 12/10 was forced to close in 2010. The new 12/10 features a more sophisticated and mature ambiance, located in the sleek 8 Rockwell building (home of the only Off White retail store in Manila), giving its core clientele a more convenient and central location.Having just opened in November, the menu features a more limited set of items as the team ramps up again post-pandemic. Old favorites like the salmon truffle kushiyaki, pinipig eggplant, wagyu with leek and uni, and tuna foie gras hand roll are available, retaining the same inventive combinations of flavors that mix Japanese cuisine with non-traditional ingredients. The bartending and craft cocktails continue to be high quality, and the service standards remain excellent. In short, the new 12/10 is a triumphant return of an old favorite to Manila's dining scene, with more to come from the team as they find their footing in their new footing.

Place can be quite tight at times. Bathroom is very very small. Upstairs is great seating and spacious!

Coco Ichibanya is our go-to for authentic Japanese curry. Among the branches in the Philippines, the Rockwell branch for me is the best in food and service. You can never go wrong with the pork cutlet with omelette rice or the curry udon. Service here is quick and efficient, they are also attentive to refill your water as they know you are eating spicy food. They will quickly give seconds of fukujinzuke when you request for it.

Food Reviewer18:47 07/23/22
Taste was all on-point, and the staff were accommodating! The only thing that’s holding it back from a 5 is that the katsu was mostly batter/breading, with an extremely thin slice of meat in between. Also, I kept having to dig around since about half of my meat was just fat. Still, the curry and egg were a great pair! Curry udon wasn’t as good as the pork cutlet omlette curry, so I suggest skipping the experimentation and sticking with the latter.

Jaime de Guzman06:01 01/07/22
I’m a curry guy. I grew up loving and eating a lot of curry. I can safely say that I am a curry enthusiast. The night prior to eating at CoCo, I actually had a really quality curry rice at Japanese restaurant named Tomo, so I was ready for more.Unfortunately, I was disappointed when I tried the curry at a store which prides themselves in curry. I ordered a level 3 spice Chicken Katsu Curry with egg and an add-on of cheese. The curry sauce not only was watered down to the point where it had the liquidity of water, but it was cold. The taste itself was uninspiring and didn’t have that much flavor. The chicken’s batter was coming off just by moving it around. The chicken itself was a very thin slice. The cheese was alright, but not worth an additional (!!) 100 pesos. The redeeming factor for this meal was the ice cream I had after in the store. Needless to say, I won’t be coming back here. 2/5 stars, one for each ice cream scoop.

Michaella Talento15:47 12/26/19
Not too busy during holiday season (post-Christmas).Their curry is good. I personally just opted for a non-spicy curry due to medical reasons. Level 1 spice might be too spicy for others so choose wisely.

Suckafree MissP12:02 08/02/19
I didn't realize Japanese curry existed! It was very good but a little bit heavy. The portion sizes are big! I was able to request mild (no spicy heat) but also was able to get a small dish of standard spicy so that I could have just a little kick because a whole plate of standard spicy would have been too much for me. Overall, good food and reasonable price! Milk tea was also fresh, i mixed it myself!

Παραγγείλαμε το Caffe Latte (P190), το Vanilla Latte (P225), το Himalayan White (P160) και το Refinery Bread Pudding (P225).

Bao Mic (Bao)22:54 01/01/22

Food is good but I've had better chinese food in banawe qc. Their truffle dumpling is something we keep coming back to. My partner likes it so much. The service was a bit slow. A bowl of plain rice took 5 minutes to be served. I had to call the attention of the servers 3 times before I got a bowl of soup. It wasn't peak hours. The atmosphere is good. It was clean but the table setting could be better.

ken lee08:55 07/30/23
As a Chinese restaurant their food tastes bland. Lack of flavor for me. Feels like eating Chinese food when you're sick u can't seem to taste the savory of the dishes. Xiao long BAO and noodles were basic the only thing going for me is their shrimp fried rice.

With my kids in tow, for sure we have to have Asian food. Tried Shi Lin this time because we always go to DTF for XLB (IYKYK).Their XLB is soupy, the meat was tender and it was filling. Overall satisfied with their version.Staff were alao attentive and they were quick to attend to our needs. In itself, the items are all good. Value for money.

did not have a pleasant experience.waiter came to take our orders initially, then asked us to do it our own instead?!the food, we requested to remove certain ingredients, the kitchen neglected the request. they removed the ingredients by picking it off instead of make a new one for us.charging us service charge but didn't have good service, except when we are asking for the bill.

5 stars for excellent Chinese cuisine and value for money 🤗🤗 Personal recommendations are:Pork Xiao Long BaoBraised Beef Noodle SoupFried MantouBeef was definitely fork tender with so much flavour in the broth 😋 while the Xiao Long Bao is as good as it can be especially coupled with Black Vinegar and Ginger 👍🏻Mantou was fried to perfection with the perfect crunch on the inside and softness on the inside 😋😋Topping it all off is the overall service with the staff being very attentive to their guests - kudos to the Management on this.Shi Lin is a must try when you are in Powerplant Mall, Rockwell CBD. I personally will be dropping by here for good Chinese food 😋😋😋

Gems Gonzalez10:55 06/30/19
Shi Lin is underrated. Many of its menu items are similar to one famous Michelin star restaurant and so the quality and taste of food. It’s our go-to place when we want something light and healthy or the reverse, something really filling. We order dimsum, wonton soup and steamed vegetable or fried rice, sweet and sour pork, spare ribs and it’s fried squid.

Renz L12:20 04/28/19
Shi Lin is very famous for their xiao long bao.(Tip: always add more ginger and vinegar on your xiaolongbao.)We got two sets of Hakaw also because it is so good. Probably 2-3 shrimps in one hakaw! The prawn cake tastes like squidball and may be a little expensive for its size. The pork chop with rice is always the best.... great to add a little vinegar and ginger on your rice for that extra kick.Lastly we got the deep fried mantou. Can be a great dessert with that condensed milk dip.

theo11:45 02/17/19
Our ordered:Noodle shrimp & pork wonton (4/5)Bokcoy (5/5)Fried rice shrimp and egg (4/5)Got the free xiao long bao (chinese new year event)The ambiance is super comfy, and the service is good. The taste of the water is quite strange. The price is so affordable than other Chinese restaurant in powerplant mall.

Harold Lubo08:30 06/11/23
Service was overall speedy and commendable, despite the lunch rush they were able to quickly serve our food, while occasionally asking how guests are doing. The food is magnificent, truly one I’d love to go back to.My fave is the Spinach Ravioli I ordered, as it was my first time to eat ravioli yet it exceeded my expectations.Truly a gem in Makati. Would go back again for more.

Nina Arquiza09:02 06/04/23
Pastas are good to share, especially if you're a large group! Service is always good and consistent. We asked for a substitution of the pasta for their garganelli and they obliged. We got lucky that they had a table available the night we were there but definitely reserve a table in advance if you want sure seats or a table inside the restaurant.

Rey Trillana06:16 05/22/23
Went here Sunday afternoon and it was packed. This is a very popular restaurant. The food was very good and on the expensive side.We ordered the Garganelli Bianco pasta which had Truffle Butter, Cream, Peas, Prosciutto di Parma. The garganelli was fresh and delicious. They’re a bit restrained on the truffle but the prosciutto was very good.I really enjoyed the Trippa Fritta which is deep fried tripe. Think of it as crispy calamares with tripe. Crunchy breading and tender tripe. Wish I ordered beer. The Bistecca a mano was okay. It was tender but I thought it was a bit underseasoned. For dessert we have the tiramisu which was very tasty but on the watery side.About the vibe—its a bit noisy inside so if you go there expecting a nice quiet dinner you probably will be disappointed. I didn’t mind. I thought it added to the vibe of the place. The music was loud, not blaring, but loud. The chattering of the guests seemed amplified especially the shrieking of the teens behind us. And then there’s the expediter who shouts out the orders to the kitchen in order to keep the orders moving efficiently. There were a lot of comments about slow service but in our case, the food was served about 15mins after we ordered. The staff were polite and attentive.

Nick Swenson03:22 03/26/23
This was our first time trying a mano, and it was delicious! The name stands for "handmade" and this truly shines. Everything from the doughs, pastas, sauces, and sides are all made in house on premise, and they've nailed it. Luxury, Italian comfort food, at its finest. 👌 The restaurant was recently featured as a top restaurant in Manila, and is subsequently very busy. It can be challenging to do a walk in, and they restaurant itself recommends 5 days ahead reservations. It was quite crowded when we went.Onto the food: The pizza was great: thin but not soggy center with several cheese, fluffy outer crust, charred but not burnt, and nice honey drizzle for contrast, this is some of the best pizza in the Philippines! The Occo Busso was excellent. Rich creamy polenta overlain with a savory meat sauce and succulent falling apart veal, topped with bike marrow. I kind of ordered on a whim not expected much: it surprised me.Of course we loved our ravioli. We got both the egg ravioli and spinach/cheese blend. This is my first time trying handmade pasta, and you can really taste the difference. It's far more delicate and fresh tasting. Dry pasta tastes almost stale by comparison. While both were excellent, they were similar enough we didn't need both. Definitely just get the egg ravioli and treat yourself to something special very few places can pull off.We did enjoy the bacon caesar salad and puffed gnocchi, but both were a bit overkill for our dinner. It was just our first time and we over ordered. 😅Lastly, we were blown away by the desserts. Both the Panna Cotta and Burrata Gelato were world class settings for a unique set of well themed toppings available. I fell in love with the Honeycomb Panna Cotta combo and my fiance thoroughly enjoyed the Balsamic Strawberry Burrata Gelato. These were both very well thought finishes to the meal.

Brent Go16:05 03/23/23
The food is amazing. Everything is made by hand, just as the brand suggests. You can see your meals being cooked right in front of you. Despite it being enclosed, the smell does not get to you. You will be surprised how amazing the presentation is, and how the flavor is a big wow. One key note is how loud the music can be and it was slightly difficult to communicate inside

Jj Sison02:28 07/26/22
Good food and great service! Recommend to reserve here since the place seems always full. They have have two time slots for lunch which is 11 am and 1pm. You can see them making their fresh pasta inside the restaurant. Their pasta and gelato were amazing!

The ambiance is nice and the food is good. They have al fresco area too. Ordered lamb, black ink pasta, risotto and pizza. The staff are accommodating and friendly. They were able to assist us well despite the being busy. The place gets jam packed especially during dinner time.

Been here multiple times! True to its promise, a mano serves you fresh and faithful Italian cuisine. You can tell they use only the freshest ingredients with their clean and delicious dishes. Straightforward good food! Their service, likewise, is superb. The staff were very accommodating and attentive to our needs 🙂

Drinks, atmosphere, and service were great. But sorry to say but their salad was lackluster. Too much dressing, it's clear the chef got the memo wrong ... greens are not to marinated in oil. Even the chiros had a lot to be desired. Super dry and crunchy.

H Merc15:20 02/09/23
had a laid back week night (outdoor) dining experience here. the place was not too crowded but i think they have a few servers coz the service is kinda slow. we even asked to take our pic, the crew said will get back at us, but i guess she forgot.loved the tapas/dishes we tried —— croquetas de quezo asul (nice crunch in the outside, smooth soft & cheesy inside), almejas a la bilbaina (clams w chili garlic oil sauce), paella del mar (seafood paella), & gulas con gambas al ajillo (shrimps w tiny eels in garlic chili oil). had all of these with paradise sangria (red, we had 2 pitchers for the 3 of us 😝🍹)we also had churros con chocolat & tartita de queso manchego (cheesecake) for dessert. i think we chose the right dishes this time and enjoyed all of it (we recently tried barcino in sm aura and we only had salad and paella and we didn’t enjoy the food much— the paella was burnt but undercooked (yeah i know, i don’t know how that’s possible too, haha!). good value for money, the only thing i think was overpriced was the gambas w tiny eels. overall experience was good. ☺️😋👣💕 #restlessfeet #eatlivewander #eatlivewanderreviews

Jose Ernesto “Joey” Indolos06:18 10/02/22
The Rockwell branch of the Spanish themed restaurant chain. I like the ambiance and, most importantly, the food. I was meeting up with friends, so I wasn't able to take any pictures of the food, aside from the appetizers and drinks that I had while waiting for them. I'll just add more pictures when I go back (and it's good enough that I most probably will).Service is cordial, but the staff get rather hassled as peak hours approach, such is the popularity of the place. I arrived late afternoon, so I had no problem calling attention and getting service. But my friends arrived early evening, and we stayed a few hours, and as the place filled up, it was harder to get service. Then when we got our bill, it was confused with someone else's. But everything was eventually sorted out, and all through it all, the staff maintained a pleasant demeanor. For the record, it wasn't an attempt to charge us for extra, because once we had sorted things out, we actually ended up paying slightly more than their first charge. It was just a bit of a hassle that could have been avoided with better procedures. Still, just a minor glitch, and not something that will keep me away.

Ken Aranas04:00 09/26/22
Went for after-dinner drinks and it was great! Their selection of wines and cocktails doesn't disappoint and for the price, it's worth the quality they offer! We had sparkling and a few beers and a selection of cold cut chorizo and Ibirico ham. Definitely a must-try for anyone in the Rockwell area looking for a Spanish-inspired restaurant!
