was actually eyeing this place for my vigan vacation since this spot comes up on blog suggestions and facebook as well.went there around 8pm. i thought it was gonna be busy but i was a bit of a slow night. the service was good and the food serving was also fast. loved their beef and its sauce. not a beer connoisseur but it was good. only unfortunate thing was they only had 2 available beer variety for that night.the place is also huge and the AC temperature was perfectly set. not too warm and not too cold.the only thing i was wondering was the additional charge on our bill. the receipt shows only around 600+ but the waiter wrote 800 on the bottom side of the paper and told me to pay that amount. unsure if it was for service charge or he just wanted a tip? didnt bother asking but i hope they made it clear as to what was it for.

Srini04:25 07/03/23
It was a disappointment that they had only 2 beers available: The pale ale and the sweet stout. Then they only had the pulled pork, chicken, and smoked pork belly. No speciality meats were available. The sandwich was not available, nor French fries. Also two of the four desserts were not available. The ambiance is pleasant for a beer brewery but the severely reduced choices on the menu was a downer. The Ceylon lemon ice tea was refreshing. It would have been better to know up front what was and what was not available on the menu.

Miggz Santiago08:10 05/04/23
Ambiance seems really nice. They kept the old world charm but added in modern conveniences such as air-conditioning and nice bathrooms. The food was ok at best. Smoked meats were pretty average tasting. Portion is decent. The sides were pretty good though. Dessert was not bad.As for the beers, I was expecting a whole lot more. 2/6 variaties were sadly not available. Did a beer flight of the 4 available ones. I only liked the wheat ale. The rest were forgettable. Not bad if you pair it with the meal. But I think craft beer should stand out on its own.

Rohan Muralee08:41 04/07/23
Cool place in the centre of Vigan serving craft beer and food! There were six different beers on the menu of which four were available - all were decent and there was plenty of food on offer too.The sampler was a good and cost effective way of trying all of the beers that were available. Lots of seats available too.

Marc Jimenez06:57 03/04/23
Went here around lunch time and saw that they are smoking their meat out front. Food is amazing, their smoked meats are INCREDIBLY tender. It's also relatively cheap for the serving size. Sides are also good, especially the coleslaw. I also enjoyed their craft beer tasters! Street parking is available. I saw some mice and lizards crawling around.

Tuuli Lind04:39 02/23/23
This was just amazing. Service and the vibe in the restaurant were both great. Food was so tasty - good quality meat and excellent side dishes. They also have good beers. It was so good that the next day we ended up ordering take away from here.I'd go back any time.

Jomil Delos Reyes11:51 02/11/23
5/5! That's still underrated. Wanna know why? Then try it for yourself!Their pork belly is awesome, the white chocolate blond is superb! The beer? Great! A perfect place to fill your tummy and chill out. Bring your dates here, they will love it for sure.

Amihan Antipolo04:37 08/28/22
I enjoyed dining in this restaurant, one of the best when in Vigan. Their meat dishes are so huge it is so filling even for big groups. The staff are all very warm and nice, serve very well. The place is very cozy, blends well with what you expect when you visit Vigan. It's also near the touristic Calle Crisologo. This is resto is recommended.

Danilo Abiday11:55 07/17/22
Place is very cozy. Dining area is big enough. The building is an old building approx 100yrs. old as you can see the evidence 1meter (3'3") wall with timber beams and flooring on second floor. They serve bèef steaks and other mouth watering foods. They have their own beer brewery which the crew tour us there. Me and my son are both driving so we just tasted 4 flavors of very satisfying beers. My sister also taste the beer. The crew were so polite they entertained us very well. Our experience there exceptionally very good.

Lovely place with delicious empanadas.During my 2-days stay in Vigan, I came here everyday for empanadas. The empanadas are big, so don’t order too much. 🤭

Fria Mina00:22 08/08/23
The King Empanada here is very Huge. You can share it to two more people. Its delicious because it is made to order. It's very authentic. I hope they have a ketchup cause its more delicious with vinegar and ketchup. We went here after walking around Calle Crisologo Vigan where the tourists go. 5 star for their Authentic King Empanada.

John Louie Nepomuceno05:50 06/18/23
Food is good, but there were items labeled as available but were not available.Ambiance is good but the service is okay. When we arrived, the staff were eating so maybe, they’re just tired.Well hey, we’re here for the food and ambiance, not the staff.

Peggy Hankins03:36 06/09/23
A young woman on the ship recommended this place to eat. Deep fried empanadas but amazingly liight, crispy and not greasy. Excellent!

rose infante03:26 05/09/23
For some reason their empanada is a notch higher than other empanadas I've tried. Same simple ingredients, but the taste of their dough and batter for the okoy, they did it right. The service is a little slow, but the taste, price, and ambience makes up for it.

Alma “Babaeng Gala”17:06 04/22/23
They cooked to order empanada and okoy here. You have to patiently wait for your meal. This is a must visit place. Just Forget and don't mind their grumpy staff here. I think they don't even know how to be polite or smile . The food is good despite the unpleasant experience with the staff.

Rohan Muralee06:58 04/07/23
Great freshly made Vigan empanadas! The place has a lot of seating both covered and uncovered, but it's very popular so you may have to wait for a table.Tried three different empanadas and they were all good, although I enjoyed the double all meat the best!

Aldrin Alo08:22 03/23/23
My main objective when I visited Vigan is to find the best empanada and yes I did find it! This rustic themed eatery serves the best empanada in the whole of Vigan. They're made fresh as they will cook right in front of you. They also served one of the best Okoy, easy top three for me.What we ordered:Empanada KingDouble double special all meatBagnet EmpanadaOkoy

Rocky Acot16:11 07/27/22
Note: This is a delayed post, and I'm hoping this restaurant didn't sustain a lot of damage from today's July 27,2022 earthquake. My cousin who's also a restaurateur from Vigan took me to this top-rated empanada eatery in Vigan. And it did not disappoint!I can now classify Vigan empanadas as street food, and gourmet. This eatery does gourmet. This eatery tries to elevate the Vigan empanadas to a whole new level of gustatory bliss, set in a historical, almost -romantic setting. They are at the highest price range of the empanada kingdom, but it shows in the size of their empanadas.... Not to mention the unlimited chopped onion that they provide you. However, I was not too thrilled with their version of okoy. I'm searching for a particular style of okoy- this is not it, but not bad either. If only they served cold beers to go with the empanadas!

Greg Carter05:23 05/04/22
Great example of the local cuisine. Cheap and filling and good flavours. Very popular place so you’ll have to wait a little.

Jodi Lee12:00 05/03/22
Round the corner from Crisologo is a great empanada place. Almost self service place where you order from the counter and they will deliver to you. Plenty of tables inside and out. Had the king and the special all meat and an okoy. Tasty with the salt and vinegar.

Katherine Cortes07:14 05/01/23
Good place for ilocos empanada. Their empanada is actually better than the ones we tried at the plaza and they offer different varieties - from the regular empanada (with pork longganisa) to empanada with chicken, tuna, crab, etc.I recommend the basic empanada (P50) with cheese (P10 add on).

Aby G13:22 03/07/23
Ordered the combo special which had both bagnet and longganisa in addition to the egg and veggies. BEST EMPANADA among all that we had. Freshly made by order and worth the wait. Their wrapper is very fluffy, flaky and buttery, almost like a savory croissant empanada wrapper type.Already craving one as I’m writing this 🫠

Jonathan Taño09:44 02/03/23
I was alone when I visited. The Empanada is the best! Though it's very oily. You should eat it right away or else the oil will spread and the food will be soft.Just a typical carinderia that you see.

C San Diego05:08 11/29/22
Empanada tasted good. Both the pork (Vigan longanisa) for 50pesos or the special empanada with bagnet for 60pesos.You can opt to have it heated.Vinegar is sour for my taste. But surprisingly compliments the empanada.Empanada is crispy, papaya is the main vegetable with 1 whole egg. Size is alright. Their empanada has a generous amount of vigan longanisa compared to some empanada I have tried.

Biyahe Ni Chichoy14:43 09/18/22
I loved their Sinanglao, it was my first time to try it and made me want for more. Unfortunately I was not impressed with the special pork longganisa empanda, I honestly liked the empanada from Kapurpurawan (Pagudpud) better 🙂 Their okoy was quite oily as well. But the place was chill, and their staff were friendly.

Ching Pangilinan12:44 02/23/20
The iconic empanada of Vigan finds its best home in this humble eatery. My favorite meal is the combo jumbo for 100 pesos, a whole meal in one empanada that includes hefty servings of longanisa, bagnet, vegetables, and egg, deeply fried to crunchy perfection. Also has great service, they delivered my orders for free at our hotel since there was a wait when I ordered.

The only place in the Vigan tourist area that is open until late. Drinks, snacks, and music at an outdoor table are pleasant. There is a service charge here

Erick Corocoto13:05 04/09/23
First of all, the barbecue is though as a leather shoe, and for the price? Not worth it, a nearly 1.5k meal that first makes you sleep waiting for it before they serve it, then serve you the though meat meal, is not worth it. SERVING MORE FAT THAN MORE MEAT IS TRASH MOVE FOR THE PRICE. SHUT IT DOWN!

Rachel Killock15:18 02/10/23
Visited last night with my family while in vigan and 4 out of 5 of us got FOOD POISONING!!The reviews looked okay and it was busy so we thought give the place a go.Dishes ordered -Chicken bbqBagnetDinakdakenLiempoBagnet kare kareRice4 out of 5 of our family members the following day have had food poisoning symptoms of diarrhoea, vomiting, fever/chills and severe stomach cramps. The one person not ill only ate their own meal choice and is unaffected! This has completely ruined the trip to vigan and as a result we have had to extend another night here and pay out additional accommodation due to not being able to travel as family members need to be in close proximity to bathroom facilities!I do not recommend!

Ace Ryan Jamorabon16:36 10/27/22
This place is great at night!!The food was great. The place is lively. I believe famous actors have been also to this place. The downside is, the toilet stinks and unsanitary. Better take your business somewhere else.

Stopped by 1995 Studio Cafe to grab some drinks. The coffee was good (ordered Spanish Latte), the place is just a bit tight. I highly recommend trying the Hibiscus tea.✅ Service water available✅ Clean restroom inside the cafe✅ Pasalubong available (Marsha's Delicacies)

Jerome Bautista (coconut_adrift)06:40 06/27/23
It was raining so it was time to hop into a cafe to wait out the storm. I'm glad I came here!It was quite busy, as almost all of the tables were taken, except for the 7 seater. I felt a little guilty as a single person taking that table, but eventually other people shared the table with me. There were people working, studying, enjoying their food, or like me, sipping coffee. The decor was nice, with woods and brick, local artistry, and soft music playing. The seats were comfy and the server brought me my coffee, which is nice 🙂.I had a cappuccino hot. The artistry was good, the cappuccino was also good. I was able to journal and do some social media while I sipped on the coffee. It helps there's wifi! I enjoyed my time there and would encourage others to go as well.

Kevin Consi11:47 06/25/23
My visit to 1995 Studio Cafe was absolutely exceptional. From start to finish, everything was flawless. The cuisine was exquisite, with each dish showcasing incredible flavors and impeccable presentation. The service was top-notch, with attentive staff who anticipated our needs. The ambiance was elegant and inviting, creating the perfect atmosphere. I highly recommend 1995 Studio Cafe for a truly outstanding dining experience in Vigan!

Jeremy10:41 06/22/23
Jesus Christ, that Pistachio Latte is an abomination. I won't even ask God Almighty himself to have a try of that drink. What's worst is it's the most pricey drink and has "must try" tag.

Blue Penguin800004:14 06/20/23
The food tasted very good. We had their cheeseburger w/bacon, carbonara and 2 refreshing lemonades. The atmosphere was relaxing and comfortable. We’d come back to try new dishes and coffees.

C San Diego14:03 11/28/22
Restaurant ambiance is relaxing. Nice to eat and talk with friends.Food has generous serving.- for sharing is good for 3 persons. Simply delicious.-Nachos is good. It has big jalapeno toppings, cheese, tomatoes and beef. Extra beef toppings is only 45pesos.Nacho chips is very crunchy.Milk tea salted caramel- very sweet. Creamy. Needs more ice.Had dinner on a Monday. Already closed at 9PM.

Jap Guarin10:27 10/25/22
I saw reviews saying they they have reasonable price. When you check the menu, maybe you’ll say the same. But… wait until you get the servings. I did not find it “enough”.Saving grace though is I loved all their pasta. Their bagnet sinigang is bomb, then again, when they say it’s for sharing…lie.Drinks are okay, except the milk teas which are damn too sweet.Place is nice. Service is okay.

Christian Wawrinovsky09:54 07/25/22
Nice for take out and nest time for visit more on afternoon before evening after lunchtime. Great fries onion rings and coffee are my favorites there.Good location on the center from vigan! One from best choices!

Excellent location with lovely interiors. We just didn't get to order much, but so far we liked it. I can't wait to go back and try their hot chocolate.

Kenneth Lingan08:58 12/29/21
This is a great way to end your tour of Vigan. Conveniently located at the end of Calle Crisologo. Their food is good value. Great ambience. The place is packed when we went so expect some waiting time. I would recommend the Bagnet Tofu sisig and pares. But of course when in Vigan, order the Ilocano food platter.

Food is great. Good sashimi. Sisig is nice. Longganisa pizza is so-so. Place is cozy and quiet on certain hours. Some staff are friendly, some are not so friendly. Anyhow, I would go back again.

The venue may look old, but it adds to the charm and experience. The food is great, with a surprisingly wide variety to choose from. Service is fast and polite, and prices are very reasonable. No wonder the queues never end!

Kwik Acuna07:13 06/13/23
The restaurant offers Filipino food. It wasn't busy on a weekday. Servers were accommodating and shared jokes with guests. The price range is a bit high but that's because serving is good for 2-3 people.

The place is awesome and the food was good. Calamari is perfectly cooked. The bagnet is good with the poke poke as matched.

House favourite pizza formaggi tastes awful. Imagine the rest of the food. Service is so bad they didn't even offer you water... Try 1995 studio on the opposite side instead

Wow! An incredibly big menu to choose from, yet the food was extremely good! Very filling and for a crazy cheap price! Will eat here again!

This cafe is conveniently located along the entrance of Calle Crisologo. When we got here, it’s like we travelled back to 1800’s as this place is preserved and it is one of the oldest houses in Vigan. We tried their Poque-poque and Cafe Leona Native Special which consists of Bangus, Longganisa, Bagnet, Pinakbet and Rice. One of their staff said that their Native Special is good for one but it can actually be shared by two persons, just order additional rice. Their selections are fairly priced and they serve these generously. Overall, we enjoyed our delicious foods. We would love to visit here again and try their other foods.

Allain Jing World Travel00:42 04/03/22
Once you enter here in Cafe Leona. Get ready for time travel to year 1884. Place is preserve, food is delicious, amazing people. One of the oldest house here in Vigan. A must visit here.

Conveniently located along the entrance of Calle Crisologo, near the Plaza. I love the heritage house ambiance of this restaurant, as well as the outdoor seating. There's usually a queue since many tourists eat here but the wait is worth it. Food is great! I love the Vigan Express we ordered. Their selections are fairly priced, generous serving, and taste really good. A must-try restaurant when you're in Vigan. Will definitely eat here again and try more dishes.

McRey Banderlipe II12:05 12/27/21
Cafe Leona is a must place to dine whenever you are in Vigan. Due to its popularity, expect a long queue in their guest list and long waiting time before your food is served. It really tastes good though. Please be patient with the staff handling your orders and preparing your food.

Amazing Heritage! the beauty of the place has been preserved. There are a lot of souvenirs to buy (tshirts, magnets, keychains, etc), restaurants and entertainment on the sides.

Maria Go00:14 07/28/23
a whole street with preserved vintage architecture. you can either walk around or ride the kalesa. the street is lined with cafés, pasalubong centers, bakery and much more! the street is also walking distance to their plaza and other main city establishments. overall, a good place to just chill and appreciate what vigan has to offer.

Agnes Liquigan16:36 07/20/23
Went there on a Saturday at around 11:30pm with my family. It was raining. The street was quiet with a little eerie vibe to it. The stores were already closed except for BarTech which played live band music. It helped to somehow counter the creepy feel when you walk in between the old houses. It was actually fun because we had the street to ourselves and we were able to read some notable details about some houses. We appreciate how the houses back then were built with remarkable detailed designs and how it was adorned by vintage furnishings and stylish decors and flags. Indeed a must see, especially for those classic and spanish architecture fanatics. It has quite a story to tell.

Nikko Tani11:04 07/06/23
While amazing for first-time visitors, it would be best to avoid this area during the peak seasons as crowds can ruin the experience. Parking is a real issue, too - be prepared to spend time finding an accessible slot. Other than this, it is a shopping paradise with accessibility to some great hotels.

H B16:01 06/06/23
It's beautiful especially at night, lots of local tourists so it can be crowded just by walking along the road...difficult to admire old houses coz some are totally abandoned and some were renovated with a mix of stores on the ground floor. It was a lovely hot day and pretty busy but the influx of people comes smoothly so you could still take some pictures.

Kates08:55 06/01/23
A real street that has turned into a tourist attractions, its pride is its heritage houses that is well-preserved to give a glimple of the history. Here you can find multiple souvenir shops, restaurants, hotel, travel kiosks and horse carriages.

gmark jacobe05:18 05/18/23
Who is not familiar with the iconic street in Calle Crisologo. A must visit when you are in Ilocos. You will admire this historical place that reminds you of the early Spanish days. The houses or infrastructures should be maintain and preserve to retain this historical place.

Thots Urpiana15:55 10/21/22
This is a heritage street in Vigan, Ilocos Sur. You find different businesses and establishments here maintaining its heritage beauty. Nice to have photo ops here in the day or night. You can ride the famous kalesa here and it can tour you around Vigan. Must visit this place as tourism really helps this place.

Camille Arandil09:03 09/04/22
The buildings and road design of the area gave me the impression that I had traveled back in time to an 80s movie. Because of its beauty, history, and safety, this area is a good place to stay.May we Filipinos never grow weary of preserving our culture and showcasing it to tourists that come to our country.

binsenteu sarang07:29 06/20/22
Great place to spend the night with.Brings back history feels. A must visit place. Try everything. Take the risk. One thing that's super cute are those stores that also has historical designs. 🥰

Engelbert Tabones11:34 04/18/22
It's best at night, but it's also good to walk here in the mornings and buy taho. I prefer this place during regular nights (and not on a holiday) when you can enjoy the place with few people around.Get your good cameras ready, because it's picturesque. You can park by the cathedral or in some curbside that allows parking and just enjoy it while walking.

Kay.Tolentino Gaspar12:02 04/10/22
One of the best preserved heritage site in Vigan, Ilocos Sur. Century old houses built during the Spanish era and owned by wealthy families lined up the famous cobblestone Street. Totally awed by the site of old houses; some well maintained and preserved and used as stores, etc., while some houses were completely abandoned and maybe forgotten. I'm pretty sure that each house holds a lot of stories and memories. One of the must visit when in Vigan. Late afternoon or early evening is the best time to visit. Just be sure to wear comfy shoes to enjoy the place.

This Maxs Restaurant is located at the entrance of Calle Crisologo it was next to the statue of Leona and in front of Cafe Leona. It has a big space able to cater to more than 100 customers.Price: very affordable(for some)Sample: Group of 9 (expect to have 3k meals) complete with rice, 4-5 dishes and Halo Halo.Place: 10/10Crew/Staff: All accomodating 10/10

This Maxs branch is absolutely adorbs and unique! Strategically placed in a corner of calle crisologo, it was perfectly housed in an old structure which added oomph to the otherwise blah ambience of a restaurant. Glass mirrors allow you to sightsee people walking by, as well as the stores nearby. The space maybe felt a little tight but it was alright.

Dean Stanley05:41 02/14/23
A little disorganized staff, hard to understand menu, food is decent but overpriced for what it is, Philippino friend also could not identify menu items made up names with no explanation, I think assuming they are such an institution of course you know... pretentious.

It's a sad experience dining here. After waiting for long to be seated, we were served the saltiest pancit we've ever had. We had to send it back to the kitchen. Portions were ridiculous. Check out how small this "regular" chicken is. 1 star.

I appreciate their obliging to take advanced orders through their hotlime number (here in Google Maps). The Lechong Kawali Kare-Kare's price is unjustified, and lacks meat. Sizzling Tofu will always be a favorite paired with rice.Crowd may be plenty during peak-seasons and holidays.

Staffs here are nice and serves good food. Awesome place too

Mari Lyn21:37 05/27/17
Popular among locals and tourists alike because of their great tasting chicken and unlirice. Normally crowded so be ready to wait a long line to get to the counter. Lots of seating area outside so no need to worry in finding a spot in this resto.

DISAPPOINTING. A crew was very rude it is as if she can do whatever she pleases. We were following up our order since it took more than the time your crew told us upon preparing the meals and as she was the one coming to and fro in front of us so we keep on asking her. She didn't paid us attention. moments past and another crew came out to serve our order.

Good breakfast at the other end of Calle Crisologo. We were the only ones there so attention to us was excellent. Go to the toilet as you will see it is located in a very nice building.

Average food for average prices. Ambiance is okay and the staff are attentive to guests. We ordered:buttered mussels - 3/5, old stockigado - 4/5, tastes goodsinanglao - 2/5, blandtsokolate de vigan/hot choco- 3/5We also occupied a table for 6 persons but there were only 3 of us. They did not remove the other 3 sets of utensils until we were done eating. They only dished out the soiled ones and kept the others where they were - unsanitary. limited parking is available in front of the restaurant. The restaurant is generally clean.

I Love the food. You have to have a taste of their Sizzling Longganisa! 😋

Tomas Ang04:25 06/27/22
breakfast here was better compared to our previous hotel.only issue I had is that they leave unused cutleries and glasses on the table, if you use a table for 6, they won't remove the other 4 pairs of cutleries and glasses, after your meal, they will remove the 2 pairs you used and the next guest will use the 4 pairs you did not use. not good during these times.my wife loved the fruits they served. unlimited black coffee. good and friendly staff.

So yummy and so sulit. Must visit place in Vigan. They are open early in the morning and can cater heaps of people. Tables and chairs are plenty and arranged spaciously for the comfort of the costumers. Sarap talaga. You can pick your own preferred part and you can ask for your soup to be refilled.

Great food, the best Sinanglao dish in Vigan!

Bas Santiago00:18 01/31/23
First time in Vigan, all the way from germany. The line in front of the shop forms for a reason. Sinanglao was on point. The perfect breakfast to get you through a hot sunny day in Ilocos.

joel anthony Gutierrez23:00 12/25/22
Super delicious Sinanglao. No wonder there is a long line here. Unlimited soup and you get to choose which parts you want. Ample serving too.

Erick RO05:35 05/10/22
We came all the way from the South (somewhere in Cavite). My cousin and her husband, wanted to taste the best dishes of Ilocos Region. Since we’re here in Vigan, there’s no better way to start the day with a very late breakfast of Sinanglaw. Sabaw pa lang panalo na! It was a first for them and they liked it! Even my 10 year old nephew and chief cook uncle loved it! Extra soup and extra rice was badly requested! Their resto only serve Sinanglaw, Arozcaldo, unli soup, rice and soft drinks. A must try Ilocos dish whenever you are here up North! 👌🏻❤️ Btw, this is a new location.

Carlo Andrew Olano02:43 08/13/19
This is one of the places that I will always visit when I am in Vigan. For me, this one of the best offals soups in the Philippines. It's so hearty and it is a favorite meal along locals to start a busy day. You can eat unusual meat cuts and organs like heart , and testicles. If you are adventurous with food then this is the place to be in Vigan.
