2nd time of dining here. The 1st being previously inside the Lucky Chinatown Mall before the pandemic and this time around they have moved to the hotel next door on the 4th floor. On both occasions the food and service has been highly recommended. We're already planning to come back again before heading home to Sydney for a food trip in Binondo and have another scrumptious meal at King Chef Restaurant

One of the best Authentic Chinese restaurants I've experienced. I truly enjoyed their dimsum, it's so tasty and heavenly. Great selections of menu from dimsum, noodles to popular Chinese dishes. The staffs are all warm and accommodating. I really missed this place and will definitely go back again soon!

Radz Sajiin02:54 05/30/23
Place for great dimsums at affordable price. We also had the taoso fish but the taste is not for me

Emer A.13:26 03/28/23
We enjoyed everything that we ordered here. The Hakaw, beef brisket, the dragon kiss drinks, I love their Original (HK) bubble tea!!! We ended up getting a membership card of 450 pesos to avail the discounts. We will eat here again! The service was awesome. Nice staff.

Our first time to try King Chef, luckily they were still accepting dine-in customers (an hour and a half or almost an hour just before the mall's closing time). Service was fast and staff were accommodating. Food was great and just right for the price. It's best if you eat in a group since their small size serving could be good for 3-4 people. We were 2 and we ordered a small size Hot and Sour Soup (our fave), we barely finished it despite having 3 smaller bowls each. But it tasted really good! We also ordered Xiao Long Bao, Buchi, Salted Egg Bombs, Steamed Seafood Bundle, Hakaw, Pork and Shrimp Siomai, and their HK Milk Tea. Their Salted Egg Bombs is very much like a Buchi, though I barely tasted the salted egg flavor, but it was still good, same as all their other dimsums! Their Milk Tea has the right blend, it tasted great! I actually thought our order wasn't enough for two, but we left King Chef with full and heavy tummies! XD We'll definitely go back and hopefully during their dimsum promo! 😀

We ordered spinach seafood soup, pancit canton and almond custed shrimp with chocolate sauce. The soup and pancit were both good. The shrimp with chocolate sauce was a risk we took but did not like it. Its just weird dipping or pouring the choco sauce in the seafood. The combo did not work for me.

This is a good place to enjoy chinese food. The service and food was good enough for its price.Though the place can be more comfortable with better ventilation.

Johansson Santillani08:29 12/10/22
It was my first time visiting Lucky Chinatown and luckily I stumbled upon this restaurant and it was worth every penny! The servers were very accommodating and they made us feel like royalties. The place was decent and spacious. Food was delicious! 9 out of 10!

Shiela Pasague06:56 07/27/23
My partner and I ate here for the 1st time on July 2nd week. The restaurant has 3 floors. The ambience on 3rd floor was just okay. There was a designated waitress at each floor so service was fine.We ordered the following dishes:Sincerity fried chicken - 3 stars. I think this is overhyped or the cooking just changed. I was disappointed on this because the flavor was bland. The reviews say that it was 'to die for' or it was so flavorful. I barely tasted the spices and marinade that i was expecting for. It was crunchy on the outside and juicy inside, but that's it.Sincerity fried rice - This is like a normal fried rice we can cook at home but it's better to partner with the fried chicken.Fried oyster cake - 2 stars. We didn't like it. The malagkit ingredient was weird and medjo malangsa daw sabi ng partner ko.Kikiam - 4 stars. It was good. This is the only dish that tasted like an authentic Chinese cuisine.Garlic spinach - 3 stars. Nothing special about this. It's okay to partner with a meat because it's vegetables. The taste was nothing flavorful.Honestly, I think it's better to look for other Chinese restaurants because I didn't experience the authentic Chinese flavor on most of the cuisines, except for the kikiam. I think it is just overhyped, or they change their cook so the food is no longer as it used to be.

Andrew Holbert12:17 07/12/23
I ordered a half Sincerity fried chicken and a small fried oyster cake. Both are excellent but I had no chance of eating even half of the oyster cake due to it’s generous size and the fact my eyes were bigger than my stomach! Chicken is excellent, a rather delicate flavor and very crunchy! I do prefer spicier foods but for Amoy style this is excellent!

Calzita, Leren Hanna B.07:22 06/28/23
I always order their original sincerity chicken and sincerity fried rice. It's the best combo! They have the best chinese style fried chicken I have ever tasted.

We were fortunate enough to be seated immediately upon arrival, which occurred before lunchtime. There was a thirty-minute wait before the meal was brought out to the tables. We went with their bento express, wonton soup, and kikiam for our meals. The chicken had the flavor of a typical chicken with some additional seasoning, but we didn't discover anything particularly remarkable about it; therefore, I don't understand why people keep exaggerating the quality of their chicken.

Jayvee Velez11:16 05/01/23
We went there on a Saturday and arrived a little before lunch. It's a good thing we went there early. When we arrived, the place almost full. The first and second floor were already full. Service was fast and the staff are friendly and polite. I liked everything we ordered except for the duck with misua soup. Their Sincerity Fried Chicken was to die for. Crispy and juicy on the inside! It has now become my standard for fried chicken! I will definitely go back here. You will definitely get your money's worth. Quality food at an affordable price.

Elaine De Los Santos18:36 03/22/23
Comfort food at its finest. Half order of fried chicken is good for 3 persons (2 persons if super hungry). The fried chicken was so flavorful, the breading itself was already well-seasoned. The fried rice had strong lap cheong taste, which I like. It was not too oily and could be shared by two persons. The solo order of chami was hefty and packed with sahog (veggies and pork). Although seats were limited, the dining area was clean. Service was fast. They even handed out portable alcohol sanitizer spray after the meal.

Erick U18:24 09/26/22
Their fried chicken is good! No need for gravy. There is a hint of sweetness, not just umami. The place is refreshing and clean, although waiting time is a bit long. There were a lot of people when we came here though.Make sure to go here during breakfast or lunch if you plan to visit, because they close early.

Patrick Trinidad11:14 09/14/22
How I missed their fried chicken and oyster cake! And for today’s lunch I am back with a vengeance 😉They moved to a new location…much, much better and well lit! The ambience is still the same but most importantly my fried chicken and oyster cake have maintained its taste and quality 😋

Chip Esguerra06:12 05/13/22
Sincerity chicken remains undefeated! Special mention dishes are the Polonchay with Garlic, Shredded Beef with Onions (!!!), Sincerity Chami, and Fresh Lumpia. The only downside is really the overall atmosphere and cleanliness of the restaurant itself - but I understand the charm this place has. Definitely a must-have when you're around the area of Binondo.

Edberg Garduce13:36 01/31/22
Place was crowded when we went there on Jan 30, 2022. Chinese New Year was only a few days away so that was only expected. It felt unsafe because of the pandemic, but I'm glad that their servers strictly required diners to present their vaccination card.It was 1pm when we arrived and servers were still busy. After around 20 minutes, our orders were finally taken. We indulged and ordered their bento meal (a mix of several items including fried chicken, which is their best-seller), fresh lumpia, machang and siomai. It took quite a while for our orders to be served but that was understandable. For a heavy meal for two, we spent Php700, which is already fair considering that we had to take out the siomai and fresh lumpia as were already full. You can actually spend half and still be full.Place seems worth visiting again on off-peak hours to try their other offerings.

This place remains a top-quality nostalgic experience for many Chinese-Filipinos who grew up in or frequented Binondo. Definitely one of the top 5 iconic places that represent Binondo cuisine.I suggest getting the pork chop tossed noodles, and pair the meal with either a wintermelon drink or soy milk. If you have the space for it, do have a silver roll or fried dumplings to share, on the side. You won’t regret it.

Patty Nermal10:49 07/21/23
You can find this place just beside Binondo church. Parking is quite difficult so I suggest you park somewhere else and just walk. The food is really tasty. The pork chop is really a must-try! The wintermelon juice has a nostalgic taste, brings back childhood memories. They also accept GCash.

Teena Custodio22:32 05/10/23
When we went to eat here, there was a power outage, but to my amazement, they continued to cook even though there was no electricity, and the restaurant was extremely warm on the inside; after all, if it was already hot at the tables for the customers, how much hotter could it get in the kitchen? In light of this, the culinary staff deserves praise for continuing to work despite the circumstances. We decided to get one of their famous pork chops, and the portion was shockingly large. This is well worth every single penny!

Winston Pura (Tonton Thoughts)02:14 05/06/23
About one of the best places to be #WhenInBinondo. The food is phenomenal. I make it a point to take home silver roll bread buns with Hongma pork despite my long travel afterwards to share with the family. The service is also not too bad. They've gotten used to the many celebrity visitors so they know how to handle customers pretty well without being snubby and cold. The atmosphere is cramped though and that's how you know you're in an authentic Chinese restaurant, I think--focused on the flavor and less on the trappings of a 'striking ambience'. Will be coming back for more of course.

Elaine De Los Santos11:57 03/23/23
My expectations were a bit heightened, especially when the name of the restaurant is Tasty Dumplings. Steamed dumpling was just OK — flavorful filing, but the dough was too thick for my liking. You can also order a fried version. The famous fried pork chop rice was humongous! It occupied the entire plate. The meat and breading were both well seasoned. Order came with a side of sautéed veggies and a cup of rice. Dalandan juice was just OK, tasted like artificial powdered drink. Seating was limited. Staff were polite and quick on their feet.

Christine Estrella03:59 03/01/23
The dishes lived up to our expectations! We ordered Hongma with the Silver Roll bread, both were the melt-in-your-mouth kind, the beef noodle was forgettable. Hongma was succulent and even the bread you can enjoy it on its own. It has a crispy layer soft and fluffy inside. Overall a memorable dining experience and wish we had more space to order more!

Jasper Tan13:29 02/15/23
Tasty Dumplings is always reliable. Affordable, good and satisfying. The restaurant is a bit small and crammed, and the service can also falter during peak hours; but I'd still recommend the place and try their pork chop and dumplings.

Zallei Go06:56 11/23/22
One of the oldest authentic Chinese restaurant in Binondo. Located just beside the Miraculous Binondo church. I highly recommend their crispy pork chop. Though the place is very old and small like a typical restaurant during the 80's. Cleanliness i will rate it very good.

Logan Chiam06:43 05/19/22
Delicious Pork Chop And Dumplings! Tucked in a quiet street in Binondo is this hidden gem specializing in Pork Chop And Dumplings. The dining area is small and can be a bit of a squeeze when crowded. The staff who assisted us was very nice but the others a bit rude. The food to be honest although tasty (no pun intended) is just average but worth to try! This restaurant can definitely be improved both with service, dining area and food. But is good enough as part of your Binondo food tour experience!

ARBN16:12 07/25/23
This place is so overhyped. Definitely not worth using up limited space in your tummy for a foodtrip in Chinatown. The dumplings weren’t particulary good and the relatively high price didn’t reglect the poor taste well. The place only serves take-outs and the storefront isn’t even very inviting. Staff were also not the friendliest - they weren’t rude or anything, but they also weren’t hospitable.

Victor Yap14:15 07/01/23
We went for some dumplings, we ordered the steam but its not really steam it's boiled in the water,we also ordered the fried dumpling. Food was ok but not that really good small piece of dumpling and small amount of meat. And no dinning here if you want to eat the food you can stand or seat along the road. I just wish they change their container they should use the paper container not the styro one its burn when you ordered the fried dumpling.

Elaine De Los Santos08:44 03/28/23
I don’t understand the hype. The kutchay pork dumplings were OK, but certainly not the best. They weren’t even that flavorful. I suggest that you eat the dumplings as soon as you get your order, because waiting or traveling them for a few minutes will get them all soggy and sticking to each other. Also, they are only for take out. The place does not have dining area. The staff gave out order numbers, but they did not serve in chronological order.

Wency Orbina06:02 03/15/23
Kuchay dumplings were not bad. But perosnally, it's not something I would crave for. But the service is very accommodating. They have established their name in town, really, and I commend that.

S N08:20 03/07/23
I mean... the dumplings were alright. I can't imagine walking here, waiting 45 minutes and eating outside again. There are no tables or chairs. Basically, you just wait for your number to be called out on the street. Kuchay dumplings were cheap, though! So, if you are already in the area, you may still want to check it out. It's not something I would go out of my way for, though.

Anna Monique Dizon17:49 01/28/23
I honestly don't understand what the hype is all about. Their dumplings are average. I find the wrapper too soggy. The meat inside is kinda bland. Sauce can still be improved. No parking available and they only accommodate take out. Not wheelchair accessible.Service was fast, no long lines when we went here. They only accept cash for payment. If you ask me, will I come back and eat their dumplings again? No. It's not worth it.

クリステル07:55 07/24/22
I can only say that their dumpling is freshly made, but it is not to my liking. I tried the kuchay pork dumpling. I tasted a bit of soury, maybe because of the kuchay. When we got there at 11am on the weekend there was a queue of people. Their dumplings are available for take out only. You just need to get a number, order what you want and pay for it first, then wait for your number to be called then your dumplings are ready.

Martin J L03:29 07/24/22
Quality isn't the same as it used to be as far as i remember. The wrapper/dough is good but it's too thick.Wait time for cooked dumplings is about 15-20 minutes. No dine in. You can eat it in front of the store while standing or you can sit by the dirty steps 🤣

laurenne angel14:31 01/05/22
Flavorful Kuchay dumplings served steaming hot! The store is unnoticeable but you can find them in Yuchengco street with a large tarpaulin at the front of the store. Take out only

Jason Chu04:58 07/29/23
Remarkably and unexpectedly authentic and tasty. Great service and order arrived promptly. Generous portions and great value. A few of the items we wanted to order weren’t on the menu though.

Jai Otamias05:16 07/11/23
Sorry to say this but The Great Buddha Cafe is only great because of their ambience. While their noodle soup is okay, their lemon chicken took 45 minutes to serve and it tasted like it was reheated from a microwave. The portions were indeed too small, as said by the other reviews here. The staff were also arrogant when we asked for a follow-up on the lemon chicken and didn't seem to know what they were doing, and gave us the wrong bill at the end. It was a bad experience and will not recommend this restaurant to anyone trying to food-crawl in Binondo. We only tried this place for the experience but never again.

Jan Emille “Emil” Tena13:15 07/03/23
I was very disappointed with my visit to the Great Buddha Cafe. The place was crowded and noisy, and I had to wait in a long line to be seated and served. The food was overrated and bland, and the portions were small. The staff was rude and incompetent, and they gave me the wrong food order twice. The experience was not worth the hype or the price. I would not recommend this place to anyone who values quality and service. The Great Buddha Cafe is a waste of time and money.

Dickies Baguio10:36 05/31/23
I agree with previous clients, staff are busy bantering about their mundane existence, within hearing distance, while we dined. Food is served very slow, one at a time, no plate is served, we had to ask for it. Other clients had to wait for some time for their bills, while most staff seem not to care. Ambience is fine, staff members require TRAINING, or better yet, replace them all.

allan khoo19:01 04/30/23
The Great Buddha Cafe in Binondo is spacious and has an interesting design with a statue of a sitting Buddha and lotus-shaped ceiling lamps. There’s also a little souvenir shop that displays local handicrafts. We enjoyed the food here and the service staff are attentive and friendly too.

jasca p15:16 04/06/23
This is one of the restaurants we checked out in our binondo food crawl. The ambiance is very nice, they have proper airconditioning and the beef noodle soup that we order is good. What I think they need to improve is their customer service, I don't think if they are short on staff that's why they couldn't cater quickly to the demands of the customers. Though you could see that their servers are trying their best to accommodate everyone's request. Still it's a nice experience and they have souvenirs that you could also check out.

Carla Bautista08:39 02/18/23
Food is good, some items we ordered were a little salty to my liking but still tasted good. Staffs are accommodating and would advise you if the prep time for your order will take a long time. We arrived before 12noon on a saturday and luckily we were first on the waiting list. After we came a long waiting line could already be seen as it was already lunch time. Over all food is great and the price is reasonable.

Patrick Trinidad12:43 11/12/22
The only thing that saved this place from a 2-star rating is the ambience. Very Hong Kong or Beijing feels. But the food was too flat tasting and the service took forever! If ever I would come back here it would be just because of the beautiful Chinese Opera characters ref magnets! And that will be the only driving force for me.

Albert Issa12:46 07/24/22
The staff are VERY inattentive. The service is BEYOND bad. The food takes a while to come out (not the place to come if your hungry)The food: very average. Maybe even below average. Warm. probably because the staff can't get it to your table quickly enough. The restaurant was half empty so no idea why it takes them so long and they let the food sit there)The tables and chairs are designed poorly. You cannot rest your back or your legs whatsoever. It makes it uncomfortable, especially because you'll be waiting a while for the food to arrive.

Logan Chiam06:18 05/20/22
Spacious Opulent Restaurant With Affordable And Yummy Dimsum! Probably one of the few restaurant in Ong Pin/Binondo with nice interior which is refreshing to see in contrast to the hole in the wall eateries around. The high ceiling and purple-centric design is elegant and blends well with Eng Bee Tin’s signature color. The dimsum is superb! Make sure to order the pan fried dumplings! Service is a bit slow so be patient although we went in straight around lunch time on a Saturday, a long queue was already forming when we finished devouring our dimsum. This is a must try when you are in Ong Pin!

Daneyyy14:11 05/08/22
The ambiance is nice and the place is neat. I enjoyed their food, but the service was too slow. Probably because they lack manpower. We waited for about an hour to be seated then after we ordered, the food came like after 40mins and the order weren't even fully served. So it took quite a few minutes more before they've completed our order.

Affordable authentic Chinese food. But nothing special. It's good for its price. Not something that I would spend hours to wait in line.Service were fast as well.

Lee Buenaflor-Erpelo05:47 07/02/23
**will update experience later pag nakakain na kami... haba pila eh 😅**Update: So... we waited 2hrs to be seated (It's Saturday at 12:30pm). Not sure why we waited that long 😅 (tinamad na maghanap or maybe because we were intrigued by the popularity -- why the loooong line of diners all willing to wait). The food is good, but I can't say great because the time we were seated, we were too hungry that anything served tasted delicious! 😆 The dishes I'll probably reorder are the dumplings and fish fillet in white sauce. The xiao long bao though is a disappointment. It was under-steamed. The place is not air conditioned so it was a less enjoyable dining experience. The food are not that cheap, priced almost the same as air-conditioned restos. Maybe next time, I'll just order thru grab/food panda from them.

JeiFer00:03 06/22/23
Our go-to dimsum place is Binondo. Fast service. Our faves are Beancurd Roll, Spareribs in Tausi, Cold Milktea, Siomai. They also have Roasted and Asado Pork / Duck

Joanne Angeles02:11 04/30/23
Super loved the food! Everything was delicious - hot prawn salad, the dumplings, fried rices, veggies, etc. Pretty cheap too. We just ordered too much but it was all worth it!

Elaine De Los Santos00:13 04/30/23
A must-visit in any Binondo food trip. There’s a reason why this place gets crowded during weekends and meal times (yes, long waiting lines!). First time to try their oyster omelette and it was everything I hoped for — crispy edges, glutinous filling, and fresh ingredients. I also ordered buchi and spring roll — both delicious and addictive. The iced coffee was creamy and sweet — good way to cut the savouriness and greasiness of the food. Service was fast, and the staff gave good food suggestions and served with a smile.

Rohan Muralee06:53 04/01/23
Good place for dim sum in Binondo, with a big menu of reasonably priced dishes. Be prepared to wait though especially at busy times at the weekends - had to queue for an hour as it's very popular, but was worth the wait. Service was fast and friendly too.

Yair Palti04:58 01/25/23
Authentic place!Really great food. The best was the shrimps dumpling. But all other dishes were good. The service was great and the menu was well explained by the waiters. The tea was perfect with the food.Recommend!Hopefully, we can visit again once in Philippines.

Anna Krzak21:42 12/18/22
Fantastic dim sum. There are always a line of people waiting for their takeaway food 🥘 At around 10 am there was still a place to sit at second floor, but at 10.50 all the tables were already taken. Lunch time has started this early. There is huge variety of the dishes to choose from but the dim sum is obvious choice.

Jasper Tan12:06 11/01/22
The food is definitely good and affordable. We ordered the salted fish fried rice, lemon chicken, ham soy kok and roast duck mami, which were all good. Our bill totalled to 990 pesos only. Parking is a challenge especially on a regular day and the floor is slippery.

cecile faustino09:56 05/10/22
Food - all the food we ordered are sumptuous and delicious except for the lechon macau which is quite overcooked and hard to bite. We requested for replacement but they rejected our request.Service - I would have been totally impressed if not for the rejection of our request.Ambiance - no AC. Small place though its already 2 storey restsurant.Overall I would come back to order their other food. They have a lot of offerings and seems delicious to look at.

Food was delicious fine ingredients big portions good for group sharing. Clean facilities very attentive servers very good service. It's worth trying and definitely going back to try the other dishes

Keith Cisneros11:19 05/19/23
The resto was recommended by a close friend of mine since I have a chinese blood myself. The atmosphere was cozy yet seems old and very private since this restaurant is hidden from the public eye. Food was delicious with reasonable pricing. You can experience a private dinner or a cozy date with your love one. You can get a decent meal with a budget of 1500 good for two persons. The service crew was attentive and super friendly. Highly recommended!

Jolina Borja11:15 05/19/23
The Royale Sharksfin Seafood Restaurant is a restaurant that serves quality and authentic Chinese cuisines, such as prawns, soup, steamed fish, peking duck, and more. The restaurant is located in Binondo, Manila, and has a calm and elegant ambiance. The service is hospitable and cool, and the food is tasty and generous. The restaurant also offers a celebration promo for events and gatherings. The only problem is that the restaurant does not have decent parking spaces, so customers may need to park on the street at their own risk. Some of the recommended dishes are the spinach with some leeks, the golden fortune prawn yang, and the almond dessert. I would recommend The Royale Sharksfin Seafood Restaurant to anyone who wants to enjoy a fine dining experience with Chinese flair.

Michael Ancheta11:06 05/19/23
Food tastes and price are incomparable. Keep on coming back. Don't need to go to China for the taste. 😋😁 Give a try and you'll see!

Rexcel Entienza11:02 05/19/23
I recently had the pleasure of dining at The Royale Sharksfin Seafood Restaurant, and I must say it was an exceptional culinary journey. From the moment I walked through the doors, I was greeted with warm smiles and impeccable service that set the tone for the evening ahead. The restaurant's elegant and sophisticated ambiance immediately caught my eye. The décor was tasteful, creating a refined atmosphere perfect for a special occasion or a memorable dining experience. The lighting was just right, creating an intimate and cozy ambiance that added to the overall charm of the place.

Ronie Codal06:05 05/05/23
If you're looking for the best Chinese food in town, look no further than this restaurant! I had an amazing experience here and would highly recommend it to anyone. The food was above average and the service was excellent. The staff were friendly and polite, making for a pleasant dining experience. I went for lunch and found the price per person to be very reasonable, ranging from ₱200-400. The atmosphere was also great, earning a perfect score of 5. Overall, this restaurant exceeded my expectations and I can't wait to go back!

Darlin Aviles12:30 05/04/23
The food is great and the place is cozy. The staff were accommodating and very attentive. I would say that the place is quite pricey but well deserved, considering the quality of the food.

Mark Robles06:33 05/04/23
Great place to eat at if you're craving for chinese food. Their specialty is a must and their dumplings are just a chef's kiss. Will recommend.

Kim Alexis Estrada07:06 05/01/23
This is the best Chinese restaurant I have ever tried! I will definitely recommend this to my friends. The food is above average and the staff are very friendly and polite!

Gileah Zuasola07:02 05/01/23
I celebrated my birthday and my cousin’s birthday here way back 2021. The service was excellent, it has a room for a family to have like a privacy, the foods were delicious especially the sweet and sour fish. Excellent

Jessa Nicolas11:02 04/29/23
Food is great and the service is also commendable. This is the closest to authentic chinese cuisine I've tried so far. Good prices as well. Recommended.

Mikeeh Lhuillier11:58 04/20/23
This is probably the perfect Chinese restaurant for people who want good food, good ambiance, at a good price.First thing to note is that the entrance to this restaurant is hidden from the public eye. That is, you won't know how to get in there unless you ask the security guard for directions. This restaurant cannot be seen from the outside. It is accessible via a slightly hidden elevator. The ambiance seems old (again), but the restaurant is clean, and has less noise than most restaurants here in the Philippines. Please be informed that it doesn't look like a restaurant at all but an office space converted into a restaurant with all the dining tables and all.The food is not perfect, but it's delicious none the less. The taste is just right, not bland not too tasty either (just right for my liking). Service wise, it could be improved - but I don't have any problem with their service as of today. The tables are big - it feels like they are expecting large groups to dine here all the time. It also seems like there are VIP rooms based on my observation.Price wise, I'm happy to say that it's affordable. For two person, you can have a decent meal for 1,000 pesos or maybe less.I recommend this resto for people who loves Chinese dishes.Overall Experience:Ambiance: 4/5Food: 4/5Service: 3/5Value for Money: 4/5Note: Please be aware that my rating for ambiance is (very) biased. Since I am an introvert, the less the customers are, and the less likely passers by notice me, the better. 😁For people who are driving, you can park your car inside the ETY building just next door. It's along Quintin Paredes street.

李Annabel05:36 09/15/16
They're not open from 2pm to I don't know what time. 50% off all dim sum daily so you would expect them to be open for tea time but they're not...Tried their food before when they have tea time before. It was good. Not a crowded place either.

Real Customer Reviews at New Po Heng Lumpia House:

Charlene Mae Valderama13:49 07/29/23
Yummy. Second best of the fresh lumpia in Binondo.

Johan Floyd Boles15:31 05/22/23
It was okay — was a one-off for me. Sadly, forgettable. The added sweetness from the sugar topping was a cherry on top, but overall, I had better fresh lumpia from other places at a cheaper price.I think it was due to the overwhelming amount of ingredients that seemed to overpower the complexity of flavors. Simpler is better in my opinion. The sauce seemed liked it was thickened with too much starch, which sadly lacked flavor.

LeWayne Ballard17:34 04/12/23
Came here after getting a recommendation from a local tour guide. It's located on Carval St. which is an alley full of many food vendors selling fresh fruits, vegetables, and cooked items. This place will stand out by the long line. You'll quickly figure out the end of the line as it seems chaotic at first. Line moves fast as they're quickly handing out the orders. Lumpia was very large and good. Full of many fresh ingredients inside and very crispy on the outside.

S N08:28 03/07/23
The Lumpia was really good! I wouldn't say it is the best lumpia I have had, but I would definitely eat this again, if I could! It's cheap, and the service was quick even if there were a bunch of other people ordering. I took this out and ate somewhere else, though, as they do not have any tables or chairs.

Jeyson Escosia09:07 02/18/23
For me I don't like it much since their Fresh Lumpia is on the sweet side. Too sweet for me compared to Aboy's Fresh Lumpia. I don't know if they also put sugar inside the Lumpia but I ate something grainy and sweet. But if you like sweet, then it's a good choice for you to have a quick snack.

Law Esquivel17:14 02/07/23
Very filling with that hint of nutiness coupled with sweet-savory taste. The sauce kicked it up the notch by marrying all the flavors. Overall a very satisfying meal!

Eizen Barleta02:21 11/20/22
New Po Heng serves probably the most famous lumpia in Binondo. I think they don’t have a space for dine-in customers. The place was humble. It’s a mere stand with glass and plastic covers to separate the “kitchen” from the area where the customers place their orders. They put the lumpia inside a styro, along with two packs of sauce. Their lumpia is easily the best I devoured. The tofu and veggies inside create a harmonious taste, but the sauce is the bomb! Definitely a must-try in Binondo.

AJ Peñaranda07:07 10/07/22
Simple, yet tasty and filling! The nutty, sweet flavor came from the crushed peanuts, combined it with the other fillings, really wins it for me! It's already sweet for my taste, so think twice if you want to use their sauce. Will definitely come back again!

Kim Sapallo07:34 08/26/22
Lumpia is sooooo goood! Not sure about the green thing but i'm thinking its green tea leaves together with crushed peanut. Mixed with the sauce, its a comforting feeling.

Waited for about 2hrs to be seated. The service and the food is great. Ordered hakaw, siomai, soy chicken and yang chao. Loved the hakaw and siomai. Got amazed as well on the coke and lemon combo. But not a fan of the yang chao, kinda bland. Will I recommend it? Definitely. But go there na busog pa 😅

ARBN03:00 07/26/23
Rather unfortunate how much the quality of the food here has deteriorated. It’s still pretty good by general standards, but with how bad the service is and how 2 out of 3 times, I have an issue with how slippery their floor is and esp. so when they wet it with dirty and oily mops without putting up a Caution sign, this place has now been removed from my list of go-to places in Chinatown. At certain times on weekdays and practically most of the entire day on weekends, there’s a long line, it’s price and quality has now become more for tourists rather than licals who want to have a proper or nostalgic meal.Cash only.

Josh04:08 06/18/23
The food was hands down very good! Huge servings and the taste is very good. Highly recommended for people who likes Chinese food specially dimsum. However, the place is very dirty and the staff are not nice. The tables are very dirty and the place is very old. They might want to tidy up the place a bit and do a bit of cleaning. Other than that, the food is really awesome. Should be a 5/5 but the place really needs some improvement.

Kelvin Magno (Kelvin)00:30 06/01/23
All the food we ordered was generally good. The dish that we liked was the classic Siomai, unexpectedly. You have to expect a long line outside the store even when it's still closed in the morning. They also have seating upstairs, but the area is not always well-kept. Wai Ying is still one of the restaurants you should go to when you're around Binondo.

Princess Carolyn06:08 04/19/23
Good food. Really worth it. Went here around 7am. There was no line but only dimsums were available. The place kinda looked a bit dirty. The service was okay, not that fast but understandable. Really gives u the chinese fast food feels.

j marx06:56 04/17/23
If you are looking for an affordable Chinese restaurant with great staff and good food, especially their fried wontons, this might be a good choice for you. However, the environment may not be as clean as you would like, and they only accept cash payments.Despite the cleanliness issue, the restaurant seems to be popular with a lot of customers, which could be a sign that the food is consistently good. However, if you are someone who values a clean environment, this may not be the best option for you.Additionally, because the restaurant is popular, you may experience wait times during peak hours. This is something to keep in mind if you are in a hurry or have limited time.Overall, if you are willing to overlook the cleanliness issue and are comfortable paying in cash, this restaurant might be a great option for you. Their fried wontons seem to be a standout item, and the staff has received positive reviews for their service.

Jonah Bolaños00:31 03/09/23
The food & crew were amazing. There was a long queue when we went there (2 hours waiting time) maybe because it was a Saturday. So don't come here super hungry. You can opt to get takeaways if you live close by.Manage your expectations as to the dining area as this is a fast food restaurant.

Patricia Marie13:56 02/14/23
The taste is OK for an authentic Chinese food experience in Manila. Great value for money, the portion is just right, the quality is good. The servers are polite and attentive especially the guy who assisted me named Khai.

Maria01:35 12/07/22
There's a waiting line. Luckily it didn't take us too long. The place needs more cleaning, the food was okay. It's just the variety of food that makes it famous I think. And it's affordable for most of restos around the place

Erick U17:38 09/25/22
Dimsum like siomai and hakaw are top-notch for a reasonable price. There was a long line when I ate here. My group had to wait for around 40 mins to get seated so it's quite popular.

Jennylyn Sevilla08:13 03/23/22
Organized even before entry. Might ask for vax card, e-copy will do. Airconditioned dine-in area. Price is competitive. My kids enjoyed the food. The roasted duck is flavorful. Fried dumplings, and friend wanton are okay.wamton noodles is good. Friendly staff.

Jose Rocky Quijano12:10 03/04/23
We have been here 4 years ago and I am very much happy to say that it is still the same ~ sumptuous food and excellent service. For the prices of their food, it is a little bit expensive given that we only ordered 15 pcs of the steamed dumplings & the spareribs lamien(not sure if it is correct). We paid 600 pesos for it. But for us, it is definitely worth it and they have bigger portions of food. Also, they will/you can ask for extra soup for your noodles. We love it! Not salty, savory and fresh. ❤️❤️❤️ Worth every dime.

Althea Tan15:12 04/11/22
My favorite chinese resto of all time! Really love their beef Kan Pan noodles! It costs 300.00, good for one person but it's super delicious. Noodles are hand pulled noodles, you can see the chefs making noodles and cooking them so you can assure it's cleanliness. U just have to wait in queue sometimes coz it's gained popularity. They also have no reservations and doesn't have parking. I remember this only cost 180 before the pandemic. 😅

TRAVEL EAT PINAS08:39 01/22/20
Beef Wanton LamienBeef Wanton Lamien has generous toppings with sweet and beefy broth, tender beef and al dente noodles and vegies. Each sip of their soup will surely give you a refreshing and satisfied feeling. A bowlful of Beef Wanton Soup costs Php 230.Steamed DumplingLAN Zhou La Mien's steamed dumpling has well seasoned pork and kutchay filling. You can choose from 7 pieces dumpling (Php 120) and 15 pieces dumpling (Php 280).Both Beef Wanton Lamien and Steamed Dumpling is good for 2 servings.

Jonath Abraham David07:14 01/15/20
Bit costly but worth the price!!500 php for 2 persons.....This place has a nice variety of Chinese dishes to choose from..... as a foreigner I feel this place really gives your taste buds a treat!! They also provide soup which comes in beef and chicken flavors.... If you are near the intramuros you should really visit this place as it's the best !!

Sarthak Sahu16:32 06/07/18
Lan Zhou La Mien is a groovey little Chinese Restaurant located in the Binondo District of Manila. This is the world's oldest Chinatown. A little historical note for you all. My kaibigan Sidney is the one who introduced me to this place and I am glad that he did.The food here is really amazing. They are famous for their lamien. It is so favorable and the noodles they put in it are nice and thick. Not skimpy like at some of these intimation Chinese places that you'd find in Makati. Oh no, no. I recommend that you try their fish lamien. That is my favorite. It is so masarap. But then again they are all masarap. The staff is nice and friendly. But not pushy in anyway. They are not trying to up sell or any of that nonsense. I hate it when waiters and waitresses try to do that. "For $2 more you can add a flying turd with your noodles" and blah, blah, blah. Here they just take your order, bring your food, and then leave you alone to enjoy it. But they will refill your water glass for you.So if you want to eat some delicious Chinese food at a place with friendly service, a groovey atmosphere, and prices that won't break your wallet, I highly suggest that you visit Lau Zhou La Mien in Binondo. If you prefer cheap imitation joints with rip off prices, I suggest that you stay in Makati. Salamat for reading my review. Until next time may the force be with you.

LGee04:40 07/22/23
Do not believe the vloggers, They were given freebies.Food is meh… all hype. We ordered xiao long bao but told it’s not available. Service sucks, the table turn-over was fast but nobody was efficiently managing the in/out of people. It takes about 15mins to Buzz the table, when it could have been used by the new customers. We lined up at 10:10am and was seated at 11:00am.

RXCORE DX06:14 07/01/23
Always packed with people, it is always better for me to take out foods from here. Ordered 4 orders of Lechon paksiw. Quick and easy payment. Will definitely enjoy my orders from home. 😁

yka feng10:37 06/03/23
We've waited more than an hour for available seat.We ordered beef wonton, xiao long bao, kikiam and hakaw.Xiao long bao is always best.Beef wonton noodles has generous serving.Kikiam is super nice.Hakaw is only 4 pcs but huge.Service crew can be busy but still accommodatingServing time of food is just normal and expected to be bit busy due to number of customers going. All in: this is typical chinese fast food with good food at it's price. In case you are starving, i suggest you go to different restaurants available around or even small chinese eatery which has same or lower price but same quality of food since quan kee is too famous and customers arr always jumpack.

Christine Castro-Pangilinan15:34 04/25/23
One of the best and oldest resto in ongpin. When we arrived there were three or four groups ahead of us waiting to be seated. We waited for our turn but then the waitress said that we can go to the cafe above ( cafe mezzanine) and order food from the menu of chuan kee since the owners are the same. We ordered kamto soup, family-sized stir-fried canton, family lechon macao and 3 dimsums (xiao long bao and shrimp hakaw). Everything was great! I especially liked the cucumber chicken xiao long bao. The taste is refreshing and unique because of the cucumber. We wanted to try other meals but we’re so full that We ended up taking out our left overs and was able to share it to a street vendor (that grateful smile in kuya’s lips was the highlight😊).

Elaine De Los Santos12:06 03/23/23
The hype and taste are not worth the long wait. Seriously, the xiao long bao was too doughy and soggy (perfect bad combination!). A lot of items on its menu were not available — including their famous golden lava buchi. They served the most underwhelming lechon kawali that I have ever tasted. The only saving grace was their black gulaman, which was served very late. The staff were very nimble and alert. You cannot get mad at them because you can see they are doing their best to accommodate all customers.

Daryl Joe Santos15:31 01/04/23
The waiting line was quite long when we came (around 5 pm), so we waited for ~20 mins before we were seated. We ordered good portions of food to feed 5 people. The food started to come ~10 mins later. Overall, the food is great; most of their dishes are good to try. I recommend the avocado shake when it's available.

Engr. John Dizon15:04 09/18/22
The taste and price of each food we ordered were good. There might be long queues for customers due to popular demand. The price was somewhere in between not that low and not that high. Serving is good also.

Booie M16:28 08/15/22
I've always been curious to try this place given that most of the time I've dropped by, the queue to get in was almost around the block. Finally, I got a chance to try it.At first glance, I didn't think too highly of the menu choices. Seemed regular stuff. In any event, maybe they did make these relatively "normal" dishes in a really good wayDing ding ding! I really was pleased with the flavors of everything I ordered. Now I know why there's such a huge queue to eat at this place.Oh, if you're expecting "fastfood" prices as they brand themselves as one - you'll be in for a surprise. They are pricier than your average fast food. Still worth coming here despite the long waiting lines.

Tam Nguyen22:55 06/16/22
The food was so so, not fresh, most of them are frozen food then been heated/steamed/fried when there's an order for it.-The lava cake was halfway fried with one cake was already dented( not sure if it was from previous table...)-The springs rolls was fried in a hurry so that they're not much crunchy and taste not good inside.-The black chicken soup was just a little with one thigh of chicken, quite disappointedThe food quality really needs to be improved, still wonder abt its crowd. Me and my frds all agree not to go again.

cecile faustino11:55 05/03/22
Food - we ordered xiao long bao which is dry and the wrapper is not soft; tsinoy chicken which is just like the Chowking oriental chicken; hakaw tastes bland; lechon kawali is just so so; beef noodles tastes ok.Ambiance - we waited in line for almost one hour. There is no AC only fan which is expected of a street food set up. Social distancing is observed.Service - crew are quick and attentive to our requests.Price - affordable

Real Customer Reviews at Sincerity - Lucky Chinatown:

Kaye Peña01:17 08/08/23
Celebrated my pre-birthday lunch here spontaneously with my family, and I’m glad we picked this place among many other choices because this has easily become one of my favorite restaurants in Manila. Be mindful though that this restaurant is packed especially on a Sunday noon, and that waiting for a table can take half an hour.We ordered soup, noodles, rice but the chicken was the star of the show! It’s well seasoned and is a mix of sweet and savory, which paired well with the Sincerity fried rice. For the huge portions, I think this is one of the few-value-for-money restaurants in Lucky Chinatown and I’m excited to go back.

Irish Patricio12:45 07/19/23
Ordered Duck Misua Soup, Kiampong and Sincerity Fried rice, Oyster cake, Loba (pork), and Sitsaro with Shrimps. The food was delicious and filling. We only spent about 1,200. Nevermind the presentation- taste is king! Want to come back for the other dishes. The place is small so it can be easily packed. However, service is fast.

JoeyBoy pommers Chompilo lacson Marquez00:26 04/26/23
Sincerity has gotta be one of my favorite places to get Chinese fried food. It's just a hassle to go to their main branch so I'm very glad that they opened a branch here in Lucky Chinatown Mall. They serve all the Sincerity favorites like their signature Fried chicken and Kikiam. If you are a little adventurous go ahead and try their fried frog legs which is a definite must try. Sadly my wife didn't want frog legs this time. We ordered their Chicken and it was super delicious as usual! It's been awhile since I tasted their savory fried chicken and I'm glad that they kept it the same, crunchy and extra flavorful! Their Kikiam is also one of my favorites and it is another recommended thing on the menu! Just be ready because Sincerity has pretty big servings. We bought a big plate of chami which is wet pancit with big noodles and it was super delicious but we couldn't finish it. Their chowfan or Shanghai rice is also big. You wont regret their serving size. So be ready to take home some of their delicious food to go. The only thing i guess i didn't like was the gulaman. It wasn't sweet. I would recommend just getting a can of coke instead buying their gulaman. Price wise, it's very affordable for the amount of food you'll get. Overall, Sincerity is a must try place to visit if you go to Lucky Chinatown Mall. If you don't like the hassle of exploring the streets of Binondo, then head over here to try old time classics at the convenience of the mall. ☺️✌️

Princess Carolyn05:50 04/19/23
The decker was very nice. She really cares if you get seated right away or not. She also gets your order in advance so when you're already seated your orders will be served immediately. Good food. Great value for money. Just be a bit patient because there's always a line before being accommodated.

Renz L14:54 12/16/22
Sincerity in lucky chinatown mall tends to be crowded but luckily you can still get a seat. There is no toilet inside this place.Always get their fried chicken and sincerity fried rice. Recommended. If the frog legs are available, it is also okay, especially for your foreigner friends. The rest of their food are so-so, but for me, the fried chicken is the best.

Kneth Sarinas17:40 11/05/22
Good food specially their chicken. Also tried kikiam and also tasted great! Price is good for the serving portion and service was quick. We had brunch at around 10:30am and the place was almost filled. We went there on a Saturday which was expectedly to be busy. Place was small with about less than 10 tables. The only order that we did not like was the gulaman as if we were just drinking cold water and the iced tea that was super sweet. But overall, good food!

Ken Aranas16:41 10/31/22
Their fried chicken really is the star of the show! The serving size was great and worth the price. With the wife variety of menu items, it's hard to just choose a few! We tried the lomi, siomai, sweet and sour chicken, garlic kangkong, and Sincerity fried rice. Overall the taste was on point and was well-worth the wait! Can't wait to come back and try other options!

Merry Kristine Ferrer20:17 05/03/22
Fried chicken is good, it has a distinct taste.Gulaman is very sweet. We have to add water to neutralize the taste.Kikiam is very good!Fried rice is very tasty!
