If you still advertise with the 2018 certificate, you know that the service used to be better. They were more busy soaking tables with alcohol than seeing the guests’ glasses with no more water. Only the friendly request put the service into action.
The dishes came quickly, were partly served (sushi) on plates that were too small, so that the sea urchin sushi melted and tried to spread out on the table (I know that it was disinfected). The sushi/shashimi were very small, so I’m used to better quality/quantity from Taiwan. Price/performance does not match here, but maybe you will come back to the performance of 2018 at some point.

The food was delicious as always. I mean, that Kare-kare is really good. Also other dishes are outstanding.
You can’t really complain about the food. Service is also very polite and friendly. But what makes this “Max’s” special is the view.
Eating good food with friends or family and having this view just made me appreciate everything even more. It’s just breathtaking.

If you’re craving for some Japanese cuisines and at the same time wants a quite/ relaxing place then this is the one for you. The foods are great and the price are also reasonable. It just is a few meters from the highway of Tagaytay and they also have enough space for car parking.

The place looks ok, but also felt something is missing. I almost feel that there pandemic has affected this place hard.The lettuce garden at the back is really nice and very peaceful to look at.
The Wagyu rice and Wagyu Saikoro Steak is a bit of a disappointment. Correct me if I’m wrong, but the meat is harder than the Wagyu cubes I tried before. Maybe it was overcooked.
Ebi Tempura tasted like something is missing. This includes the Tempura sauce.Miso soup is good, not that salty.

Chicken teriyaki is not too sweet. The maguro sashimi is of good quality and not frozen.

Quality and prices are good. I enjoyed the minestrone, it had a lot of vegetables and good broth. The lamb chops were perfectly seasoned. I’d recommend getting it medium rare as the medium was a bit on the tough side. The ravioli was a bit acidic with the sauce and the filling needed a bit more seasoning. The pistachio sansrival was delicious as well. The staff is very attentive and hospitable. I’ll be coming back to try the other things.

Great place with a great view. Went here on a Monday morning and there were barely any people.
The food is top-notch, I would say. The pumpkin soup and fish & chips in particular were outstanding!! Other dishes in the pictures are the breakfast platter and Bangus breakfast, they were good as well.
My only complaint is that the restroom is abysmal. There is literally only one toilet and the door leading to it is NOT A FULL DOOR. There are gaps at the top and the bottom! You will have no privacy! This is kind of outrageous for a restaurant. If you have no need of restrooms, then the food and the view should be worth it enough.

Bag of Beans can somehow be considered a Tagaytay institution due to its decades long legacy. Menu is decent although I expected more variety from their place. The food here is really delicious and somehow overpriced, which is expected since it’s a fine dining restaurant. The 10% service fee is already added in your bill but you can still tip if you like.

A very relaxing place to dine in Tagaytay. Open-spaced Italy vibe restaurant with a nice view. Customers can participate in pizza making of the pizza they ordered only.
The wait staff are neat amd lively. The food we ordered are relatively good. They have private spaces for large groups. The place is highly recommended for a romantic date and family celebrations.

Love the atmosphere! Le Creperie is always a great place for desserts and to watch the view of Taal. We ordered (of course) crepes, but we got the crepe cake and the apple caramel french toast. The crepe was the star of the meal! Even if you’re not a fan of desserts, the crepes are light and not too sweet! A favorite for any Tagaytay trip!

Otherwise, their service is excellent. Staff is very friendly and accommodating. Serving time is just right. I loved their hot chocolate. Just the right amount of sweetness. Their truffle pasta is perfectly cooked and their Matcha Crepe cake is unexpectedly my favorite.

- Ambiance is very good especially if you were seated outside so you can enjoy the view.

This restaurant was recently renovated and is now operational. As the name implies, this is the highest location inside Tagaytay Highlands. It’s sad that they had removed the cable car system that ferried people between here and the Golf Clubhouse.
There’s a walkway that goes all the way around the restaurant giving you a 360° view of the vicinity and the view is spectacular. You can see Taal Lake and Volcano, and you also have a bird’s eye view of the golf course and Clubhouse. Since there are no other structures nearby, It’s usually very windy here.
The menu has changed as well, this is like an extension of the Highlands Steakhouse, although the menu is not as extensive.

Our group came on a weekend and arrived almost noon. Since we already had brunch we were lucky that there wasn’t a long queue and that there’s vacant tables and chairs for us to enjoy our.cold brew and iced coffee drinks! AND marvel on the beautiful view of Lake Taal.

I came here for a late breakfast after a night at a nearby hotel. It had come highly recommended and I can understand why. First off, the place is quite large, with several different areas all with slightly different decor – each of which has it’s own special charm.
The food itself was excellent and there were a lot of options to choose from. The staff was very helpful and kind. Definitely a place worth trying (though I hear it can get busy during weekends and holidays, so plan accordingly).

The ambience and aesthetics of the restaurant were very beautiful. My family and I took tons of pictures at the different places in the restaurant.
The downside would be the food. The food itself was ok; but it wasn’t something that was worth the price that they charged for, nor did it mean we would come again for it. If anything, I think they should’ve just focused on the cafe aspect instead of the restaurant aspect.
