Visited Whitegrass on 7 June 2023.The ambience was great; however, as the crowd started entering, the dining area became filled with voices, which made it less conducive for a business lunch. We each ordered one set of the Executive and Creation menu. The food was okay, with the financier being the highlight.Manager Wendy was exceptionally attentive to details, even offering me a scarf when I felt cold. Lai & Xuan consistently checked on us, ensuring that we were satisfied with the food and the pace of the meal.Overall experience was pleasant.

Dine at Whitegrass on their lunch menu for my wedding anniversary. My hubby and i were greeted warmly and guided to a dining room with about 7 tables. The waiter and waitress were very attentive and thoughtful. Every dishes served were accompanied with short introduction of the ingredients. The ambience was nice and not too noisy, food were served promptly but not hurriedly. The server was even very thoughtful to ask if we were ok with the pace of serving in between each course. 😊Chef Takuya came out personally to speak to us. Had a wonderful celebration and dining experience. Looking forward to our next visit again. ☺️

Amazing food and cocktails, amazing service and nice vibe. Every single dish had a good balance of flavors and combination of textures. The two different types of bread were one of the best I ever had!

Came here with my husband to celebrate his birthday and had a wonderful time. The food was scrumptious, service was excellent and we even got to say hello to Chef Takuya. We tried the executive and creation menus for lunch and both were amazing. The team here was also very accommodating to change a few dishes on the menu when they heard of our diet restrictions. Greatly recommended!

Had a truly enjoyable dining experience at Whitegrass last weekend. Every course was like an artwork, very creative in terms of ingredients, and had their unique mosaic of flavors. I particularly liked the belt fish and sea bass, as well as the thyme sorbet/melon dessert. The bread was a bit too oily for my liking but quite interesting in taste. Service was warm and attentive; if the dining room offered a bit more privacy/seclusion between tables it would have been perfect.

A cosy restaurant with warm and professional waiting staffs. The cuisines were brilliant but some part of the services were lacking. We asked for cold tap water but was charged for still water. The serving pace was fast (I thought it was just us). The service staff checked with us regarding the pace right before our main course which we felt would be better if they asked at the beginning of the course. The creation menu was splendid and main was our favourite. The service staff offered to plate both duck and beef together as we ordered both. The meats just melted in our mouth. It was also nice of chef Takuya to serve our last dessert himself.

French fare with a contemporary Japanese twist at Whitegrass. One of my favourite meals thus far. We enjoyed every course of the meal and we could finish the food without feeling too overwhelmed.I was so in love with the financiers that I wanted to buy a pack home (too bad they ain’t for sales). How can something simple taste so good ? Their desserts really wow-ed me over.It was nice of Chef Takuya and the crew to greet the guests at the end of the night. On a side note, we were pleased to hear that it was awarded one star in Michelin 2021, well-deserved!

George Mui06:48 01/29/22
Fantastic dining experience at this restaurant. They have an amazing Japanese chef who serves up great dish creations. Each of their course meals were like unique artworks in their own right. The various tastes within each dish complement very well with one another. Chef was very friendly and amiable too. The waiters were very interactive and informative about the food ingredients. They also gave useful instructions on how to eat and consume the food for the best enjoyment. This is my second time here and the experience is just as great, if not better.

Michelin star restaurant hence food standard is good. Every dish is flavourful and the service is friendly. Though I would prefer the servers to be wearing mask as they need to interact and introduce each and every dish. This is hygiene and mutual respect for diners.

Emily Lek03:44 05/11/23
Delicious meal, especially the special glazed carrots (cooked in orange juice) and the morel mushroom soup. We didn’t get enough of the warm bread so asked for more. The ice cream trolley before the dessert course was also a treat. Finished off with a simple yet elegant and satisfying Mille-feuille with vanilla cream.

Katong Panda12:04 04/28/23
Les Amis has been around for close to 30years. For the most years i have known and as their loyal customer, it is one of only three restaurants in Singapore with Michelin 3 stars. Their real savory food, the best ever produced, executed artfully and beyond being tasty, many of their cuisines, including their amuse bouches is just delicious.

Chloe Walker03:01 03/16/23
This was our first Michelin star restaurant experience and it did not disappoint. It was our honeymoon gift to each other. The menu had changed from when we last looked at it online (we were in Singapore for a holiday) and thus my husband was a little disappointed initially as the first two courses were very seafood heavy and he is not a seafood fan. However he was willing to give everything a go.When our waitress realised that some items really weren’t to his taste she and the other staff went out of their way to make sure the rest of our evening was impeccable. They provided us with so many little extra tasters, a beautiful cheese board, and an overall wonderful experience. The food was exquisitely French and the service was 5 star.Everyone in the restaurant had a laugh when the lights went out due to a power issue and it lightened the mood with one of the wait staff making it into a joke about ‘magic.’Thank you to all the staff who served us and made our dinner/evening one to treasure and remember - we would absolutely recommend friends and family who enjoy top quality food and wine to book at Les Amis.

Michael Needham12:44 02/16/23
Les Amis skillfully blends the traditional and modern elements of French cuisine, resulting in a magnificent symphony of flavor and presentation. The culinary expertise is evident in each dish, with the meticulous attention to detail and the use of only the freshest ingredients. The refined ambience provides the perfect setting for a luxurious evening, heightened by the professional and courteous service of the maitre dee.The premium price tag may cause hesitation for some, but the quality of the experience cannot be overstated. The indulgence of the cuisine and the elegance of the atmosphere make for a truly unforgettable dining experience. Les Amis embodies the pinnacle of fine dining and should be on the must-visit list for those seeking the pinnacle of culinary excellence and luxury.

Staffs are excellently kind. Chefs just pour all the caviar and truffles to the menu. You cannot deny this. Breads are good. I wanted to steal all of them, really. Also this restaurant has a fabulous list of wines. You must ask for the pairing with the food.I could not meet Chef Sebastian after finishing my course, but I would like to thank him for these brilliant menus and shake his golden hands.

Teck Boon14:49 12/21/22
Oldest 3-Michelin stars restaurant in Singapore. Food is always consistent and the service is impeccable. There really is nothing more to ask for throughout the entire dining experience. Staff are always around but at no time intrusive. They have the most as among chocolate tart, and their clementine dessert is one of the best thing I’ve ever had. While the menu changes these 2 desserts are always there. Please give them a try.

JY11:37 07/24/22
Although I'm usually not a fan of super fancy food and wasn't sure what to expect when I entered this low-key but elegant restaurant that just won 3-star again, I was completely blown away by the food. From the beginning till the end, each dish was simply sumptuous. Even the ice cream after the meal was top notch (I recommend you get two flavors, especially the coffee one). Each dish had layers of tastes and textures that felt very natural together. Service was personal and with a dash of easy humor. Definitely one of the best 3-star restaurants I've had around the world.

David Chai12:34 04/03/22
Service is excellence and warm. Server are knowledgeable of menu, and response fast to request.Wine pairing is great as the wine they served with each course are well matched with each dish.Food was good, just felt a little too heavy for me from start till the end, would appreciate a little more room or time for me to rest or refresh my palate during intervals.Overall was a good experience, as many dishes were prepared using the traditional French technic.

We visited in April and had a wonderful time dining at Restaurant Ibid. The menu was well thought out and the dishes absolutely delicious. We really enjoyed interacting with the staff and Chef. Chef even took the time to made a list of restaurants we should check out in Singapore. Everyone there is really passionate about food. This is definitely a place for a food nerd. And as gen z would say, the food is bussin’.

Audrey Koh10:11 04/25/23
We had a lovely dining experience at Restaurant Ibid. Anita was very attentive from the moment we entered and sent us out the door at the end of the evening. We also enjoyed the conversations we have had with her and Chef Woo very much. Will definitely be back, thank you!

Lim Carina16:23 04/07/23
My boyfriend and I celebrated his birthday at Restaurant Ibid and I must say, it was an exceptional experience. From start to finish, the staff were warm and friendly, making us feel right at home. We were impressed with the attention to detail that went into every dish, as Chef Woo himself took the time to explain the menu to us and answer any questions we had. It was clear that each dish was carefully crafted with a deep understanding of ingredients and flavor combinations.Overall, I highly recommend Restaurant Ibid to anyone looking for a truly memorable dining experience in Singapore. The level of care and attention put into every aspect of the meal, from the food to the service, is truly exceptional. We left feeling satisfied and impressed, and can't wait to come back for another visit.

Diogo Mendes11:13 03/08/23
Congratulations to all the Ibid team. We had a great time last night - amazing menu with wine paring. Totally worth the experience.Throughout the dinner (don’t miss out a sit at the counter) we had the chance to talk and observe the chef Woo. That made this experience even better. Totally different from all other fine dining I have been. We could appreciate all the small details and techniques.

sonq Q16:45 02/17/23
Had the wine paring tasting set. Really interesting culinary experience. Impressed by the attention to details and passion that goes into the preparation and presentation. As this genre involved freestyle creation with minimum scaffold from tradition and beloved recipies, there will be some hit and miss. It’s mostly hits here, the Hungarian pork, sourdough with Korean sesame oil tops it while the A5 Waghu misses slightly as the peppercorn stock drowns out the beef’s flavour though it’s still a tasty dish.Highly recommended!

Roxy X14:02 12/15/22
10/10 would recommend. Every mouthful of food was thoughtful, layered and infused with flavour. We really enjoyed the set menu and paired wines, the intimate setting and the intersection from Chef and his crew. Looking forward to coming back!

Shawn13:49 10/07/22
Came here to celebrate my birthday. There was neither a dull dish nor a dull moment and the food was impeccable. Chef Woo made my girlfriend a cocktail and took care to decipher what she liked. I wish him and the restaurant all the very best, and we will most certainly be back 🙂

Sam T04:01 05/07/22
I have been wanting to try this place for a long time and I'm glad I did. The service was amazing and they take time to make small talk. I liked the counter seats because you get to see all the action. Their dinnerware was also really pretty.Food-wise, I liked how it was innovative but delicious and the portions were just right. There was no course I disliked, but the pics were the four that I particularly enjoyed, especially the pineapple tart. 😀

Rachel Ong03:03 07/28/23
Service was great and the restaurant has a really nice, classy ambience, but unfortunately I felt the food was very underwhelming. We had the burrata, spanish octopus, cheese puffs, chicken liver donuts, shokupan and chicken salad. They were all pretty average and some of the flavour pairings felt a bit awkward or muted, save for the chicken salad which we really liked.

A&A Traveler10:09 05/25/23
Visited during lunch time.Good service.Good atmosphere. They have 2 or 3 course lunch. I got the hamachi starter and salmon as main course. Both are very very good. I also tried the burrata (very good). My friends got the burger and ribeye steak (they said they were good) and the eggplant vegetarian main course (I tried it, it’s nice but very small for a main course). The dessert is so-so.We tried their signature bread too, it’s very soft and slightly sweet on the outside, reminds me of a less sweet panettone.PS: this is the old Black Swan (now redecorated and rebranded)

Dru Lu03:17 04/16/23
Very nice ambience with good 2/3 course lunch selection. Cuttlefish panzanella is cooked perfectly with good char but still moist which goes well with sweet Cherry tomatoes. A good light lunch option. Generally very good feedback on all the courses except on the burger.Added berry almond crumble to end the meal. Tasted great but on the high end of sweet chart. Desert options lacking for those that are diet conscious.

Clarice Cheng10:12 04/10/23
Excellent ambience and exemplary service coupled with a curated menu! Our service crew – Daryl was very attentive and considerate through the whole dining experience. His recommendations were palatable. He also took the effort to explain the sequence of the starters and mains to ensure we get to fully enjoy the distinct flavors. As we were celebrating a birthday, he took the extra mile to observe who it was and helped us to pull a surprise on her! It was really thoughtful of the crews to pass a hearty hand-written photo card to the birthday girl too! 101% would recommend and can’t wait to head back for more visits! My favorite was definitely the House Rolls and Rosemead that comes with the savory shitake cultured butter.

Erika Wong09:18 02/27/23
Had an amazing 3 course lunch here, loved the ambience and everything we were served from the shokupan to the aged burger to the desserts. Service by Daryl and Jason was wonderful too, so professional yet very personable. We would love to be back again.

Had a wonderful birthday lunch at Rosemead. All the dishes were well executed and tasty. The servers were attentive and friendly. Great service does enhance the dining experience. The bread was amazing - must order! 🙂

Rachel Luyi14:04 06/27/22
Beautiful deco but average food.Nothing in particular stood except my favourite dish, which is the 7 piece bun with butter and would definitely return just for that. A bit on the pricey side for bread but worth giving a try!

Chote Jindaratanacholkij04:19 04/28/22
Very cozy casual fine dinning vibe. We especially love the grilled lamb shoulder. It was very tender and tasty at the same time. A small complimentary cake since its our anniversary.

This is one of those dining experiences where one is so caught up with the beautiful ambiance and the wonderful food that you’d forget to even take pictures 😆 Everything looks so good that I ended up going for the tasting menu. It was totally worth it. The brioche, the beef, the dessert, the scallop, the grilled tomatoes, the pumpkin… it’s like a brilliantly orchestrated fireworks that kept exploding in my mouth and leaving me wanting more.

Stephanie Wong07:21 03/18/22
Came here with friends and we had a great experience!Every dish that we ordered were well executed and the flavours were quite surprising. Desserts and cocktails are also a must-try.

Odette has always been on my to-try list and this year I was treated to a birthday dinner here!An amazing French experience savoring the 7-course meal. We were totally impressed by the presentation as well as the flavour of each dish. Not to mention the excellent and attentive service by the crew! It was also nice of them to gift a bottle of strawberry jam for every guest. An unforgettable meal, or rather gourmet journey at this 3-starred michelin.

Alyssa Tran06:39 07/20/23
Such a beautiful place to celebrate a special occasion. Better to go during lunch so you can appreciate the natural light which really accentuates the lovely neutral pink and bright tones of the restaurant. Food is delicious as expected and of course staff always polite and friendly.

Eddie Lo04:40 07/07/23
Wonderful experience and every Act definitely all came with a wow factor. Had the wine pairing too, which I thought was a little expensive compared to the cost of the wine, but overall the pairing was done artfully. Favourite dish = pigeon

Odette is now (and will be for a very long time) my favourite restaurant in Singapore. The experience is unforgettable and the food exquisite and delicious. It is a must try and I will find any excuse to go back! This restaurant truly lives up to its Michelin 3-stars rating. My wife and I celebrated our wedding anniversary over lunch at Odette on Saturday, 22 April 2023. We opted for the Epicure menu (7 courses) [$488 per pax], and shared a wine pairing [$295 for each pairing]. From what we understood from the staff, each table is only allowed to select one of the two menu type. [Full lunch and dinner menus for April 2023 can be found in the photos]The dishes were innovative and delicious, crafted with the freshest and finest ingredients. We were pleasantly surprised at how basic and familiar ingredients (like the egg) could be transformed and elevated to such a level (like the signature Rosemary Smoked Organic Egg).We had the pleasure of being served by a team of dedicated service crew who took time to share with us the concept behind each dish. Special mention to:1) Sarah who remained attentive to our requests and made sure we were comfortable, and had everything we needed, throughout the 4-hour meal.2) Pastry chef Louisa (recently awarded Asia's Best Pastry Chef 2023) who served us our final dessert dish, and took time to share about her culinary journey. If you are looking for a world-class dining experience in Singapore or a place to celebrate a special occasion, Odette is definitely worth a visit!

You know a place is special when you still dream of their food after days, weeks and months.A Michelin 3 ⭐️ that’s worth every 5⭐️ on this review. Our experience was professionally service by Dan and Fabien, who were warm and friendly in their service.Chef Julien’s mushroom tea, scallop and lemon tarts are simply mind blowing and out of the world.A lifetime experience. 100% recommend

Luke Phang09:04 04/02/23
We visited Odette as part of our anniversary celebration and tried their Epicure 7-course menu at $488 per pax, along with 1 wine pairing at $295. The entire dining experience took close to 3 hours, and despite the steep price, I would say that the restaurant more than lives up to the hype. What I really liked about Odette is that it is more of a gastronomic affair rather than just a sit down meal to fill your stomach, with each dish curated and designed to give a different experience every time you take a bite off it. Aside from the items on the course, they also gave us starters that are outside the menu. We particularly liked the tea egg, which was delicious and totally a unique way to savour egg and tea.The ingredients used were fresh and top quality as well, though we did find it interesting that they source most of their ingredients from Japan, given that the restaurant is French-inspired. They have a few signature items, though, which are the organic egg and pigeon. A definite must try.Even though I went with the wine pairing, I didn't particularly enjoyed the process because each dish came with a wine. That meant 7 glass of wine by the end of the experience. Wine lovers may love it, but if you're not particularly fancy about alcohol, you may want to skip it as I got quite tipsy neat the end of it and was not able to enjoy the food as much. The wines are good though, just that it may be more suited for people who may appreciate. The seating space is also quite unique, in that it centres around the kitchen entrance, rather than scenery views. There's a main dining area plus a room extension, so make sure you get the main dining area when reserving to get the full experience. The restaurant also will try to ask you to top up for cheese or swap for an upgraded item, but your experience won't be marred if you decline.I would say that the restaurant is worth a visit for an extra special occasion, and the service is top notch. Loved it and highly recommended.

My first 3 Michelin star dining experience on my recent trip to Singapore. All I can say is wow on the food and service. It was wondering culinary experience and witness to some many different refined cooking and plating/presentation techniques. This is what fine dining is all about. The house made jam at the end was a nice surprise and I will savoury it with my morning toast while reminiscing my time at Odette. They start accepting reservations 60 days in advance but if dinner slots are full, I recommend booking for lunch. You can still experience the 7-course dinner menu or a lighter 5-course menu.Hope everyone enjoys Odette as much as I did.Odette If you find it hard to no

Janessa Tan12:20 10/21/22
We were blown away not only by the food but also the experience at Odette.Went for the classic menu with an additional seasonal supplement dish - each and every dish is meticulously plated and packed with unique burst of flavours paired with spectacular ingredients. The meal came along with a couple of teaser dishes apart from the course, which made the dining experience really interactive. We were attended by Leslie and her colleagues, whom made the meal enjoyable for us. Thank you for going the extra mile in helping to make the birthday celebration extremely wonderful and memorable. My fav’ was the succulent poached Scallop that melts in your mouth, followed by the savoury white truffle Ravioli - which melts in your mouth too.Would definitely be back again to try their seasonal menu!!

Nou Her14:42 03/16/22
This is the best restaurant experience I've had. Completely worth every penny. We left full and satisfied. My fav dish was the egg in the mushroom shaped cup. It was just egg. But wow, was it amazing. My fiance loved the beet root dish. For such a simple ingredient, we were treated to a world of beet and its uses. Amaze balls! We enjoyed everything. So much so that, even though we were getting full, we opted in for the cheese spread and was not disappointed. The staff were great, funny, and didn't judge us when we asked to keep the bread and leftover sauce.I would definitely come back and spend another grand or so. I sometimes think of Odette and it lifts my spirit.

Kit W15:48 02/22/22
I’ve always been a firm believer that the devil is in the details and I honestly can’t name one (even small) thing wrong about Odette.Where we sat was right in front of their transparent kitchen which gives you a wonderful unencumbered view of the gorgeous dining room and bar (hints of Art Deco design and very soothing). The dishes were all on point, with enough creativity, and without being overboard. Each course followed a cohesive rhythm especially together with the wine pairing. This isn’t an overly heavy meal despite some wholesome / rich ingredients.Service? I cannot say anything other the staff here are among the best anywhere. We would like to give a special thanks to Sarah who was our star for the night! Thank you for your extra consideration.Great job Odette for a truly great gourmet experience on a very special day - Tuesday, 2/22/2022.

Karen K04:37 01/20/22
Superb service and food. The servers were all so knowledgeable about each dish, and also they really try their best to cater to dietary restrictions (we have someone pregnant and someone who can’t take lactose) by replacing the dishes with something else. Presentation of food is on point. It’s seriously a super filling meal and great experience. We had the $378++ indulgence menu, and added the $128++ lobster ravioli.

Taste is well orchestrated by the lobster bisque , uni and caviar all stood out very nicely on the tongue .Altamura bread ! Super tasting while fluffy .

Braci caught us by surprised with it's impressive dessert and mains. The pasta and beef was well prepared with sufficient flavours without feeling too heavy for lunch. The dessert was mind-blowing, especially the last finish with the tiramisu tart and good smokey coffee. Brings fireworks to the taste bud for sure!

All photos shown below are uneditted photos, it just reflects on the true beauty and art of the Chef’s skills.I went there for my hubby’s birthday.we had a very personalised serviced by Service staffs.Despite the place are abit small, it provides the cozy and intimate feel which allows you to easily interact with the Staffs.Good service provided by the Staffs there. Not only the service is good, the food served in the degustation sized which you to try variety type of their creations.i would say one of the Best Lamb skin i tried also. i dont really eat Lamb, i assured there is no weird smells from the Lamb. it is even fine for people who doesnt consume lamb like me.Desserts are great too!! Not too Sweet!

The building is taller than most other shops in the area so you get a nicer view. The chef certainly has some very good techniques. The pasta dish with intense Parmesan flavor, the super tender fish and different chocolate dessert are sublime. You can taste the flavor of the fresh ingredients, without loads of spice and flavoring muddling the water.Even in a restaurant which has a Michelin star it's probably too much to expect every dish to blow your mind. Other than the 3 dishes I mentioned, the rest are just nice or even ordinary in taste. The overall experience, however, is too Singaporean gimmick laden service. It's all too common for some waiter in a restaurant to tell me a long lofty story about the chef, the ingredients and the awards it won, and blah. I for one loathe this type of mind tricks.Good food should be able to speak for themselves, without the story, the gimmick and FOMO inducing mind game.I wish the restaurant can give customers an option to skip that nonsense.

This is a 2 Michelin star dining experience. While it is definitely a pricey meal, some of the best fine dining I’ve had was here. The only qualm I have is that it was slightly tough to understand the waiters when they were explaining our dishes because of accents etc but we managed to understand eventually! The dishes themselves were all made with the highest ingredients and presented in such an impeccable manner. All of the dishes were balanced and portioned incredibly well and had exquisite components. It’s an upmarket experience for sure but if you’re into this kind of thing then you have to pay a visit. All in all for fine dining Italian you really can’t go wrong here. Just be prepared to pay for it that’s all! Wonderful experience.

Becky00:55 12/04/22
We set at the rooftop and thankfully it didn’t rain. Service was impeccable and everything we ate was explained to us. Food was really delicious and creative. The chef definitely likes to pair Japanese flavours with Italian creating a wonderful fusion. I can see why they have a Michelin star. I had a lovely time spending my birthday dinner here.Cons: I got quite full after the pasta course and didn’t know that diners were allowed to go for walks to digest their food. I would have done the same. But it’s ok as everything was delicious. Not quite a con but definitely something to take note of.

Chris15:49 11/14/22
Went to Braci for anniversary set lunch. Food was lovely and yummy especially the venison and pasta, open kitchen, staff took time to explain the food served to us. Great service. Small cozy place. My husband was seated with his back near to the grill/ oven so he felt the heat on his back everytime it was opened. Will still go back, maybe next time we will get our seats slightly further away from the grill/ oven 🙂

Janice Mok15:01 08/22/22
Food was good - above average and there were clear Italian influences such as the olive oil with bread and ending off with the aged balsamic vinegar. Overall a good meal, but I sat indoors in the open kitchen concept and the ambience was kind of off for me. Enjoyed the wine recommended by the staff and there was a clear explanation for each dish served. Would recommend going for the supplement of the uni and caviar with the pasta as it was one of my favourite dishes of the night.

Sel L16:33 07/17/22
Wow, just wow.One of the best meals I’ve had in a long time and really appreciate all the thought put into each course.Everything was good, I urge you to go try it yourself. This was really one of those rare meals which I felt the passion and sincerity of the chef through the food.Bread was served fresh and warm, with olive oil and it was so so good. The waiters were lovely, they kept checking if we wanted more bread.I am so glad I came and I will definitely be back for more.

Marc Woo06:45 04/02/22
A delightful meal served via an unorthodox Italian methodology.I don't recall a time when I was not stuffed after patronising a great Italian joint. Braci was an exception, for good reasons. I was held back by my dinner companion from going the full distance. We ordered the 5 course instead of the 7. But it came with plenty of in betweens that made the dinner special. The chef did a lot of justice to the seasonal ingredient. Almost all the dishes were mind blowing and the one that stood out the most was the ice cream pate with kumquat jam. Very memorable. I'll let the pictures do the rest of the food talking. The service is attentive. The big bonus of the night was the nice cool weather which made our outdoor seating extra pleasant.5 stars!!

Attended best friend's wedding here, which is really cosy.Food was delicious 😋 Service from the crew was awesome too! All instructions for the wedding arrangement were followed to the "P" for perfect!Only thing negative was entrance is within Museum where there's too much Museum visitors poking nose to KPO 😆

Came here to celebrate my wife's birthday, with high expectations, given the awesome reviews. First impression was good - ambience was bright and spacious, with high ceilings and classy decor. Service was attentive, but I felt it was a bit impersonal and lacked a certain warmth. Nevertheless, we got everything we needed, and staff did all the necessary for a fine dining restaurant such as pulling our seats back and forward as we sat down. So far, so good. We ordered 2 executive set lunches, and I opted to top up $18 for the Wagyu rump. We selected the carpaccio and truffle mushroom soup for starters. The carpaccio was very thinly sliced and not bad, but the mushroom soup lacked oomph, and I couldn't taste much truffle. I've had heartier mushroom soups at buffet lines, so not a good start food wise. For the mains, we had the farro risotto, and I got the Wagyu rump...which was quite a mistake because despite paying an extra $18, I got a slab of beef that was perhaps 150 to 180g tops, which I couldn't tell was Wagyu, as it lacked any discernible marbling, and was even a tad powdery. My wife enjoyed her risotto much more, but I wasn't a fan either. By then I was quite disappointed with the food, and the dessert didn't do much to redeem the meal. The entire meal came up to be about $150, and for that price, I could go to many places for a better meal - perhaps not as good as ambience nor service, but to me, food quality is the most important metric.

Joyce Lim14:40 07/18/23
Fantastic ambience, not crowded on Thursday lunch, very bright and spacious area. Sgd55++ for 3 course meal, complimentary water and bread served, beef carpaccio was great, mushroom soup was meh. Wagyu rump was powdery and tasteless, farro risotto was not bad but didn't quite satiate, taste was one dimensional. Chocolate popsicle and croissant cheesecake were passable, looked great but taste was average. 5 stars for ambience, 4 stars for service, 3 stars for taste of food. Paying for the surrounds rather than a tasty meal. Parking at national museum itself, gantry is always problematic. Don't think we'll be back anytime soon.

Wen Huang13:57 07/16/23
Aside from the well-worth it executive lunch, Flutes gets a 5-star for its service and friendly staff, creating a very welcoming environment for the family after a morning of dragging the boys through various museum exhibits. We ended up with 4 set meals that everyone enjoyed (including our two fussy eaters), and left ready to take on the second half of the day with renewed energy.I’ll be keeping Flutes on my list of places to bring more discerning guests to in the future.

Decided to have a fancy birthday dinner and chanced upon this restaurant online. The service, ambience and food were spot on from start til end.Price point was fairly decent as well for the quality of food.Special shout out to our server, Bing that was very attentive but also gave us our privacy throughout the dinner.Would definitely return at some point to try their different menu.

Christine14:50 11/18/22
Wonderful experience beyond my expectation. Walk in during lunch time without reservation, it was really a surprise to found out plenty of available seats. The wagyu was perfect, very tender and zero burden of chewing, decorated with pickles balanced the meat quite well. The soup of day was not that satisfying compared to main course. Crab may not be a good choice for soup, as it seems create bitter taste.Butter pudding with grapes is worth to try, ice cream was very delicious, and the wine within it refresh all kinds of sweet. The service is fine generally. Space to improve is the staff can try to slow down their rhythm and pay more attention to details, suits the quiet and comforting environment better.

Awesome Wedding Lunch supported by Flutes team and Joanne for being patient and accommodating with us since Feb 2022.Besides me, my wife also fell in love with the decor and knew on the first visit this will be our wedding lunch venue.Actual day went smoothly and Guests were praising the food choices.Fantastic choice for intimate and limited number of Guests.

Beautiful restaurant with good food. Their bread and garlic butter was really tasty. The progression of taste was impressive and plating was pretty. I especially liked the snacks and starters. The fried foie gras was super tasty too. Highly recommend it for a special dinner with a special someone.

Alex Issokson11:34 07/17/22
I had a great lunch here! I did the 2-course selection and ordered steak frites and a chocolate dessert. The steak and fries were really great! The caramelized onions and sauce were a good combination and the fries were perfectly done. The salad was too acidic though. The reason for the 4/5 stars is the dessert was only okay. I thought it was too chalky and wanted something softer and sweeter.

Reuben Cheng08:24 05/23/22
We had a wonderful dinner at Flutes 😀 the restaurant is small, but the space between tables are comfortable and the decor is simple but nice. The service from all the staff were fantastic, showering us with details of the the food and drinks they served and paying attention to what we need. The food was marvellous..visually captivating and delicious. Must try!

It’s the hubs birthday so: goodbye, wallet! It’s always tough searching for a place that can impress him. This place was perfect. Location aside, the experience was great. Every omakase dish was exceptional, even the bread! Well, not White Grass standard, but I can still recall the otah bread!Service wise, I’ve to say that I don’t mind being treated lesser, but I’ve to rate it according to the price point. Every dish was served, rushed. I’m not very sure what’s the rush, but the flow was very much hurried. There was a point when the hubs was talking excitedly and hence took longer with his course, and the waiter came by twice — in a matter of seconds — to check if he could take his plate away. The hubs obliged even though he wanted to finish his course but he was of course, hurried. It’s a bit oxymoronic given that this place is nestled in the midst of zen. Perhaps the waiter just wanted to go home.

Excellent French-Asian fusion fixed menu with local nuances. The beautiful venue provides a wonderful setting for after meal strolls. Certain furniture and walls are showing a little wear. Background music could be upgraded.

Amazing Omakase and views of Botanic Gardens. Fusion food with a twist. Our waiter Jeffrey was very accommodating and proactive in helping us with photos and making the whole experience memorable. Highly recommend.

I have been coming here for birthday celebration for past 2 years. While the food quality is great, the service standard has dropped substantially. We were seated at Whispering corner today. The appearance of the person who served us food could be improved. His hair was greasy & his finger nails were long & unclean. Its not acceptable especially he is serving food & this is a fine dining restaurant. The loud talking from the other table of the other corner spoiled the ambience. We felt like we were dining at a food center. Won't be coming back anymore

It’s my second time here. The first time was when my husband proposed to me and now we went back to celebrate our first wedding anniversary. This time we tried their dinner course. I must say the food is really good and unique. The presentation is lovely with the story description cards. Service is excellent as always. It’s a wonderful experience to dine in here.

This place is a gem inside of another gem (Botanic Gardens).Food is great and originalThe French Chef originating from Bordeaux is writing down on a small card how his inspiration has come for each dish of the surprise menu, which adds a personal touch that makes you enjoy the dish from another angle.Cosy surroundings in an authentic colonial building. Very nice view when you are sitting on the balcony.Service is very attentive, don’t hesitate to ask to “slow down” to enjoy to the fullest. All in all highly recommended.

I came here with a friend for lunch the other day. The restaurant is tucked away inside the Botanic Gardens and is an easy walk from Nassim Gate. They also offer buggy service. We enjoyed the atmosphere inside the restaurant, and it was pleasant despite the rain outside. We both had the five course tasting menu. Generally, everything was quite tasty, and the presentation was lovely. Probably the only dish we didn’t really care for was the chawanmushi, as it was noticeably salty. Otherwise, everything was good. Service was likewise good but not exceptional. Overall, it was an enjoyable experience and the food was well above average. I give it four stars instead of five because I feel that the value proposition could have been better. It’s really quite an expensive meal for what you get.

Vincent T02:54 02/19/22
Absolutely fantastic experience. Dishes follow a perfectly mastered progression/storyline, everything is delicate, precise and detailed. Mix of tastes develop in your mouth and gives this fine dining satisfaction level! Service was excellent and the chef came to have a quick chat. A really brilliant chef. The place is great too though the carpentry would require a bit more care.Overall an awesome time and we’ll be sure to come back!

c l s04:36 02/16/22
The set menu selected by the Michelin restaurant is OK and the exquisite meal is delicious. We are absolutely sure that the chefs' dedication to the food can be curvilinear.⭐️But the service did not feel any temperature and did not interact with the guests at all. This is a pity! Even sending a birthday cake to your guests is zero interaction. We personally feel a bit like robot restaurant。In addition to delicious food, service is also an important part of a restaurant. The interaction between people is also a plus point for the food. The restaurant is almost devoid of decorations not even tablecloths. There is also a problem with the overall aesthetics. It doesn't make me feel like a fancy restaurant.Food wise I would recommend! But I probably won't come back to this restaurant again.Delicious restaurants abound. What is the element that attracts guests to come back? It's people and restaurant atmosphere.

Superb experience, top quality food. There's not really much to say, the food speaks for it self. Many layers of flavors, plenty of depth. it was a very good dining experience, with an excellent view. You won't regret it!

Loved my experience at Jaan. Amazing and kind service together with wonderful food. They can and will explain anything about your dish to the ingredients used.Sommelier was very kind in suggesting other options of wine if we didn’t like the original pairing.all together: 10/10Only side note : we didn’t find the entrance so quickly but everyone in the hotel/mall was happy to guide us the correct way.

Visited the newly renovated Jaan a few months back and was mightily impressed with not only the new and improved space, but also the way the food has been elevated. When my partner and I first visited Jaan we were blown away by the extraordinary take on British cuisine. However, after revisiting the restaurant following its refurbishment, we were awestruck at how Chef Kirk and his team managed to elevate the already stunning dishes even more. While the menu did not change much from our last visit (excepting changes in the dessert options, palette cleanser, as well as the addition of the sweet onion pie), the old dishes were elevated to greater heights. Scallop was substituted for obsiblue prawns on the sea bass course, which made for a smoother bite with the fish itself. A more generous portion was provided for the Guinea fowl, this time stuffed with sausage as well as the Guinea leg. Where previously the game meat was presented with a slightly underwhelming herb-crusted potato, Chef Kirk opted to pair it with an elegant truffle and artichoke pie this go around. The sweetness of the artichoke helped balance out the slight saltiness of the guinea meat. Overall, it was a thoroughly enjoyable lunch date perfected by the excellent and graceful service provided by our server, Terry. We are looking forward to returning again and would highly recommend Jaan.

Well executed modern English menu. Lunch presents slightly better value than dinner. Lovely plating, excellent flavours. Come for special occasions and enjoy the attentive service

Eye2kay08:19 07/26/22
This might be just another mundane review of my fine dining experience but wait there’s a reason why Jaan still retains its 2 Michelin stars and long waiting list to get table. Food presentation for fine dining is easy to emulate everywhere however taste is the ultimate driving force and Chef Kirk is winning in this expertise.I find that English chef is adventurous in creating their dishes and there is something that always surprises you on every meals.Tbh didn’t discover much English chef in Singapore so far only 3 and they all are amazing. Chef Kirk was one of them.

Tiffany Ho14:11 07/15/22
It was definitely surreal to be here in Jaan a couple months ago for a birthday celebration. View was spectacular and it definitely brought out great ambiance.Every dish that was brought out, brings high expectations for the next dish and my favorite was the chicken. I did not understand the taste of beetroot and caviar and found it overly fancy. The wine pairings were amazing and well thought out. It brings the whole experience together and definitely made each dish taste better.I must say I found the palette cleanser really refreshing and amazing. The technique for the desserts were nothing short of amazing as well. Will definitely come back for dinners in the future.

Joy KC08:11 03/17/22
Excellent food and experience, truly deserving of the two Michelin stars. Appetisers were a nice demonstration of the nuances of flavours. White asparagus and caviar blended nicely. Cornish seabass had a lovely rich feel, and the Welsh lamb was a fantastic mix of flavours that came together so well. The dessert was lovely, enjoyed the conference pear. Service was warm and friendly, with good views of the skyline. Only grouse was the music was a little too loud.

Malcolm Koh09:48 03/15/22
Evolved Elegance. Respect for the ingredients with a nuanced style. i adored the cuisine and total experience at Jaan and this talented chef. One feedback, arriving prior to the restaurant is disappointing, you have to walk through a mall and outside to arrive and the vendor check at the "welcome" (not). it is some "student" who is juggling delivery rider and really not very unhelpful. Truly not a 2 star experience. (I hope they try fix this). the valet (they used to have) could "shortcut" this process and the driveway has space. On to the good stuff. Great dishes, beautifully presented. Favorites for me, the white asparagus caviar, roasted Langoustine. Most things paired beautifully with a nice champagne. Love a little, enjoy the view over some exquisite bubbles and cuisine. Kirk and team will take really good care of you. once you are upstairs. I even thought an "auntie" who i ran into on my way down was very friendly and engaging. I was so impressed.

David Ludwig02:04 01/04/22
We had a very nice dinner at Jaan. We thought the chef hit all the right notes and delivered an inventive menu based on classic flavors. The wine pairing was very good and sported some very unique wines which we enjoyed alot. For us this is the best experience in a Asia top 50 restaurant in Singapore so far, even though it is ranked lower than others. What stood out to us is that every course was excellent, high quality ingredients and flawless execution. Other restaurants add or switch ingredients for the sake of sounding original but with a net negative impact on the dish and we were very pleased that there has been none of that in Jaan.At the same time we were impressed by the black truffle ice cream which demonstrated how to innovate flavor combinations where it makes sense and produces a high quality result.

If I could give a 6 stars rating here… I would definitely. I love the food and experience provided by Chef Ivan.Fantastic dinner. Staff super friendly, experienced and well trained.Excellent Wine list.

A very solid fine dining restaurant. Ambience and atmosphere is good and the staff there are extremely friendly and enthusiastic to serve good food. The quality of the food is excellent as well. Toilet is clean and portion is pretty good for a fine dining(was not hungry or too stuffed after eating). My only complaint is the price point. It was pretty expensive if you ask me. Otherwise, it’s a very good restaurant to visit to celebrate special occasions as the staff there will definitely make you feel special.

Nice restaurant with a more casual vibe for lunch. Interesting array of Asian flavours. Thankful for Ivan to take the time to come around, introduce himself and explain the origin behind some of these dishes and to answer some questions more than once.

Lovely lunch at Nouri! Everything is on spot, the plating is amazing as well as the taste. Every dish is seasoned so well and to perfection. I am not a dessert person but the cake is so delicious! I will strongly recommend people to try this place at least once.

Had a fantastic experience at Nouri. I would recommend everyone to try it. Pictures just don’t do it justice. Service was excellent. Some of the best we’ve had. Although it is a very exquisite experience, service didn’t feel pretentious and they were very sincere in explaining the culinary team’s choices. One of us even had dietary request and the culinary team really put in so much effort to make her feel welcomed. I’ve had other Michelin-winners send me a “take it or leave it” when I made the same request. Worth every dollar for such a special night out.

This was a perfect dining experience. We have been to several three star Michelin restaurants and two stars as well and we enjoyed Nouri just as much if not better than the other restaurants. The food was impeccably prepared and had a wonderful balance of flavour, depth and also creativity. We enjoyed the tour around the world and the use of novel ingredients. The staff and team at Nouri were also friendly, kind and inviting and this was a refreshing environment to have and enjoy with our friends and family. We will definitely be back again and thank you again to the team at Nouri.Favorite dishes were the wagu beef, turbot fish and also desert with Champagne. Raviolis in consume was also a hit.

Had a wonderful catchup with friends during lunch time here. I could see much thoughts put into the menu design, table setting and choices of cutlery. Highly recommend the scallop, the strawberry/tomato salad and the beetroot dessert. Only the lobster dish was a miss to me. Will definitely return in the future.

Had dinner at Nouri. Food was great here! It was quite a culinary journey as the chef prepared and introduced to us food from all over the world. Not common expensive food, but from remote lesser know places of the world. The pigeon was definitely the star dish here.Service was wonderful as they tried to accommodate my wife’s food allergy at the last minute.

This is probably my favorite restaurant in Singapore for local and Peranakan dishes. I love to bring friends from overseas here.My favorite dishes are dry laksa, gado gado, chicken curry, beef redang, and sambal eggplant. The dessert, Coconut Delight, is surprisingly refreshing and perfect to end a satisfying meal.

Celebrated my wedding anniversary here, and the staff went out of their way to make it special.Had the beef cheek, which was nice and soft, melts in your mouth. Also had the garam assam fish and brinjal.Washed it down with 2 cocktails, and for dessert, we had the coconut pudding.Lovely experience. Will visit their other outlets to try it out as well.

Decor is absolutely lovely and full of traditional Peranakan displays. A definite good place to have a business lunch or to bring first-time visitors to the National Gallery.Dishes are not the best Peranakan standard, but good enough for those who enjoy milder spices and flavouring. Especially enjoyed the pong tauhu soup which is served individually and the nyonya chap chye which is lightly cooked. Oddly, there is Indonesian gado-gado as well.Parking is ample in the gallery carpark. However, the turning into the basement carpark entrance can be tricky if you do not look out for the signage.

We called the day of and got a reservation for 1:30PM and we felt so lucky because this place came highly recommended.Located in the National Gallery, it is a quaint and beautiful restaurant full of charm. The staff is friendly and most of the people dining were dressed up a bit, smart casual and cute dresses - clearly a place people like to take photos of themselves, the food and the ambiance. We ordered the Singapore Island Iced Tea which tastes more like an iced coffee than a tea, but refreshing nonetheless. They also have a complete plant based menu which had delicious options for vegans! The Kuay Pie Tee was delicious and interesting. We also had the King Oyster Mushroom dish and the Cod dish, both were perfect portions and very flavorful. For dessert we got the date pudding and the pulot dish, again beautiful, flavorful, and satisfying. We are so glad we got to experience this delicious and beautiful restaurant

Place doesn't live up to its reputation and I cannot recommend it further due to the low value for money.Starter soup was surprisingly boring in taste. The dry Laksa (their signature dish according to the waiter) had good noodles and prawns, but the sauce itself was unfortunately very unbalanced in flavour and too salty. I had expected a more sophisticated flavouring of the dish, which would nicely complement the taste of the other ingredients.Nice interior but indeed very loud inside.

I had the opportunity to visit this famous restaurant and thanks to my friend who made a difficult reservation. The staff were really friendly and gave detailed explanations about the menu, so there was no difficulty in ordering. The atmosphere of the restaurant was elegant and refined, with a slightly classic style that added to the overall sophistication. The price was also not as expensive as I thought, and it was nice to take a leisurely walk in the nearby park after the dinner.

Home-cooked traditional Peranakan food that satisfies locals and foreigners alike! I had some guests from overseas and wanted to let them experience Peranakan food in a nice setting. I was recommended National Kitchen, and it was such a good choice. The restaurant interior was stunning with a very classic design that was brought to life with Peranakan elements. The food was authentic and delicious, but portions were tiny. Lunch for our party of three, with ice water and three coffees with dessert worked out to almost $300. Overall, it's a fantastic location to entertain, but you can easily enjoy Peranakan food of that quality, or better, at less than half the price elsewhere.

Had an amazing time with friends there. We ordered some of their best dishes. Unfortunately, the hainanese chicken rice was not available. Overall the food we order we great and we would go back for more. The ambiance and interior was stunning. The service and staff were really great. After the meal they checked on us and had a chat with us. I do not get to see this kind of service often which is great! I would definitely comeback here for another round!

Love the menu, peranakan food and culture inspired and the decoration of the restaurant is unique.. definitely a great dinning experience. Order the satay for starter, then follow by a few main course for sharing.Great for great dinning and also small group, individual who want to enjoy alone moment can order a glass of wine and sit on the bar table facing the road overseeing the field.

Exceptional dining experience in the most unique setting. Trusting our lovely in restaurant guide Margaret and her wonderfully attentive colleagues, we enjoyed every single bite. The charming ambiance, coupled with the tastes and aromas so thoughtfully curated for our meal were top notch. Can’t wait to come by again on our next layover!

Vintage interior reminds me of the golden years back then. Professional service, however portion is slightly small with the pricing charged. Ambience is absolute, beverages pricing too slight above average. Great quality food and presentation. First time visit, might not back for the second time.Would probably try their high tea tho!
