You step into the shop, which houses some of the cutest gifts, jewelry, clothes, Scranton items, candles, men's items, skin care products, everything, and anything you could imagine for your home and SO MUCH MORE!!! It is the perfect space to walk through IF, by chance, your stylist or technician is running a few minutes behind (which seldom happens anyway), you are sure to find something to bring home!I am lucky enough to have found my esthetician, Sarah. Over these past few years, between the routine we have developed, my skin has thanked me in so many ways. And for that, I thank Sarah and Lavish. She went as far as to say "if you want someone that looks like you to do your hair..". I went into this salon because it was recommended by another stylist and had good reviews. I hadn't seen anything mentioned about race or skin color but after my visit , I canceled my appointment and won't be going back. It doesn't matter what I look like, you either can do the job or can't and to be made to feel bad because I looked different is obscenely rude and uncalled for. I am a 24 yr old mixed woman. I grew up in this area and was excited to finally find an establishment trained in curly hair. If I knew my skin color was going to be mentioned or brought up, I wouldnt have stepped foot in this place to begin with. She made me feel so welcome in this gorgeous and spacious studio space.The studio is tucked away in an almost hidden location, but it is definitely a gem. It has gorgeous views on the balcony/outdoor waiting area, and plenty of amenities. It exemplifies brilliant interior design, while also being clean and fresh. It was one of my favorite salon experiences and I already have an appointment to come back!
