Adriana G16:39 06/14/23I rarely leave reviews let alone negative ones, but this was honestly one of the worst waking experiences I’ve ever had.1. The bathroom was not well-equipped. I wanted to wash up before getting my Brazilian, but the dispenser for feminine wash was empty so they left a bottle of Ph care in the bathroom. This is forgivable but I cannot help but acknowledge that this is so unsanitary for all the clients to be handling the same bottle while washing intimate parts. The grout in the bathroom was also black and dirty which didn’t give an impression of cleanliness.2. The staff were u professional. They are very nice and accommodating, but the staff outside of my waxing room were talking so loudly about personal matters in a group and I could hear them very clearly throughout my session. The staff member assigned to me was wearing a hoodie with the hood pulled up, which made me feel like I was being waxed by a random person rather than a trained professional. This lack of a professional atmosphere made me feel uncomfortable—that is a big no-no when in a setting where clients will be in a vulnerable state such as getting intimate parts waxed.3. The waxing was horrific. Not only did my waxer get me covered in honey, she also made me hold taut certain parts of my body that were ALSO covered in honey which left me very very sticky and uncomfortable. The reason I’m paying someone to do the waxing for me is because I wanted to avoid that mess and discomfort. I ended up with honey all over me and then was left to clean it all up myself with some baby wipes.I’m not gonna go too far into detail regarding what happened during the wax itself, but let me just say that the execution was terrible, needlessly painful, and very very amateur. It unfortunately shows in the result as I can visibly see large patches of hair still on me.I felt so bad during this session that I was supposed to have my legs waxed after but just cancelled the rest of the service and wanted to go home.Overall this was a very bad experience and I really wish for barenaked glorietta 5 to improve. Believe it or not I used to be a regular but hadn’t gone for a few years. Needless to say that will be the last time I’ll ever avail of barenaked’s services. I wanted to trim my bangs and ends to be straighter, as well as fix the parts of my hair framing my face. I admittedly stumbled over my own words a lot when telling her what I wanted, but she was nonetheless patient and attentive in answering my questions and making sure I knew what she was going to do to my hair. She reccomended a few different styles and options given my general preferences, and followed through flawlessly. Before, I was so nervous about being outside because of my hair, but by the time our appointment ended I felt so much more confident and happy.The establishment itself is very well kept. It's nice and spacious and clean. The additional staff are also very kind, welcoming, and frequently ask questions to make sure you're having a good experience. Everyone who works here is ready and willing to help with whatever you may need.I visit Philippines once a year, and am returning to the U.S. soon, but this place is making me wish I could stay for longer. It seems that Saturdays, Sundays, and holidays are quite crowded. As of December 2016, only the cut was 340php. Start cutting without shampooing. Of course, the hairdresser is a Filipino, and I was relieved that she handled it like a Japanese hairdresser, but the finish was so-so. She gave me a beautiful blow and finished it. The children were very happy because they showed animation while cutting.
