The receptionist on this other nail salon forgot to secure our slot even after paying the reservation fee the day before.My friend luckily got in touch with Paint and Brew and asked if we can do a walk in appointment. They accomodated us last minute. They are already doing their last customer that day but we were told, if we can get to their place in 10minutes they can still accomodate us. Earlier, when I came to this Spaholics branch, my mother said that I spoke English amongst casual conversation, but I can understand Tagalog, and speak Tagalog fluently. Later on, when I sat down to have my mani-pedi done, I over-heard the manager, and other staff calling my mother 'bipolar' over the fact that she had only changed her mind. I assume that since my mother said I spoke English, they had established an opinion that I didn't understand Tagalog. Furthermore, the staff were whispering and talking in low-voices and looking at me in a corner of the room, it was extremely rude and I'm genuinely shocked that a salon with a good reputation has left me with this experience. I left the salon with uneven layers of polish on my nails, making it look tacky and LAZILY DONE. To add a cherry on top, I went to a wellness spa the next day, got a foot massage, and the masseur asked me if I did my nails. I said that I had a mani-pedi done yesterday and she said that whoever did it did a terrible job. This is borderline taking advantage of people who look like they can't understand or speak Tagalog, aka tourists.
