Santorini Feels 🇬🇷We went here for lunch to experience Greece in North of the Philippines. The place was colored in white and blue just like the famous Santorini.We ordered food that we just discovered here such as Saganaki Cheese (fried cheese stick), and Baklava. The food is okay. I like the Souvlaki Platter with the white sauce. Overall, it is a good place to visit in La Union.

They win the best-in-town souvlaka competition by being the only one in town serving souvlaka. If another restaurant does decide to serve the dish, they're gonna have a tough time beating this one.The lamb is soft and flavorful. The bread is a bit chewy but light. The garlic hummus and spicy dip, perfect for the light and flaky fries. Not too salty, perfectly seasoned.The iced tea is iced tea.I hate cinnamon, so I wasn't able to finish their baklava. Otherwise, it's really tasty.The flavors aren't the most kid friendly. It's very strong but not offensively so and it doesn't linger on your tongue.Wait staff are friendly and accommodating.would come back.

We went out to there for lunch and the place was not crowded. We were a group of 5 and the bench seats easily accomodated us.What I really like are the Gefesis Roast Lamb and Seafood Chowder Soup. I like their Moussaka the least.I really wouldn't call their price range worth it, but it really has to do with their prime location in San Juan, La Union. The meals are delicious, but I wouldn't recommend eating here often if you're on a tight budget.

Place and food is okay. Just expected too much because of the price range since we really can't say that food here is affordable. Just a bit disappointed with the steak, it's hard to chew. But I really liked their Souvlaki. Place is too quiet, maybe add some music just to lighten up the mood. Love the staff.

Did not meet my expectation.First, the staff are not so accommodating. We need to ask for extra tissues/table napkins, they only provide 1 sheet each customer initially.Second, food service was slow. 1 order was served late. We already finished our meals and 1 of us did not eat yet because its not yet ready.The ambiance was just ok.

Gefseis is one of those restaurants that seem pretty ordinary but in actuality, serve good food that fit in so nicely with La Union's casual vibe. Special mention to the juicy lambchops!

Really cheap, but really good food. This can be found across the famous 7-eleven of San Juan. You should definitely dine here when you go to La Union. There aren't a lot of seats, so visit around late afternoon.

Ate here twice enjoyed the laid back vibes & hole in the wall (literally) feels, we enjoyed some of the food, some food is a bit bland good thing they have condiments ready but the 2nd time we dined they ran out of calamansi.

One of the known food stops in the area, if you can't find this just ask any local. It does have a small menu (mostly Filipino cuisine) with affordable rates --just perfect for your budget. It's dining place isn't that spacious though, just a quaint small space in the side walk. Tourists still come not only to eat but for the vibe as the place is instagram worthy.Ps. I love their donation project. Please support it!

We loved the food but be warned that there aren't a lot of tables here. We decided to take our food to the hotel instead and paid additional 10 pesos for the take out box. Afdordable and delicious. I had parez and it didn't disappoint. I would love to come back again to try their besy seller bagnet.

Every year I celebrated my birthday out of town, this year (January 28, 2022) I went to Urbiztondo, San Juan La Union, for me to experience - their beaches, night life and foods. This food restaurant is included on my list, I'm so excited to eat here in Tagpuan sa San Juan, Lugaw (Porridge) is my favorite food, I ordered, Lugaw and Tokwa and egg, the food is so delicious, the service is good too, that time my phone is 0 percent I know that it is not possible to charge my phone there since it is not allowed as one of the staff advised me, I ask again and tell that I will pay for it, She allowed me to charge my phone and there's no fee! I'm so thankful for that since that place is our last stop and we will go back to Manila.The location is good for picture but I advise you to put mosquito lotion in your skin since there's a lot of mosquito here, I don't know if this is always, we went there at 4pm. Be ready to line up for order taking since they have a lot customers.limited space for customer's, anyway even if the queue is long the waiting time is worth it because of the food.

One of the few places that was open during our stay in Elyu (I think most are closed after new year). Perfect place to get your quick breakfast/brunch fix! Dishes were simple and straightforward. We had bagnet and pares and they weren’t bad for the price! Place is a bit small so tables get full during peak hours.

📌 @tagpuansj San Juan, La Union⭐️ 3.5 / 5🚨 Tagpuan has been a staple in Elyu for so many years but a few things I wish has changed over the years: 1. SEATING - @tagpuansj pls fix your seating so that many people could dine comfortably 2. MENU - as you could see on the pics, @tagpuansj has changed its prices many times over, covering the prices over and over with pieces of paper makes the menu and the facade feels tacky / tasteless … little things like this (maintenance of the place) should have been on tip top shape ~ food is okay and very affordable ~ still worth visiting if you’re here & if comfortability is not an issue for you 😉💰Check pics for menu prices🐶 Elyu is overall a pet friendly beach place ✅

The Bagnet and Pares were okay. It was good but there's nothing really special in regards to taste. It's also affordable so it can be a good meal for those who are on a budget if you are in Elyu.Only common problem I have in La Union are the flies. They are literally everywhere so you have to make sure they don't land on your food when eating out.

Cheap quick eats appropriate to fill the stomach for a night out at La Union. Generous servings of rice but the meat portions were a little small. Crispy bagnet and rice was Php140, not bad for a cheaper alternative to the higher end restos around the area.

A great place for local (traditional) Filipino food. Plus if you give them an extra 50php they will feed someone in need. I thought this was very nice of them. The service is fast and the people are friendly. Smaller portions, but very reasonable priced. Think small meal or snack if you are a foreigner. If you’re a foreigner with a Filipina GF… take her here… she will love it!!

All served foods were good. Too bad for us, there's a cut off. We have not fully enjoyed the place. So, if you plan to eat here, especially for dinner, come as early as 6pm to have a taste from each store.

We highly recommend Big Servings! Literal big servings! We had big bowls of dinakdakan and pork tofu which were all a delight. You can buy drinks (both alc/non-alc) in the center stall. Best thing in this place is that all the electric fans are working!

Tourists and friend groups would love it here. The food stalls have good variety from seafood to grilled meat to all day breakfast. We ordered from 4 different kiosks and their serving time took 10 minutes maximum. It's acceptable considering it was a busy saturday night. It's not the best food in town but I don't think you go here for the taste/dining experience. You go here to chill and chat and get buzzed. Prices are affordable if you're a tourist and you're used to urbiztondo prices. But locally it's about 30% more expensive than usual. What I loved here was their live music and friendly staff. However, there's a lot of room for improvement.Cons: 1- Not much choices for dessert/meryenda. 2- I understand it's an outdoor drinking place but there's so many cigarette smokers on different tables and it ruined the chill atmosphere for me. 3- Smoking is NOT prohibited in this place and I take that personally because I'm asthmatic. 4- There should be a warning to bring your inhaler before you enter and order. 5- After eating here, I pray I don't get covid from all the packed tables and people not wearing masks. 6- Their bathroom cubicles are "amoy chismis" and have low water pressure. 7- No parking lot.

A little warm during hot days but very good variation of food, friendly staff and very friendly atmosphere. I really love how the place was designed. We tried the little bbq stall near the stage, the main bar which served lovely frozen margaritas and the steak house right beside it!!!

The place was so cool. The choices of food was so vague that you will undoubtedly found anything that your tastebuds feel like eating at the moment. The beach bum barbeque was a huge hit, we have to wait for few minutes for our orders to be served, but it is definitely worth it. The people are nice and the music will make you groove your body without even noticing it. Amazing indeed!

The restaurant itself is very nice. It's an old home converted into a restaurant. Ordered the seafood items when I ate here. The "buttered talaba" or "butterred oysters" is a must try dish. They also sell pottery items and nice vases at the outside area of the restaurant

It is our first time trying this restaurant. The food is well prepared. We ordered crispy pata and it is not dry. So thumbs up for that. We also ordered their buttered chicken, I don't hate it but I don't love it. It is so so. We had their shrimp ampalaya, it is sauted tomatoes with fish sauce. Hmm for Iloko people they might love this one. Then cesars salad which is you know cesar's salad. Nothing special. The vibes to the place is great for family dinner and small get togethers. It looks like 1970's casa so check it out plus their service is great. 👍⭐⭐⭐⭐

I was not able to take a picture of the food. Surprised at how expensive food is in La Union. On average wherever you eat would be 450 (food) and 175 (drinks).Flavor was nothing exceptional, Ambiance is well worth the money and trip. Portion size was also good. Place is clean and service staff was very attentive.

It was so nice to find this restaurant serving all filipino favorites with a beautiful view of the sea!I am very particular with sisig. I usually refrain from ordering this in restaurants outside Pampanga, because the dish have had many variations some of which are good and some aren’t. Their pork sisig was good we had to order again 🥹The pinakbet was nice but its different, so i didnt quite like it as much as the sisig.Shout out to our server Mike who recommended the dishes. 5 star experience for us - came back twice in two days! Food is delicious and service is quick and friendly. Serving sizes are pretty generous too - we definitely over ordered each time. Would 100% recommend the dinendeng and pancit here, super mouth watering. Quite enjoyed the buko shake too, it’s refreshing after a hot day at the beach. It’s a comfortable and quiet dining area at with good views of the beach so would definitely recommend this to anyone looking for a good meal.

Really enjoyed this restaurant. The food was great. We ended up ordering chicken adobo and pork sinigang along with an iced caramel coffee. The staff were very friendly and positive here. They also had AC and the beach was easily accessible, so definitely recommend.

This is located at San Juan Surf Resort. Perfect location since beachfront and they have ample parking space.Family friendly and kid friendly place, good for big groups!The dishes we enjoyed the most are the pancit and crispy pata. Their tuna sisig is delicious also.4 stars only cos there was a cockroach that appeared from one corner/joint of the table while we were eating. Sad flying ipis pa hahaha 🥲

Our first stop during our recent LU trip to have breakfast. We ordered beef tapa. What we really like about this restaurant is their customer service hands down. Searching for a dessert and went back there at almost past nine in the evening, which was their last call for orders. But still, they gladly accommodated us. Great interiors and there's tons of things to choose from the menu. Everything tasted heavenly although i was not a big fan of the Special Liempo. Prices are a bit on the higher side although the suggested serving of one person can easily feed 2. Would definitely be back! 💖

5 stars because it's the "most decent" along this beach strip, even if it's pricier than you would expect in the province. (Almost 3k for the 6 dishes below, but totally OK with me bec the food is generally good.) The crispy pata is execellent for me. The pinakbet is not the native type but a fancy resto type, but still good. Forget the spicy wings - inferior to the usual wings in the city. 3rd time dining here, incl a previous stay with breakfast.

Only a select amount of the food was good. I specifically ordered a creamy carbonara pasta in which the cheese tasted expired, the bacon was soggy, the bread wasn't cooked correctly, and the flavor was blade while the the texture of the noodles wasn't even cooked all the way. The popcorn shrimp and calamari rings were also alright, interesting choice of flavor with seasonings. They also left the shell in the popcorn shrimp even though the point is to peel it and just serve the meet. The servers we had were trainees so they not only mixed our orders but they also forgot one of the orders for my cousin so he sat around for dozens of minutes without anything to eat. It's really too bad since the infrastructure is really cute and very stylish as the modern aesthetic look made the place alright.

The food was great, seafood were fresh. Scallops, mussels, clams, crabs, squid, shrimps,...galore. Bagnet sinigang, liempo are also a must. Sisig is also good, but mux it well before it gets burned in the sizzling hot plate.

Been here last January 14, 2023. We appreciate the place and the service but we didnt enjoy the food especially the The Ultimate feast. Crabs are too small, Theres no much shrimp and the sauce is very salty and it has a lot of pepper. We also order Liempo and baked oyster which is good. I really hope you do something with the sauce

We ordered the seafood feast for lunch. The food was delicious, but there wasn't much squid in it and the crabs were too small to find anything edible in it. Wasn't crowded on a weekday afternoon. However, parking lot was almost full when we visited (probably because it shares the parking lot with the hotel). Not the best seafood resto I've been to in La Union, but definitely one of those I'd go back to someday.

Do yourself a favor and visit this lovely restaurant in San Juan, La Union! (They also have a branch in Baguio City)The service is unmatched. The staff truly cares about your experience. The food is absolutely amazing – everything we tasted melted in other mouths. My personal favorite is their Black pepper Seafood Feast! ❤️ I can eat this all week! Haha! Absolutely the best seafood restaurant here in La Union! Oh and by the way, they also have a Branch in Baguio city. Near Wright park! 😉

Beachfront Chicken DinerOn our way to Ilocos, we stopped here for lunch, for the chicken and for the beach view. And we liked our experience. The chicken was good and crunchy. We all liked the flavor we order. But they served 3 chickens for each order. Some of us were satisfied with it while others found the 3 chickens good for sharing meal. So better manage your order depending on your appetite.We also liked the relaxing vibe of the place and especially the beach. Overall, it was a good choice we stopped here.

Food was slightly salty but it was good after getting up from swimming for a few hours. Extra rice is a must, original was flavored surprisingly well. Soy one was a bit salty, the korean one doesnt go that well with the corn but the sauce was 101% awesome choice. Place is crowded because its soooo good. Fries are thick cut and seasoned well. Is a great place to visit. Will be returning soon.

Solid eating spot. They only serve fried chicken so of course don't go expecting a fine dining experience. I wouldn't say it was the best tasting fried chicken I ever had but it was good and definitely worth the money in my opinion. We got the Korean soy fried chicken and the honey bagoong chicken. The woman who served us was very kind too. I personally preferred the Korean soy option more. Would recommend to a friend.

4/5 for the price and serving!A bit expensive for a chicken meal but it was delicious so…We ordered honey bagoong and szechuan style chicken!The honey bagoong came with kare-kare sauce and eggplant, onion and tomato ensalada.The szechuan style came with spicy sauce and stir fried veggies. (This one is too salty for me when eaten without the sauce)Went there on a saturday around 1pm, they have few seats only, so we waited for a couple of minutes before we could find one.

If there’s one thing I love it’s fried chicken. I eat fried chicken almost every other day. When I heard there was a yummy fried chicken joint in La Union, I had to try it out.Unfortunately, it just honestly was not that good. I got the Elyu Original and swapped a piece with my friends Korean flavored one. For the Elyu Original, not only was one of the pieces cold, but it just didn’t have that much taste. It didn’t come with any sauce either, so it was extremely plain. It’s no better than fried chicken anyone can make at home. The Korean flavor was okay. Much better and the glaze was decent. Another complaint I have though is how the chicken doesn’t have as much meat, with huge chunks being comprised of skin. If that’s your vibe, I don’t blame you but I prefer some juiciness too. Fries were okay.All in all, I was a bit disappointed considering the high reviews and word of mouth from friends. It was filling for 280 pesos, but it really lacked in the taste department for me.

I love the view from my seat. You will feel the fresh air from the beach. The food was great too, it's just that their crew didn't pay much attention to their customers and we had to follow up our orders one by one, otherwise we will wait for a long time before our orders arrive to our table. Anyway, great place and great view. We went there in the morning but I think going there for dinner is another experience to have. You can go to the beachside and relax. You can swim too if you want but I believe they don't have any shower rooms. We had to go to the resort next to it just to wash and change clothes

Another highly recommended place for Sunset Therapy. I love their cocktail. They have a buy 1 take 1 promo until 6pm. (Not sure what time it starts) I love their grilled Pampano.

Decent food with a decent price. We already went here few times ago, and my family & friends are always impressed with the ambience. Nice chill vibe due to their nice interior design. For the food, it is always good for sharing with a wide Filipino selection. The price is reasonable too. But note that their squid is always “rubbery”, so avoid ordering any squid dish. Parking is always a hassle! Try to find a pay parking near so it will save you the stress. We’ll always get back here though and hopefully service will be maintained even though people flock on this restaurant. To sum up, the atmosphere makes up for the food. 🙂

After a morning walk on the beach we took a break here on the second floor to have an Ice Mocha and a Mango Smoothie. Great service and the prices were reasonable. Excellent view of the beach.

"This place is just a few steps away from a resort my family and I checked in. We walked in for a quick dinner and checked out the place as well. We were immediately seated at a table and the service was quite quick. The food was prepared and served within 15 to 20 minutes despite the number of dining costumers. The ambience is cool and the people are warm and friendly. It was a pleasure watching the sunset while you dine and enjoy the great tasting food on this cozy place. Yup! They serve excellent food and is a 'pet-friendly restaurant!"

What a lovely setting in front of the sea. The ambience is great, the layout and combination of straw and wood style. There food was pretty impressive and it didn't take them long to deliver on our table. They even have an out door platform for the evening events with big bag cushions. It's clean, lovely breeze from the sea, the sound of the waves and great place to eat with family. Parking is a bit tricky but you can all adjust to it. They have sets of parking and I had to park outside the second car park and paid the owner of that space 100pesos, no sweat!

Kabsat deserves a praise when in comes to their food and service. Food and drinks are great and always served right. It is very spacious, two-level restaurant. Outside seating at the beach sand is also available. It is almost always packed typically during weekends, so expect a queue outside. Since it is situated along the San Juan public beach, expect as well that the beach to be packed. Overall, great experience. Will surely be back again.

If you were looking for the best sunset view with a vibe of local bar and tasty foods, this is the best place in La Union (in my opinion).Their outside dining and benches is on of the best views of sunset. Chilling with a zip of cocktail looking at the beach, the best feeling. The sounds also matches the place vibe.Foods were delicious and in big servings. Lots of cocktails and drinks to choose from. Food and location is worth the price.Usually crowder during afternoons esp sunsets. Their outside dining costs 3k but consumable. Will definitely go back to this place if given the chance.

very relaxing place. Onshore sea breeze supplemented the flavorful breakfast that we had. Breakfast menu are served before 11. No other choices can be ordered during this morning. My mother enjoyed her danggit. Service wise, there were limited staff to take care of the customers. They will just approach you 3x: take the orders, served it, and for payment purposes. The look of elegance doesn’t match the service. No blame from the crew but management should hire more staff to serve the needs of the customers. We asked for the menu book to order some more, but waited for 10 minutes and nobody cares to remember to give us one. Ended up to pay the bill instead.

Great place to chill from lunch to happy hour. If you’re lucky, the place has a great view of the sunset. Food is a bit expensive but the tastes good. Kabsat coffee is good too.My fave new chill place complemented by 80s disco music.

Food is okay. A bit pricey though. Best to go there during the day. They offer buy 1 take 1 cocktails in the late afternoon perfect for sunset. At night, there are lots of customers and your order would take around 40 mins before it is served. The place is also a bit dim lit and mosquitoes are everywhere.

Great place to catch the sunset. Nice interiors. Good food. + b1t1 drinks during happy hour (which I didn’t know so I was pleasantly surprised when 2 drinks arrived when I only ordered one)Most reviews comment on the bad service but I think I arrived at a good time because I received good service and didn’t have to wait long for food (arrived ~3:30 pm).When I left around 5:30, there were tons of people waiting.

One of the most visited coffee house in San Juan, La Union. My fav is their Vietnamese iced coffee. They also serve Vietnamese food and all day pinoy breakfast.

Had a quick coffee run when we came here on our first day in elyu. Place was along the highway so it was a bit noisy on the area. Iced spanish latte and lu latte was good! Caramel macchiato was too sweet for our liking.

I love this place!It is just sad that we came here on our last day in La union. We just had a quick morning coffee here but because of the vibes we chose to stay a little bit longer.It has a cozy/homey vibes which is what I am looking for a coffee shop! The combination of wood and high ceiling feels like home.The staff are accommodating and the service is great. They have free and fast Wi-fi.Definitely will go back here!

Last time I was here was before the pandemic, but it's great to be back! Unfortunately when we were here, power interruptions were happening in San Juan. The coffee shop itself was affected it was hot as there was no AC running. Windows were open to atleast mitigate the heat.Despite all of these the staff attended to our needs in the most professional way.Food were served hot and iced coffees were served cold! Food Presentations were okay.I personallt ordered the Smokey Tinapa and as a tinapa lover it was superb! The Smokey Tinapa flavor is not too much! You can enjoy and appreciate the flavor.The Iced Spanish Latte is also superb.Prices were okay with the serving size, taste, and presentationMust try in San Juan!

Interior is a 5, ambiance is a 5, price is definitely a 5! My favorite was the cheeseburger & Pho Ga, i recommend those! We also ordered seafood marinara & buffalo wings which was sweet so we didn’t really like it. The pasta smoky tinapa was really good though!

Loved this place. Will hopefully come back soon. We got baby back ribs and a sisig rice bowl. The food was easily a 10/10. Tasted great. The staff were very friendly and the place has a great atmosphere. Recommend highly.

☕ 🍵 Coffee - they just opened and we were lucky enough to choose the place to sit. Went here just to grab coffee. Ice matcha mocha is good for me 💚 🤎👨🍳👩🍳 Staff - very accommodating and friendly.📍 Place - easy access on the main road and the place has 2 floors which adds a few more seats upstairs. They have a great ambiance, also loved the interior, it really is a coffee library. They also provide Wi-Fi, and have plugs 🔌 which is a great place to work, and/or to chill out with your friends and family. But the place only have limited parking space.

(visited March 2022)Pleasantly surprised by this place! We were looking for a place to have lunch and found this place. Coffee is good and refreshing, and the food was much better than expected. Enjoyed the turon and the chorizo pizza, and even the noodles.Serving staff was friendly and accomodating, service was fast. It was easy to get a seat. And aircon!

Experience is above expectation. We've visited this place 3 out of 4 days stay in Elyu. Coffee is much better than El Union. Food serving is great. Just an FYI though, they close the kitchen if there are bulk orders so expect that you cannot order any food. So better ask them first before you order so that you know how long is the waiting time. They are very accomodating and the place is nice and spacious.They serve vietnamese coffee as well. A must try!

Probably the best burger you can get in surftown. Chow down the burger hot from the grill on the spot to get the best out of it. Parking is non-existent so you better try your luck across the street for a parking slot or park further away and walk back. Take out is the common choice but I do feel that it taste a whole lot better right on the spot.

Ordered a couple of the Amboys. Presentation is OK, condiments are good, BUT ... the patty lacks taste, NOT seasoned at all. Both burgers eaten with patties that have no taste - in comparison with simular.burger joints in MM.

Really good juicy and flavor-filled burgers made right in front of your eyes. The fries are also good, but they sog fast. Food is recommended to be eaten fresh out of the grill. One of my top meals in La Union!

Burger was good. I was expecting the bread and patty to be bigger though. Also, the wait time takes too long. Be ready to wait when they say 20-25 minutes wait. It takes a long time even if it's not too crowded. I wanted to try their fries but there were no sides available.If you're really craving for a burger, it's an ok place to go.

With San Juan having so much food options, the best way to find a great place to eat is to ask the locals. Our tricycle driver suggested Nak Nak and we're glad we listened. It's affordable and with diverse food options for foreigners too. Their place is small though. One can miss this if you aren't paying attention but it's just along the crowded San Juan strip. Parking is really hard to find in this area so don't make the mistake to park by the road side as it's a violation.

We came here because of the overwhelming great reviews. It is just really over rated. The food price for the serving is same as you would find in any Filipino food stalls. The taste of the food itself is ok, nothing extraordinary. Staff are friendly, the place is very tiny and it can get crowded easily.

#1 go to in Elyu if you want cheap yet excellent food quality. Plus points for their quick service and friendly staff. My favorite food to get here is their Lechon kawali. Have also tried their bangus sisig and pancit canton which were also so good!
