The building is nice and the room is spacious but full of flies. My issue with Rustica is with too many inattentive staff standing around the guest tables. Though there are 5 staff members around our table, we still have to call out several times to request assistance. In addition, the room was so warm that guests at our table were beginning to sweat. We asked if they could provide a fan (another table had one) and they proceeded to set the fan up at a table that just arrived instead of ours. After several visits, I think staff need better training but also protocols to not stand together in groups in the dining room. Quite a drive from San Jose, but if you can stop by and eat there, I would definitely recommend! The food is clean top notch, I am from Canada and one of the things I worry about is cleanliness of food, and water. Andre06:12 03/23/23They attempt Italian but it's not great. Most people here prefer Filipino food anyway. Piadina pollo was terrible. Frito misto tastes soggy with coconut oil. Canned olives in salad, mayo too sweet. Did not try pasta. Price ok. I would put the kitchen by the road and the tables in the back with shade and view. It's a definite must try when passing by. It's cheap but fantastic food. Service was superb and the view is breathtaking day or night. Y'all should give it a try,been here a few times already. joy gabriel06:22 03/23/21Its a nice place for a short stop during long drives. They offer good food for a fair price. The view is stunning and the staff are courteous. The place is generally nice.
