SM in General Santos is still the biggest shopping mall in the city. It has a good parking space but it can get so busy during the weekend. The SM Cinema is still well maintained. There are a lot of cafe and restaurants to choose from. The department store is ok and has a lot to improve and add on. They have a prestige lounge where you can enjoy a free coffee, tea and water and a clean washroom.

Quite the sight, I should say. You can clearly see this mall from a distance. Place is pretty busy during weekends and holidays. Stalls are jammed-pack with stores of varieties. Cheap to luxurious products, you name it. However, their cinema is still not yet open due to Covid19 restrictions. But if you're into shopping and other leisure activities, you might consider this mall as your go-to. 👌👌👌

Definitely my favorite place to eat in General Santos City. Their food is absolutely delicious, my favorite being the spicy chicken sisig. The customer service is wonderful as the staff is very polite and quick to help with anything. Food there also comes out surprisingly fast. Highly recommended.

Last night, I was feeling like steak for dinner, so my fiancée and I decided to have dinner at the the Cotton Bowl. I had had a less than stellar experience at another Gensan steak house, and being a first time visitor to the Philippines, I wasn’t sure if it was a cultural difference, or incompetence. My dinner at the Cotton Bowl answered that question.I was thrilled to see wagyu beef on the menu. It was something I had always wanted to try, so I bit the bullet on the expense, and ordered the wagyu rib eye, rare. My fiancée ordered the t bone steak, well done.Both steaks were cooked correctly. Not only was my rib eye perfectly rare, but the flavor and texture were flawless. The wagyu beef lived up to it’s lofty reputation. My fiancée’s steak was well done, as per her desire. Personally, I think that cooking a steak well done is an abomination, but she was happy, and that’s all that really matters.The vegetables that garnished our plates were cooked perfectly, and my cheese stick appetizer was hot and yummy. There was no aspect of our meal that was less than perfection. The service was attentive without being overbearing, the atmosphere was relaxed and casual, and we were made to feel like valued guests.If you are an American, expecting a 16 ounce slab of prime Texas beef, downgrade your expectations a tad. I have yet to see steaks or prime rib in those proportions hereabouts. But if you are looking for a quality steak dinner, look no further. This place was really good, two thumbs up!

Came here for dinner with friends. It's my first time since I am no longer GenSan based so I didn't have any expectations.We ordered salad. It was disappointing. The iceberg lettuce was wilted. Simple fix was to soak it in water with ice for a few minutes. The croutons was makunat. It was obviously left out for hours.We ordered well done steaks but one was obviously frozen when it was grilled. The insides has streaks of red while the outside is well done already. We didn't even finish it. The other plate of steak was okay.Their whole fried chicken was good as well as the mushroom soup. For the price we paid, it was a bit disheartening. On the other hand, the servers are very nice and attentive.Will I recommend Cotton Bowl? I guess not. Spend your money somewhere else.

Steaks were delicious and cooked to your preference. I chose well done, and it really was well done hehehe. Anyway, we also tried their classic burger; and, like the steaks, it tasted good 😋😋😋.Place has a nice ambiance and instagrammable too 😁😁😁.Location is also very accessible since it's just in front of SM Gensan and along Green Leaf Hotel.Restrooms were clean and well maintained.Staff were also friendly and accommodating.Will surely come again with a lot of friends.PS: Cotton Bowl has a small parking area. Good thing SM is just in front, so we parked our vehicle there ha ha ha

We went there yesterday to celebrate my boyfriend's birthday. We ordered medium well T-Bone steak, they gave us well done. We tried to complain but they insisted it was medium well. We've been eating here for 3 years already and it was such a let down. The steak was tough. Had to exert lots of effort to cut it. What a waste of money 🙄 Won't come back.Their hashtag burger is delicious but it's not the same as before.We've been celebrating my boyfriend's birthday here for 3 consecutive years already. The price increased and the quality changed. The service wasn't that good. There were lots of people yesterday so they were focusing on the big group. No quality control.

This is my first time to dine in this new location and as always, they did not disappoint. The steak and fried chicken were good, and we did not wait too long for the food to be served, maybe it helped that there were only few customers at the time.I really appreciate clean and well-lit toilets, and Cotton Bowl has both qualities. The place also smells nice and was well-ventilated during our lunch. It was a super hot noon and we did not feel that inside knowing that the place si surrounded by glass, which absorbs heat easily.Couldn't wait to return and devour their burgers! 😊

A bit expensive but lots of food, decent portioned entrées, and the food was tasty. They have an extensive menu with lots of options. Every meal is served with multiple side dishes that you can enjoy while your meal is being prepared. One issue I had was that they had an insert in their menu that advertised 100 peso off but when we ask about it we where told it ended but they didn't update their menus yet. Some may consider that false advertising.

I really love their food!! Especially Tteokbokki, Bibimbap, Osam Bulgogi and Jjampong. On the 2nd floor, they offer unlimited samgyupsal which is Php299 with unlimited meat and side dishes but I did not like it. The meat was very normal.So it's better to order the regular menu on the 1st floor. IT WAS SOOO SATISFYING!!!! 🤤 😋Last night, we ordered Jjampong (Php300) and Osam Bulgogi (Php450). Thanks to the waiter who recommended this. Unlimited side dishes too!! It was so worth it! 💕It was my 3rd time but I'm going back again this Thursday. I just couldn't get enough of their food!! This is the best meal that I've had so far in GenSan, and probably the only restaurant I have visited so far that would survive outside the Philippines. My cold noodles and fried dumplings were delicious! Service was good and the restaurant was comfortable.Highly recommended!

For some first timers the restaurant might not be so easy to locate especially at night because the name/banner of the restaurant was not lighted that time. Nevertheless the service was very good. The food is fresh, hot, delicious.and in large portion as well. They also served 6 yummy side dishes along with the main dish and prices are affordable. Kumowo! 😁

The legit Korean resto in the city. They offer a lot of Korean dishes and definitely taste very good. My faves are the free lettuce and other side dishes. Jjampong and beef bulgogi are also must-haves. Surely, you will enjoy this place especially if you love Koreanovelas. Saranghae!❤️

I took my wife here on my very last day before flying back to Germany and it was a very good decision. The place is beautiful with beautiful piano music playing which creates a romantic atmosphere. The staff was very friendly and caring and spoke English too so that I was able to communicate with them.I ordered crab here for the first time and it was very good.Everything considered it was a very good last day for my wife and myself. We haven’t been here for years but the food quality is still the same. Experience classic filipino food in it’s classic taste. They also served very good steak but this time we had some filipino foods and it was perfect. A perfect place to satisfy your filipino food cravings. We had the native tinolang chicken with green papaya and sili leaves, soup tastes really good. The Meat platter is also huge. Very simple place serving very hearty meals. The staffs are also very attentive. The price is just right for the quality and the quantity.

This is a nice set down restaurant. Free soup with every meal and many choices. As an American in the Philippines I did not enjoy the flavor of the hamburger or the hashbrowns which were mostly shredded meat but my fiance who is from the Philippines enjoyed it. The cappuccino tasted like hotel coffee but brown sugar was provided. Atmosphere was enjoyable. Lots of free parking. A 7 out of 10 for me.

Chanced upon this restaurant last night. It was full, til we saw a table for 2 in the middle, beside their utensils cabinet. Good thing our companion fell asleep, because if we're 3 we wouldn't be able to get a table at that time.Tried the Ben's Salad for starters. Quite a lot of fruits, than lettuce. The vinaigrette was sweet and tasty.Decided to order 2 platters, one with Pinoy steak, shrimps and calamares with garlic rice; and the other platter with baby back ribs, chicken leg quarter and tuna belly. For 2 people sharing, the 2 platters are more than enough.Order took a while to prepare, good thing they served a clear soup. Still, we had to ask for the salad to be served whole other orders were still cooking.Since place was full, the noise level is also high, with people discussing meetings over some steak. That is a bit of a turn off, aside from the order taking about 20 minutes before it is served. Staff was very courteous though, and helpful

One of the best restaurants in General Santos especially when you’re looking for steaks and Tuna recipes. But what I really appreciate at BigBen is their value for safe foods. When we dined last weekend, one of our orders was baby back ribs, however the waitress informed us that it is not yet available. Of course I asked why, since it is still only around 11am. She told us that the meat is still being thawed and not yet ready for cooking. So, why is thawing very important when cooking frozen meat? It is because, the external surfaces of this food could be cooked, but the inner portion might remain uncooked and harmful bacteria within the food may not be killed.

Their salad is amazing, perfect balance of fruits, greens, some protein and just the right amount of dressing.The smoked wagyu ribs, 5 stars on presentation, 4.5 on flavor and tenderness. Great main dish for a couple.For ramen lovers, the pork ramen for real is just so-so, level is just above good. The soup is a little saltier than needs be, and the noodles are average.

I love the foood. I ordered their best selling ramen (angus black), their best selling maki (i forgot the name), their best selling salad which I also forgot the name. Their pork steak skewers are also the best. Try also their yogurt drink (lychee & cherry). I love their service. It's fast and the staff are very hospitable and nice. The place is just right. The food orders we had through GRAB a few weeks back was disappointing. But I really wanted to give it a chance, so we went in this evening. Parking is good only for a couple cars, so I’d recommend taking a public transport to get there as parking space is not guaranteed.•Grilled scallops was okay. Not the typical butter-cheese-garlic topped ones which are my favorite. This has lots of mayo(which I am not a fan of), garlic, topped with masago.• Chashu ramen was comforting and pretty decent. I think the chashu was perfectly tender.• Pork Bao Buns was alright. They came out bigger than I anticipated. Bao bun was a little dry. Pork filling was savory.• Dragon roll was surprisingly good. Although, it wasn’t something I would’ve ordered. If you came here mainly for sushi, prepare to be disappointed. As the sushi roll options are pretty limited, they can also be “not available”.•Yuzu lemonade was great and refreshing!The service was good and prompt, considering there were a lot of people when we went.The location kind of kills it for me, as it’s a bit of a trouble to get to and the lack of parking space. And the super limited sushi options! However, I’d still recommend for anyone to give it a try if you want to experience a decent Japanese food here in Gensan.

A very busy and popular Japanese restaurant in the heart of the city. Ramen was al dente, tonkotsu soup was milky, chasu could be better though. No service water here, so either you order bottled or bring your own. There are juices to choose from, some of which were interesting. Very limited parking space so best to be there early to beat the dinner crowd.

The food served is not as good as it used to be. Beef steak is rather blunt and side dishes (vegetables) were served direct from the chiller. It's pricey though for a small piece of meat and the ambience is quite poor to the point that rat is roaming around 🥺

Still the best steak house in Gensan. Try their best-selling steaks, Beef strips and mouth-watering Chicken. Taste buds will surely be pleased when in Roland's Steak House. Place is cozy and a bit small but has improved a lot. Service and customer has really improved a lot.

Roland's can take pride in being Gensan's first ever and oldest steakhouse but I honestly think they need to improve on the quality of their steaks. No question about the buttery taste of the meat but I had difficulty chewing. I ordered medium-well but it was like chewing gum no end. The meat was obviously pounded but I still couldn't swallow most of the meat of the large t-bone I ordered. So much fat and so "veiny". Their fried chicken though, is so good. Crispy fried but it maintained the tenderness of the meat. Tastes great, too. Service is fast. I'd probably come back for the chicken but I'llneed to think a lot of times about the steak.

GenSan's pride for being the City's best-tasting steak was an experience to tell. From their rich history to their Fillet Mignon and Medium sized steak that really melted our taste buds.Though they had a small space which can be too crowded during peak hours, they can still deliver a timely and good customer service.

The garlic sauce for the latter is so flavorful that we dip other dishes there. Their ala carte shrimp gambas is also the bomb! Must order!Other recommendations:- liempo is good. But the one I haven't had the chance to order was hubad na bbq and everyone's raving about it. Very clean restaurant, deserving of 5 star for food taste. This place also follows the city ordinance health protocols regarding dine in.. amd that's very important especially this pandemic..

Great place for events like birthday parties, conferences, meetings, seminars etc. for just a consumable 3000 pesos you can reserve the VIP place (fully air conditioned about 20 people can occupy) you can add additional chairs and tables without charge. The foods they serve are worth the price. This place is highly recommended.

Very fresh seafood! Cooked properly, not overcooked and tastes just right. The pork bbq was very good too! Tuna belly, sinabawan na mata ng tuna, blue marlin kilawin (ceviche), grilled squid and lato salad. Clean restauran, spacious.

It was a great food restaurant. They serve hot cooked foods. The food was so good we ate with our hands. "Kinamot mi kay astang lamia.".We ordered half of Garlic Chicken and mango shake. Very yummy and satisfying. We went home full and happy.They have a big tv in the middle that is airing ABSCBN at the time we are there. It is located near highway and is very easy to access. Lots of parking space.They have many customers but when we go there. There is always seat available.

Food is really great 😋😋😋I absolutely love their garlic chicken, pancit canton and kinilaw (albeit it's now a very small serving 😅 haha) Also, compared to the chicken slices served before, the slices served now are considerably smaller (hmm...must be because of inflation?!). Anyway, I still think that this place serves the best garlic chicken in town. A must-go-to-try place whenever you're in General Santos City.Staff is not that friendly/accommodating/attentive. You really have to try very hard to catch their attention even if you're already in front of them at the counter 😅😅😅The place is clean and spacious. There are a lot of electric fans to counter the heat.Prices are also a little bit expensive (considering the small servings of food).Location is very accessible.Restrooms are also okay.PS: No need for QR codes or vaxx card/cert. Just wear face masks upon entering.

They have upgraded and closed off their resto. No more dust, smoke and noise from passing vehicles on one of the busiest intersections in the city. They have been one of the original garlic chicken that the Generals have come to love. Unfortunately, inflation has really reduced the serving portions. Could really work on the interior and the serving time too.

Still the best Garlic Chicken in the Philippines is here in Gensan. Their dining is spacious. Their service is good and serving time is within 10-20 minutes. I also love their Chopsuey.

This branch is open 24/7, so whenever you feel hungry in the middle of the night or early in the morning, you can count on this place. They offer breakfast meals, soup, garden salads, pasta & fries, and desserts.

The lechon kawali was so hard to chew. Price wasnt reasonable for the taste and it says open 24hrs but its not. Pasta was too oily, burger was too high priced. I was not happy at all. Place was okay, food was not for some reason.

I been here for many times. I stayed here while waiting for another meeting or schedule. Good thing here is that they have power outlet and wifi where you can charge your phone or laptop. You can do your work after eating with with your their typical pinoy food, whic I usually do.

One of the best Taps and Mix Resto branches in Gensan which has the best and most accessible location. Serving is good and fast. Food is still great too. Try their Hungarian sausage and Lechon Kawali.
