It was my first time getting waxed, and from my research online and from my friends, it’s really painful.But Ate Ejhay and the everyone at Pink Parlour really took care of me. Ate Ejhay was very friendly and accommodating, answering all my questions, and was overall very chill. She walked me through the entire process, communicating what she was about to do every step of the way, which is such a good thing for first-timers. She gave clear and specific instructions to during the procedure so there was zero awkwardness. We’re already BFFs! Adriana G16:39 06/14/23I rarely leave reviews let alone negative ones, but this was honestly one of the worst waking experiences I’ve ever had.1. The bathroom was not well-equipped. I wanted to wash up before getting my Brazilian, but the dispenser for feminine wash was empty so they left a bottle of Ph care in the bathroom. This is forgivable but I cannot help but acknowledge that this is so unsanitary for all the clients to be handling the same bottle while washing intimate parts. The grout in the bathroom was also black and dirty which didn’t give an impression of cleanliness.2. The staff were u professional. They are very nice and accommodating, but the staff outside of my waxing room were talking so loudly about personal matters in a group and I could hear them very clearly throughout my session. The staff member assigned to me was wearing a hoodie with the hood pulled up, which made me feel like I was being waxed by a random person rather than a trained professional. This lack of a professional atmosphere made me feel uncomfortable—that is a big no-no when in a setting where clients will be in a vulnerable state such as getting intimate parts waxed.3. The waxing was horrific. Not only did my waxer get me covered in honey, she also made me hold taut certain parts of my body that were ALSO covered in honey which left me very very sticky and uncomfortable. The reason I’m paying someone to do the waxing for me is because I wanted to avoid that mess and discomfort. I ended up with honey all over me and then was left to clean it all up myself with some baby wipes.I’m not gonna go too far into detail regarding what happened during the wax itself, but let me just say that the execution was terrible, needlessly painful, and very very amateur. It unfortunately shows in the result as I can visibly see large patches of hair still on me.I felt so bad during this session that I was supposed to have my legs waxed after but just cancelled the rest of the service and wanted to go home.Overall this was a very bad experience and I really wish for barenaked glorietta 5 to improve. Believe it or not I used to be a regular but hadn’t gone for a few years. Needless to say that will be the last time I’ll ever avail of barenaked’s services. Next time dont put a closing time of 9pm, if you will not accommodate until 9pm. Or better yet put a cutoff time at your door or in your website, for your client to be informed, and not waste time of getting there only to be rejected. I also work in a service oriented company, but i never rejected a client who came in before our closing time. Train your people and review your customer service. Hey Sugar!
