The women that did my hair on my first visit was super friendly and nice but the whole visit felt rushed. I left unhappy still with my roots showing, $200 and it looked like nothing had been done. I called the salon and the stylist reached out. I wasn’t comfortable going back to her. I later heard from Leslie, who assured me it was an easy fix. When I went back I felt so uncomfortable, my previous stylist walked past me and made eye contact more than once without a single word. My new stylist and Leslie came up with a plan to fix my hair. It wasn’t until the blow dry portion of my appointment that thing went south again. I had plans for 7 and was assured by the kind man at the front and my new stylist that I should be done way before that. When it was time to wash my foils out she told me she had another client and was looking for someone who could blow dry me since she wouldn’t be available. I said to her that was fine but I needed to leave by 7. She didn’t like that. She then came back with a sarcastic “I moved some things around so I can blow dry you”. I was so frustrated with this salon I felt like crying. Since this visit was to be free of charge I was planning on tipping the stylist that fixed my hair, but after she was done blow drying I just left. I wanted to run out about 45 mins before that. The only reason I would even rate this is because of Leslie she was kind and reassuring. I promise I won’t be returning after 2 uncomfortable visits. Over all the salon was beautiful but the people were not so nice. The judgment was so obvious and the tension could be cut with a knife. If you’re looking to switch salons this is not the one. She was very concerned on how the bleach would react with my hair and made it very clear she cared more about the integrity of my hair then the color. I completely agreed as its been a long journey on growing my hair. The music was classic rock which was amazing to listen to my favorite songs as I sat in the chair. My experience was great, not only Brooke was very nice but all of the other staff were as well. I have been getting so many compliments on my new hair color and I am in love with it. I will be returning to get the pink touched up. I have already recommended this salon to other people and its a great location being right near main street in downtown Annapolis where you can shop or get a bite to eat. My husband and I just got married and planned a spa day to unwind and relax after all the business of wedding planning. We booked a couples facial and massage over a month in advance, and had been so excited for it. Our appointment was confirmed the day before, and we were even asked to move our appointment time by 30 minutes, which we were happy to do. On the day of, we arrived, changed into our robes and slippers, and were then informed that our services had been booked separately and in separate rooms, rather than together in the couples room. The staff was apologetic, but were unable to accommodate us later in that day, or even within the next two weeks. What was supposed to be a day of celebration and relaxation became a day of disappointment, confusion, and frustration.Edit: While the staff were kind and apologetic, they were not able to offer us any services in the same room, as the owner’s reply states. We were given the options to have our treatments totally separate (which is not what we booked), or to reschedule all together. Given that this was a day meant to celebrate our new beginning as newlyweds and spend quality time together, we opted to try to reschedule our services for another day. However, the spa was unable to accommodate us and had no options that worked with our flexible schedule. While we sympathize with the staff who were left with open schedules, the spa was unable to provide us with any of the “couples” services we had originally booked. I wish that we had been given clearer communication prior to arriving. Luckily we were able to schedule a spa day with all the same services at a spa in DC for the next day.Second edit (as I’ve just seen the owner’s response): It was disappointing that a mistake was made regarding our reservation for couples services. Again, while everyone on the staff was very kind and apologetic, they did not offer us any services in the couples room— in fact they told us that the couples room had been booked by someone who had made their reservations earlier than we did. While we were disappointed that things didn’t work out, we did not make any “demands,” as the owner asserts. I should also note that the owner was not present during our time at the spa, so that may be part of why our experience is being mischaractarized. One would think that a small business would use this experience and this negative review to improve their systems and their communication, rather than accusing their customers of lying. I started calling around and found Blush. Sierra Billings took my call. She immediately instilled confidence in me and started making the arrangements for the big day. The venue didn’t open until 10am and the wedding was at 1PM. So she kindly came to our home and styled the first bridesmaid then packed up and followed us to the venue where Amanda awaited her arrival and the two of them started doing hair. By noon we all looked fabulous and they even French braided one of our grooms men’s hair. They then set the veil. I LOVED how Amanda did my hair - it was EXACTLY the look I wanted. I described kinda what I wanted and she made it happen. It stayed in all day. It was very soft around my face and long in the back. I am mom of the bride. All the other girls loved their style and Sierra and Amanda didn’t even do a pre day styling. They did all of this the day of. Everyone LOVED their hair. They were so calming and confident which helped us all relax. I can’t recommend them highly enough. They ROCK and you won’t be sorry if you hire them for your big day.
