Terrible service, unfriendly digital menu and boring cocktails. But the food was good from other kitchen/restaurant, deserved two stars.

M. Morgan11:17 04/23/23
Good quality of drinks and good vibes! But much better with open roof terrace, which is sometimes unfortunately without knowledgeable reason closed!

Lily T01:38 12/28/21
Nice place for Taipei 101 view.Chill place for drinks and dancing a bit.Good vibe in general, only the cocktails are needed to improve..some taste are really awful..my friend can’t even drink it.

Jiremi Ra-ai09:10 11/18/19
One of my default bars in Taipei with a mix of good vibe, view and staff. Service varies however.. and the drinks are strong, but not the best I’ve had. Plus point is that it’s a local hangout joint so you get a local experience.Relatively crowded on weekdays, so it’s a good choice to soak in the feel, but do go early on weekends or get a table. I think they have quite some to improve in terms of the product.Do try go level 2. It’s a good view/ atMostphere

Jason Hung10:01 10/19/18
One of the best bars in Taipei, with an awesome up close view of Taipei 101 from the balcony and roof floor. Bartenders are friendly and easy going, and willing to customize a drink for you on weekdays. Please don't expect superb bar service during rush weekend hours, it's not going to be perfect anywhere else too. Music is okay, atmosphere is always fashion and chic. One of a kind experience!

Great place! The atmosphere is amazing, like from a movie. The staff is kind and attentive. The cocktail are not cheap but very delicious. The rooftop is great and the pool is open until 10pm.

Yeung Holiday00:38 04/28/23
Love the vibe here. Cocktail drinks are pretty nice, my picks are DETOX MARTEANI and TAIPEI MULE - recommend to everyone!! DJ music is amazing and it is definitely the highlight of the night! As for the price, I think is reasonable.

Artemis Han10:14 04/10/23
This is one of the best places for drinks in Taipei. There is good music, amazing vibe, and nice pool view. We held a small gathering here and the staff was so friendly, helpful, and accommodating. The food is above average, and we really enjoyed the wine and cocktails.

Good food, nice bar with a multilingual staff. You don’t need to stay at the hotel to use the restaurant or bar. Great atmosphere. Ignore the burger I was going to town on 😂

Daniel Tsai14:43 07/01/23
Fancy restaurant on the 48th floor with good decor and an open kitchen layout. Prices are quite high even compared to quality of food. The high prices are mostly for the view. The menu frustratingly lacks a set menu for individuals.

Derek J. Foley12:03 06/25/23
Beautiful atmosphere and view. Food was delicious, especially the tomahawk pork and shrimp risotto. I had the 'Rooibos on Fire' which I'd highly recommend. Felt like I was back in the Midwest USA in October, cinnamon and apple with tea and whiskey. James was very accommodating and helped me select a second cocktail, Kavalan whiskey, cacao, strong. I will definitely be back.

charbel saghbini09:19 05/01/23
If you’re looking for a unique night experience in Taipei, I do recommend this place!A wonderful view over the city from the 48th floor, you can enjoy the incredible view while enjoying a good affordable drink (cocktail around 12€).If you’re a big group, it worth to book a lounge with a view over the Taipei 101!

Mikhail Tiu00:17 04/20/23
This bar is located at the top floor of Breeze Atre and has a 360 view of Taipei City (101 area). They serve classic and well known beers and also have some mixes of their own. They also have some light snacks to munch on while you drink. They have promos from time to time such as happy hour rates, buy 1 take 1 and other discounts. Their menu has English and they accept local and foreign credit cards.

Lisa00:51 12/28/21
We were there for Christmas dinner. Best view of Taipei101 in town. The food served are very good except the wagyu beef was a bit hard, ribeye would have been a better choice. The waiters atthe restaurants were all over the place and not trained well. There are many waiters but took forever to get someone to order or even just to get a water. All very good looking waiters but not professionally trained. Other than the waiters, it was a good experience overall.

The barcode is now more like a clubbing area. The bar area used to be called The Den is now called Bar24 and it has a train theme. Drinks are pretty good.

dim ben07:35 04/11/23
Good location in Xinyi district near some of the most popular bars and clubs in Taipei. Free entrance. Modern design in dark colors. Most customers book tables. If you don't have a table, still some space at the bar or by a small dance floor.

Dominic Bowers08:07 03/27/23
It's a lovely setting and a beautiful layout. The bar is well managed and I didn't have to wait too long for drinks. The music wasn't too bad

Jaclynn Joseph15:53 12/24/22
Went here tonight with 3 friends, and the staff was ridiculous. We just came from Xmas dinner and I had a box with leftovers in my purse. We were asked to show ID and one of the male staff at the door looks into my purse and announces that we can’t come in with food or drink. I tell him clearly that this isn’t “food”, it’s packed away leftovers from a dinner. He keeps repeating that we can’t eat it inside...yeah, duh. It’s a wrapped container of leftovers. Lol This is after he LOOKED INTO MY BAG. Then he demands I leave my bag in a locker that I have to pay for, because apparently I’m going to take out leftovers and eat them at the bar or something? (He also accused me of having cookies..it was truly a bizarre experience.) Finally we were let, sat down, then told at the entirely empty establishment that we couldn’t sit at the table but had to sit at the bar (could have told us when we entered?) Then, to top it off, my friend was poured the world’s smallest glass of wine: photo below.Would not ever go back again. They are ridiculous and lack commonsense.

Zoe Scott06:32 09/06/20
Fun spot downtown—especially for English speakers. Everything here was in English and all the staff spoke English as well great music, extremely unique cocktails (priced at about $300-$450NT). They have standing bar space for walk ins, otherwise you had to have a table reserved to sit at the booths inside. There was a $5000NT minimum to sit on the outside patio. They have a cute spot for pictures, free air hockey and the drinks were fantastic!

Love the spring afternoon tea at Marco Polo lounge. The view from the lounge was spectacular, even on a cloudy day. The afternoon tea set was not just appetizing to eyes but also very delicious. We truly enjoyed every single item and ate them all. 😅

Stella Lin15:31 02/13/23
There are better bars with better music than MP, but the view was not replaceable.

Christelle T15:16 10/20/22
I went twice at Marco Polo, and it’s my favorite place to chill so far ! First time for the Marie Claire afternoon tea with a wonderful view.Second time for a cocktail and snacks, lovely vibe. I will go back again for sure !

shashidhar s12:45 07/08/20
very beautiful bar. affordable prices, delicious snacks and gorgeous vibes with the view of Taipei 101.. The staff also offered me complementary vodka shots🥰🙏

Jeff Tan16:45 09/10/18
Firsly the positives, the view was amazing, the ambience was great, loved the setup and design. Unfortunately the drinks were only average, and even though there weren't many customers, it took a really long time for our order to be served. The waiters knowledge of drinks wasn't very good however she did make an put in effort which helps. For a 5 star hotel, the pricing is pretty reasonable.

Sad place, quiet and no one. Bad service, old marquee was much better. Don’t go

Andrzej Bania21:47 06/12/23
This venue has reinvented itself several times, but it still looks old and tired. The food is very average, especially by Taipei standards. The location is excellent, and that is why people keep booking it for events.

Brian Jae-Soon Hwang14:44 04/21/23
Nice drink with great service, Would highly recommend

YC Chen05:15 12/07/22
🧶Kindly remind everyone who's going to visit there:1. You can order cocotails before 02:30.2. This space allow visitors to smoke indoors after 21:30, which is unfriendly to cocktail fans.3. The whole space became smoggy and we didn't find any specific smoke exhaust equipment on the last visit.4. Confirmed to the staff that they'll keep having people smoking indoor til the world cup final.5. Could check the the "do's and don'ts" about the top 20 bars in Taipei and learn more details in this industry, as reference.

Sevgi14:40 09/30/22
This bar is chill. I went to an event here not too long ago and I think above anything else the service is what makes this place stand out. The staff members here were attentive and nice. The place itself does look like it needs an upgrade in decor. The music was ok but not my cup of tea on the night of the event.

Real Customer Reviews at Bar Mood Taipei:

Paul Metz23:15 08/05/23
Our party of four had a great time at Bar Mood. We reserved a table for two hours on a Friday night, for after-dinner drinks. The atmosphere had a cool vibe - dark, but not too dark; great background music, and friendly, attentive service. It is a very classy bar. The cocktails were creative and delicious.

Melissa Eisner03:29 05/08/23
I had heard a lot of hype about this bar and came expecting some great drinks. Unfortunately, the experience was a bit ruined by some pretty poor service. From the arrival of our first drink to the last drink at the table was 25 minutes. We think they may have even forgotten about the last drink, but it was then impossible for us to enjoy together. Our waitstaff was pretty unbothered bu the experience we had, but the head of front of house came to apologise and deliver some nice shots to make up for it. Such a disappointment as I really wanted to come and love this place.

Michelle M07:40 03/11/23
Beautiful place to have drink with your friends. I love the spaghetti, love also grill pork, 蘿蔔糕and satay chicken. The drink is also nice 奶油調酒, we drink several drink also. Spend 1300NT/ person. On friday we only can stay 2 hours, a bit pity for friday hangout.

W Wong04:06 03/06/23
Loved my time at this bar. Sophisticated yet at the same time very homey. Our server made sure we were well taken care of and did her best to recommend us the cocktails that we would enjoy. All drinks tasted delicious and it was overall a wonderful experience. They have a time limit of 2.5 hours session and because how much we enjoyed our time there, it flew by quickly. I already know that I’m coming back next time when I visit Taipei ❤️

Adrienne Lin20:09 02/26/23
Founder Nick Wu’s large menu is meticulously detailed and highlights one ingredient per cocktail. A brief summary of each highlighted ingredient accompanies each menu page, with a focus on local Chinese/Taiwanese significance. Tasting notes and illustrations of the drink vessel were also incredibly helpful.I enjoyed sitting at the bar and being able to admire the skilled mixologists, who were trained to make many different and complex drinks simultaneously. We are talking multi-tasking six different craft cocktails, from memory and seemingly effortlessly, while also being able to make small talk with my friend and I.In addition to the well-balanced cocktails, the food menu was quite a treat. I only sampled a couple (yuzu mentaiko spaghetti and foie gras turnip cake), but very much enjoyed the elevated spin on comfort food dishes.
