We waited in line for 5 mins and by the time we got in it was 12:01 and she wouldn’t accept the insta post that gets you in for free since it was “too late” even though we were one minute late since we waited in line.The atmosphere is great everyone is dancing. Not only is the building itself beautiful, but so are the people who work there. I was visiting SA for the weekend and the staff made me feel welcome and right at home. Bonham was very nice, has an antique and unique character, the only negative I have to say is the stage, I think the speakers and the podium they are in the way of being able to see the performance, if you ever go get in the middle that would be your best view. Host was very funny and I loved the great chemistry she had with the audience. If you do not pay for tables or seating be prepared to be standing for a long time. I actually witness someone fainted. it was so Hot unexceptionable!!! We all paid to be there. The venue failed our party of six that will not be returning. I went for an eighties themed night in conjunction with The Lost Boys (movie) & have been going ever since. First and foremost it's easy to get to, easy to park at and feels SAFE. Secondly they play the BEST music and THIRDLY (and most importantly) the crowd is a whacky diverse mix of locals and all sorts, that are all happy and friendly. It really makes you feel comfortable. West siders alongside older people and super young, they're all here, for the same reason; to have fun. And fun is had. It's a great deal price-wise, two dance rooms, one with some New Wave and Goth (fun!) and loads of people dressing wild for that, and the other is more 80's/90's. The DJ is excellent. Everyone is respectful of diversity so LGBTQ are safe and you can reserve a table if you're having a Bday party which is an awesome extra. They use to have parking but now they are getting people towed during the events. I guess the parking lot next door wasn't theirs. Clean up your act 800 or you might hear from the BBB. At first, good music was playing but it was kinda empty. After 2pm, it started getting busy once the other bars closed. I was standing at the bar and approached by another patron who was quite relentless. The bartender completely ignored us for about 20 minutes as he kept walking back and forth pretending to be busy, although not actually helping anyone. Meanwhile, I was being groped by this man next to me that I wanted nothing to do with. I tried to get the bartender’s attention finally succeeding after a gruesome 20 minutes, ordering an angel shot which I assumed would be universal bar code for help. However, that was not the case as the bartender merely informed me that alcohol sales had ceased for the night. Perhaps a more thorough training is required of Heat’s bartenders to understand when their patrons are being harassed and when to intervene because I felt completely unsafe. Quite honestly, if this bartender had even attempted to make eye contact in our general vicinity within these 20 minute he could have recognized that something was not right. The bartender in the back room was wonderful. When we went to the front area we ordered some drinks and when I closed out the drinks there were 4x what we previously paid. When it was brought up to the bartender he played it off as if the price discrepancy were not true. It became apparent that the place was dead for a reason. This used to be our go to for a great night out but now it’s apparent that it was dead on a Friday night for a reason. They tried to take advantage of us on a slow night and luckily we caught it.
