me and my homegirls went here and had a blast literally!! There tons of sections and 2 levels in the club. I really don't know why there are so many bad reviews. Everything was fine lol

Edward Diaz21:11 02/14/20
Good atmosphere and music, terrible bar service from the ladies working the counter. Was charged $20 dollars for a mediocre vodka/redbull drink, and was originally told $17 dollars until I paid to find a different amount. Teach these women better social communication skills as well, lady was very rude just to ask for a drink.

MA Pearce11:26 01/26/20
They charge $60 cover charge for men and $40 for women. I went out with a group with both and we decided not to go due to the high cover charge. Thankfully across the street there was an array of fun bars to attend so the night ended rather splendid.

I took my cousin and her friends here for her bday Saturday night and overall we had a great time. Amazing music selection & DJ, the lights, & the whole club setting was amazing. The guest list is bogus though!!! I put our group on two different guest list and was in line early at 10pm and did not get in free or discounted. Also, they overcharged me for my drinks. I bought two long islands that were 16$ on the receipt but when I checked my bank statement, I was charged 20$!!!!! Smh. The dance floor was extremely crowded it was difficult to really dance but we still made the best out of it. I will be open to come back, but I wouldn't suggest throwing your party here unless you purchase a table. Also the bouncers can be pretty rude. One bouncer guy literally grabbed me from behind forcefully to get me out his way which was unnecessary.

Hailey15:25 06/29/17
My friends and I came here as part of the Hollywood club crawl so I'm not sure if there was a hefty cover but I wouldn't doubt it. There is quite a bit of security before they will even let you in. When we got in around 10:30-11 it wasn't busy at all, we were the first ones there. We decided to order a drink- just a vodka mixer which they charged a price of $15! The set up of the club was actually really neat- there are booths that line the walls and dance floor and paintings of celebs on the walls. I found those really awesome but overall I just wasn't all that impressed with this club. If i could have afforded to get wasted so I could forget about how expensive the drinks were then maybe I would have had more fun but I really don't care to come back here.

Very beautifull club with good Light show and screen. But It is urgent to review the sound system, a very present echo, non-existent midrange, the speakers badly positioned. Switch to a line array system and your club will be amazing.

Chill club. It's pretty big. Just 1 big dance floor. The stage and lighting are awesome. Security is really nice compared to other clubs.Parking is terrible. Every weekend is a different theme. They charge $40 to park in their lot. I found a parking structure 1 block south vine for $10, just a 5 min walk.

The Avalon was the perfect venue for Capcom Cup IX! Leslie and the entire Avalon staff were incredibly professional and so easy to work with during our event/shoot. Highly recommend this venue if you're looking to host an eSports tournament and livestream.

Anastasia Rivodeaux21:11 03/27/23
I’ve organized our event in Avalon and was so impressed with the management and staff! Their ability to go an extra mile to accommodate all our requests was incredible. And then the event went great, the space was clean, staff was above and beyond helpful. As the organizer and a guest - highly recommend

What and amazing venue! The acoustics were great. The architectural design a classic 1920's vibe, but also up dated with a state of the art visual and sound system.I had the opportunity to attend The Grammy Teen Concert produced BTMR ENT and RAW Nation which featured a number of upcoming talented young performers.I enjoyed all the groups, my favorite was the group Lyyonce Love the music was phenomenon as well as the dancers/choreography - Although they are just teens, they are definitely SUPERSTARS in the making. In terms of seating, there was ample seating, the bar had that classic 1920's design. Although, food is available, we did not try ordering. The facility has two Parking was good, as there is a parking lot adjacent to the building pricing is between $40 to $50 for VIPIt was a pleasure visiting the historic Hollywood Live-Music Venue.

Amazing venue. I was there to photograph Marcelo D2 as part of his American tour. The venue was fantastic, great layout and setup. The place was bouncing with a great atmosphere.

Garrett Reuscher16:38 06/01/17
Pricey, as nightclubs are. I can't say if entry was good or not because I was part of a club crawl that got us past the line. Drinks were rather small for the price. The club was spacious and it seemed like they did a decent job of keeping it full without overcrowding it, but no real seating since this place uses all of its booths for bottle service.

Shay Eff21:25 04/02/17
The customer service is extremely poor. The staff was extremely rude. Mid question, the host at the door said "I can't talk to you" and walked away. The event was advertised to be 10pm-6am but everyone was put out by 2:30am. Huge difference! VIP was in no way exclusive and crowded. The club itself was mediocre. The music was good. I did not have an opportunity to try the bar. It would have been nice if a last call for alcohol was given so I actually knew the bar was closing.Lina was helpful and accommodating. Definitely a hidden gem. Unfortunately that wasn't enough to salvage the place. I would never go here again. Spend your money at a club who actually appreciates your business and treats you as such.

Derek Kang02:47 03/09/16
The venue looks pretty outdated, but it was rather easy to get into. The downside of bottle service is that security is really lacking, and people can easily go into your table and cause drama. We had two separate occasions of people coming into our table, and we had to hunt down the venue employees before things were taken care of.

Danny Nguyen22:31 12/13/15
A really nice venue to go to for clubbing. There's lots of street parking on Ivar if you're lucky! If not, there are small lots that are 5-6 bucks on Ivar too. The place looks really nice and its pretty fun with a big group of friends. If you didn't get a table, be prepared to dance all night for 3-4 hours! The only complaint I have is drink prices, but then that's the price of almost every club. Drinks were 15 and up, which is pretty high but oh well! Don't bother bringing in a jacket, cause once you dance for a couple hours, you'll be all hot and sweaty!

I went to this club only to see a bunch of felons and thugs around. I did not feel safe going to this club. When I was leaving some people murdered the bouncer at the door. Stay away from this club!

Sounds like YA'LL need to hire a few more bouncers to take care of the RIFF RAFF out there.. Hollywood is way over exaggerated

Krissy Mechelle22:34 05/31/23
Dragonfly is one of my favorite places to go on a Saturday night. The DJ’s are always good and the staff is very friendly and accommodating. Highly recommend if you want to have a fun night and listen to good music.

Jacqueline Martinez22:23 05/31/23
I love it here! Good music, great customer service, and nice staff up front. My favorite night is Thursday’s it’s Spanish night.

Anahi Alexandre05:35 05/07/23
The club Instagram posted a flyer with directions to purchase tickets. We got the tickets and when we arrived they told us they don’t take those tickets and haven’t for 3 months. It was extremely unprofessional. Maybe communicate with your promoters. Don’t post information to your official Instagram page that is false. Literally a waste of our time. Terrible management.

The Hollywood Pub Crawl wouldn’t have been amazing without the host Alyssa! She is one of the most fun and energizing hosts I’ve come in contact with. She made the entire experience fantastic! I hope she will be hosting more events like these in the future. Rock on Alyssa 🤟🏽!!!

Alyx21:27 10/07/18
This was my first time in California along with my husband. We were clueless as to where we wanted to go downtown but planned a Hollywood clubbing night now. It was AMAZING! The hosts are sooo friendly and lots of fun! They know how to keep your night entertaining. Prepare for some walking. Not very far. Loved the group atmosphere. This club crawl made you feel VIP. The clubs were also amazing. You spend just enough time at each one and the hosts do a good job at rounding you up to get to the next club. Shout out to our host Angel! He was awesome! Drinks are pricey but hey it's Hollywood. Prepare for $10+ per drink. This club crawl takes care of your cover for each club and gives you reasonable drink specials and there's no wait to get in! Will absolutely do this again!

Kiersten Bakowski04:34 08/22/18
If you are going to nightclubs, you NEED to go with the club crawl!!!!! If you want a more relaxed scene, this is not the event for you. We had a ladies night out and it was a blast. Our host Mike went above and beyond for us. We already are planning our next night out with you guys! Thank you so much for the hospitality, next ladies night we are going to try the Downtown Los Angeles club crawl.

Hobe Robin04:15 09/28/17
An awesome way to walk down the Walk of Fame and have a great time! The hosts are incredibly nice and make you feel really welcome. The club selection and music was wonderful! It was a fun time and I met some really cool people! Highly recommend and I will definitely go on the club crawl again.

Alexander Ontiveros20:28 07/04/17
I hardly go out, luckily a good friend invited to me to go and it was a blast! Right when I got to the to first club it was like the opening event and club after club it just got better. The clubs were themed and very nice with a ready to dance environment. It was really cool because I got to go in a group so I got to talk and meet with everyone in my group plus the people at the club. It was a terrific first experience thanks to the hosts Melody and Angel! Definitely an experience to try again!

When you're here your in NYC : you've worked hard for your rent life and you want to dance! This is the place : many places in Miami, Amsterdam and Chicago dance in these energies but Station1640 is a pure dipstick into New York / Manhattan and the rolling House beats that bring on the morning! Thank you for this pure experience your hard work is savored more than you could possibly imagine.

Gabrielle Navarro15:36 07/04/23
Came here to support a friend. I definitely see potential in this place. I don't drink, but I'm always willing to spend to see my loved ones have a good time. But I did want to make known this because I regretfully didn't at the time. But I was so taken back by the young (& I only mention young bc they definitely looked & acted like it based on their mannerism compared to mature tenders behind the bar in my experience wayyyy different; tentative wise + communication). When serving drinks, I noticed both bar tenders grabbing limes + Cherries by their unwashed fingers/long finger nails after being on their phones or touching other things. It was cringy & at that moment, I had to laugh it off because I saw it shortening my visit to support my friend. But this is something I do hope to see improvement on bc I do plan on continuing to support my dear friend. Also, aside from the ladies behind the bar, the entrance staff weren't as welcoming. It felt very dry right at entering. I don't expect a red carpet & fireworks upon arrival, but a "hello, welcome.." & maybe a "you're welcome" after a 3rd "thank you" or even a smile could set the tone before walking in. I mean, people are paying a pretty decent entrance fee + expense for drinks. I could see me pulling up with more people if this changes. But unless it does, I probably would avoid it because some of my people are not as subtle when it comes to mannerisms/cleanliness when spending in places that you would expect to serve purpose. I see the vision, definitely have goals to be set/met + could use major improvement on the mission + value. Mind you, this is coming from people who traveled an hr + 2 hrs away. Best of luck to all who experience this place.Oh & I rated 2 for food, it wasn't bad. But it was expensive for small portions for some simple hand/fast food. Drinks were also full of ice & expensive for mostly mixer + the smallest plastic cups.C'Mon HOLLYWOOOOD 🤣

Tracy Hang23:38 06/07/23
Monday night vibes! The crowd, the energy, the live karaoke sessions! Drinks are so so. $$$ my friend paid $23 for a drink in a small plastic cup. I don't think it's worth $23.Entry was $20 even on a guest list. Male or female. My roomie was a regular, so I finally gave it a try.It was full to me but the roomie said, its usually more crowded. There were a lot of beautiful black woman. I noticed the woman more than the men. 😅I'd recommend it for a fun Monday night. 🙂

Ghislaine Switz02:48 05/21/23
We went to the weekly Thursday running Respect DNB show and saw Deekline spin an amazing set. The inside area is relatively small, but there is seating around the perimeter when you need a break from all the dancing. They also have an outdoor area, with a patio and more seating options, for everyone needing to cool off and relax, etc. Do not go here if you're primarily interested in sitting at a bar or in standing around drinking; people are dancing inside, and everyone is dressed accordingly as well. We definitely enjoyed ourselves. 🙂

Corey Higgins22:31 04/23/23
So I came to LA for the first time with 3 friends for the brunch /day party. When I got here it seemed to be a good party. However I was met with unrolled orders. The waitress was no at fault but the kitchen failed. I ordered the chicken and waffles and was told it would be a 15-25 min delay. I then witnessed my friend get her chicken and waffles before me and then my other friend get their order after I got mine. I told the waitress to take my order from the bill. I had to go to Popeyes on the corner to eat. They tried to elevate the problem with free shots, but to no avail. I still have not eaten. I do not recommend this location at all if you want a good brunch/day party experience.

Return policy for guests of dj are unreasonable. I was added to the list late and not given refund after they finally confirmed I was to be comped. The base is good, but simply having loud music doesn't mean a good sound system. We should be able to talk and hear each other while still feeling the music. There is no place you can relax your ears except the outside smoking section. Once your inside, they don't allow you to leave and come back even if you forgot something.

Neil Sood17:47 09/10/17
Very unprofessional - attempted to charge me double the price of my drink. If I wasn't paying attention, I would have just signed away! Furthermore, the manager REFUSED to give me his name. Come on, I wasn't going to do anything with it, but he was so scared that he just kept saying "you don't need to know my name". Save your money, go somewhere else

Esteban Carrillo08:39 01/18/17
Cramped, hot, and dirty. Music is mostly unknown artist mixed with the overuse of the DJ horn. Drinks are reasonably priced. Don't be surprised if you leave there smelling like cigarettes or weed.

Daniela Castanotto14:30 05/30/16
This place could be so much better, but… it’s not! I organized a private party for my daughter’s birthday. We decided on a budget and signed a contract (so far so good). I will refrain to discuss every detail and focus only on what I think went unacceptably wrong. Since the agreement, the contract kept changing as the date of the party got closer (of course not in our favor); the usual excuses were “my mistake…I did not know … your budget is limited (although my budget was the same for the entire time). We had about 50 invitees. I will not discuss the other charges but just for the food (excluding the drinks) we agreed to pay $20/person (which is NOT cheap) to have 3 types of appetizers for the adults sitting outside in the patio and 3 types (sliders, chicken kebab and zucchini fries) for the youngsters dancing inside. In the contract was clearly specified that each person would get 2-3 pieces of each appetizer. For the adults it would be a buffet style in a reserved area, while for the people inside the waiters (which we paid for) would pass the appetizers around for 1-hour.The day of the event, no waiter stationed in the patio knew about the party, there was no reserved area nor a buffet style table set up for us. The worst part is that they did not pass the appetizers inside, they only placed 1-type (the sliders) at the bar and merely enough to get 1 to 2 per person (it should have been 2-3 pieces of 3 types = 6-9). I guess Club Couture is weak in math!I instructed the teens to brag about having the most expensive, single slider in Los Angeles ($20). When I voiced my disappointment I was told that they were “surprised”, they “did not know what happened”, and “it’s the chef” oh, “it’s another chef” one, they never used before (because of my budget…you know…). My understanding is that they were about to finalize a contract for another party (a Bar Mitzvah) and I believe they were just delaying the posting of my review as now they have stopped responding without ever offering an explanation for what happened (nor – of course – any form of refund). So “BAR MITZVAH PEOPLE” if you have just signed a contract and you are reading this, BE AWARE, they will ask you for a deposit and then to pay the entire amount before the event is over; DON’T DO IT!!! Pay the balance at the end, after they feed you or the “new” chef will flee with your money and the food. The 2-stars are for the music which was good and the people (waiters, DJ, bouncer, etc.) who – despite all – were very nice. With a little more honesty and organizational skills and most of all with a truly new chef (it’s always the chef … or the butler…) this place could be great for private parties, but ‘till then I would look for a more professional venue; it is unpleasant to spend a lot of time and money to organize your event and be left with even a single bad memory. There are many other better places to choose from; think wisely, plan carefully and have fun!

Jei Gee19:36 03/18/16
I've never heard of this place but went there last night for the first time ever to watch a friend of mine perform. Nice place, great music, HORRIBLE SERVICE. First off, as I'm briefly standing outside waiting to get it, the bouncer is trying to lure a group of guys to come inside by saying that there were a lot of females inside but referring to 'females' in a very derogatory way. Very STREET mentality. Then, I go inside and the bartenders have a disgusting attitude, both of them. The woman was trying to make me whatever drink she THOUGHT I wanted after I explained it to her like 3 times. In the midst of the back-and-forth, she ended up wasting so much alcohol because she kept pouring the wrong things!! I'm not sure if it was the loud music or what but in my opinion, you need to come to a complete understanding of what the consumer wants before starting to pour anything. I didn't get a single apology nor did I get the feeling that she wanted to attend to us. She became more flippant towards me as if it was my fault she couldn't get it right. My friends and I bought a few drinks from her and each paid separately with our credit cards, no problem. Then, because of her demeanor and unwillingness to satisfy customers, we decided that the next round would be ordered from the male bartender at the other end. Once we go order with him he then tells us it's a $25 minimum to use a credit card!! We told him that we had just ordered separate drinks under $25 dollars from the other bartender and he simply shrugged his shoulders and took the drinks back. What in the world kind of service is this??? If you hate your jobs, don't take it out on your customers!!! Find another job!! Our friend who performed there must have brought in about 25 - 30 of us altogether. We will NEVER step foot in this place again. Zero professionalism.
