It’s a small place but it feels big. The ambience is nice and the decor seems comfortable and pleasing to the eyes. Although I’m not happy with one of the dish that we ordered, the rest are good. Staff are friendly and the service was fast. So I recommend this place for you to try out. What do you think?

Dominique LM11:22 07/30/23
Serving was enough for 3-5 people per dish since we were 3 (2 adult+ 1 child) and we couldn't even finish our meal. I guess they designed it based on American serving size.It was the first time that I ate Binakol with overflowing Buko (coconut) strips. Each food serving was delectably made and they made sure everything was delicious. We went there for ambiance and it sure did not fail us. Roaming around the restaurant was a pleasure for our eyes, it has a American cowboy theme which reflects the ancestry of the owner. It was moving to know that they're resto staff were physically challenged (deaf) & interesting to know how to do sign language. Though for people who doesn't want to do it, the staff just lets you write down your orders.

dennis hyde05:42 07/30/23
The food is good, but a bit pricy, they also add a 7% surcharge which annoys me, the waitress that served me was mute, so at least they are helping disadvantaged people with work.

Faye Dj10:15 07/07/23
We love it here...We love the quietness of the place (deaf staff). We are the only ones that are loud. hahahaAnyway, we've been here many times. My in-laws like it here also because the food is great. It's served fast. The place is very accessible. There is a lot of parking place at front. You just have to pay 50/hour. 20/hour if you show you receipt from the restaurant. The Restroom is so clean. Plus points for me.Was able to use my small sign language skills. It's so nice to be able to communicate with them. The food is also affordable.see photos...

Theodore Huang15:32 05/29/23
It’s not worth the price…The hot wings that we ordered was undercooked, I could still tasted the soggy flour. I did not understand why the sauce of Mexican chicken crepe is mushy. Fried Pork belly and shrimps were just okay. The fresh fruit shake might be the only thing satisfying.

Angelie Otom14:29 04/11/23
I found this place through google maps and some written reviews, that is why I would do the same. This is my first time to experience a service from a mute-friendly restaurant. The food is superb, the crew are nice, and a warm place to study history too. Make sure to take your time taking photos of the mini-museum inside the resto.

Ronald Pantanosas12:25 03/26/23
If your looking for an American feel dining experience Garden Cafe is the place aside from helping deaf community in the island it is also a place for good food, excellent & unique experience by the way, they also have Starbucks Coffee Station in case you miss your favorite coffee joint in the big city! Prices are reasonable accepts major credit cards & gcash as well. Clean toilets are available on the ground level. Front parking is only available for PWD.There is a pay parking in the opposite side for 50/hr

Prime Tamid-ay10:06 01/08/23
Will never regret stumbling in this place. It was a random walk as tourists and at first it was confusing to see the staff let us write the orders. It became clear and I became excited when I saw sign language directionals in the menu and by the counter. The cafe's mission and vision to include and help the deaf of our community made me love this place more. Not to mention the welcoming and sweet staff also the zero plastic packaging of our take away food. You may check more about them in their website and be sure to support such cause.

Y06:11 12/15/22
Quiet, tranquil, cozy restaurant. Cowboy-Classic vibes. Kind people working here. Nice idea by the way, hiring deaf and including sign language on the menu. The best burger I had on the island.

Nikka Cris11:20 03/30/22
Great area for family and friends. Just call 0 to order. Prices are reasonable. Tasty food with large serving. Located in an accessible area, nearby the cathedral, plaza, and a lot of malls.

Tim J01:12 01/28/22
This is a really good and unusual place. It has an American pioneer south west design. The food is great! I ordered the Cesar salad fish sandwich and American breakfast. Everything came out delicious. One of the coolest things about this place is they hire the deaf and have you write down your order. This was an unique Philippines dining experience.

Kleinberg Fletcher Tabel15:10 01/31/20
I haven't tried their coffees yet, but I like this café due to its tasty meals as well as the soothing ambiance that compliments it. I don't know for sure why this café is named after the scary-looking Philippine gecko, but like a gecko, you'll find yourself “stuck” for this place. What really fascinated me the most about this café is its very fast wifi. Most cafés barely reaches 20 Mbps, while the wifi here can reach up to 46 Mbps!

Fjord09:47 03/17/18
The place has vastly improved from the time it first opened. The interiors looked better now, there are more seats, and the staff members are more alert and accommodating. Food and drinks are a bit costly though, even if they don't taste any different from more affordable offerings in other cafes. And speaking of drink, it still uses plastic straws for its cold beverages. This is an issue, especially for a province that's problematic with plastic-waste management. It doesn't have its own restroom too. WiFi is also weak.

Good food, love the mocha frappe, good price too.

Fjord08:30 01/26/18
Easily one of my favorite restaurants in the city. Every dish in the menu is regularly available (at least in my experience). The dishes are well-executed in terms of flavor and plating. The place is not pretentious with its aesthetics. Service is very professional; the staff know what they are doing. Restroom is clean. Although the restaurant could use wider or more spacious tables to better accommodate their big plates. And its offerings simply belong to that unique profile where comfort food meets fine dining—everything's just delicious. I highly recommend the Cheese Pana Cotta and Baked Salmon Aioli. I hope this restaurant remains consistent.

Araceli Sarapanan14:11 05/14/17
The food is great. So delicious and worth the price. Hotel rates include free breakfast and we even had dinners and lunch here. Great variety of selection. I suggest you try their version of Chicken Inasal which is good for two persons already.

I don't understand the negative reviews, this place is the best! If I can only make one exception and give this 6 star over 5, I would. This place is exceptional. This café has the most relaxing ambiance among all the café's I've visited in Cebu and Bohol combined. The interior designs, the fragrance, the air-conditioning, the blinds, the table arrangements, and the soothing jazz music that keeps this place alive in the most tranquilizing way is beyond perfect. They also have the most tip-worthy staffs ever, with an exceptional customer service. Their staffs, from the waitress, to the cashier, to the baristas, are not only courteous, but are also very attentive to every customer they have. Such world-class service. (Something that's hard to find here in Bohol, quite frankly.)Their cappuccino is the best tasting cappuccino I ever had and its even more affordable that the ones in Bo's and Starbucks. Its has a tinge of cinnamon that colors both its taste and fragrance in the tastiest way possible.- Their coffees and cakes are not only tasty, but are also very affordable to, compared to other bigger brands.- They also have a smoking area.- They have a fast wifi connection with speeds up to 20 mbps!

Analie Coronel07:28 12/20/19
Not a crowded place , the food was great and the staff as well.

Fjord23:48 09/30/19
It is one of the earliest "proper" cafés in the city, and it usually attracts a huge, hip crowd, but it has seen better days because of competition. Today it is mostly empty, save for the hotel guests, networking groups, or people who don't want the noise in other cafés. Its drinks and food are good though, affordable at best. It offers free WiFi and has proper parking space outside. Its restroom just smells bad every time I visit the café; something must be wrong with its plumbing.

Jeoffrey Gudio03:26 06/12/23
While waiting for our trip back to Cebu, my colleagues decided to stay in the Sweet Home Cafe. It's a long climb as the cafe is located at the 3rd floor of the building. My colleagues who came in first enjoyed their coffee and tea drinks, paired with some of their delectable pastries. However, my order was inadvertently misplaced by the staff and was forgotten. Unfortunately a sudden power outage occured, so I just thought that the machine needs power and my coffee can't be served. When the power came back, I gave them time to probably reset their machines and equipment. But my coffee never came, when I asked one of their staff, everyone in the counter were startled, they asked about my order and began searching. My order slip was on the counter top. Never had a chance to enjoy my coffee, had it to go in a paper bag, but all was thrown on my lap and shoes as the cup leaked and tore the tag when we took a tricycle in going to the port.

Stephane Guy06:15 04/09/23
For breakfast you have to choose between one cafe or one juice, if you want both there is extra charges. There is also extra service charges who is not mentioned on the menu. They didn't care well my order because I received plain rice and scrambled eggs and in my order it was garlic rice and 2 sides cooked eggs. I wanted to treat myself by going to this cafe. The result was a mediocre experience for a price claiming high quality. But the Chicken Tocino was interesting to taste.

fayette06:39 09/22/22
Lovely little place. Nice ambiance. Quite pricey. Very attentive staff. NY cheesecake was really nice. Blueberry cheesecake not so much. Tastes like it's been there for quite awhile. Nice place to chill out..

Far Maque14:28 04/29/19
Venue is really good. The price of food is a bit expensive (cakes ranging from 110 to 200, fries 95, salted caramel shake 195) but totally worth it! I definitely recommend this to tourists who just wants to chill and relax

Fjord15:55 03/02/18
Just okay, tops. The place could easily get too constricting, especially when you're with a large group. The food are a bit costly, considering not much on the menu leave a lasting impression in terms of taste. It's ordinary. WiFi connection is unreliable. At least it has a parking area, a comfort room, and the staff is actually attentive. It has a great selection of pre-packed tea, too.

Food is good but the place can get overcrowded and noisy which can be very distracting. It was also a tad warm when we visited, seems like aircon was not working properly. Spots outside are great though.

Just within the city, but few minutes walk from the main road. Entrance at JJ's. They have indoor and outdoor seating. They also have coworking spaces with fee. Fresh and tasty food, fast service, and amazing views, despite the smoking part from Panglao. Prices are above average but it's worth it.They also have handcrafts and other original items for sale

Luke Salter04:55 03/13/23
A really nice cafe! Great view overlooking the water - we couldn't believe how quiet it was! Food was really nice, lots of good vegan options, prices online inline with others in the area, but the quality was some of the best we had whilst in Bohol. Wi-fi worked, staff were friendly! We also got some free complimentary popcorn.

Andrew Gentes13:33 02/24/23
This place is tastefully decorated in a kind of hipster vibe with local art and a view of Panglao that is stunning. I ordered a pyangang with chicken, my wife fish tacos. Delicious. Literally one of the best meals I've had in the Philippines. However, it took an extremely long time for our food to arrive, despite the place not being crowded. Another problem are the dining chairs and tables, which are artistically but not ergonomically well designed, thus making the long wait for food even more unpleasant. Hopefully they can light a fire under their kitchen staff and invest in better furniture, because the food is top notch.

Jan Juanillo14:45 10/21/22
Sunset chasers' haven plus great foods! I enjoyed my breakfast tacos and apple beetroot shake sm! They have an amazing sea view. All in all, unique experience!

Fjord09:27 06/08/19
The place looks charming, definitely different from what Bohol usually has. The multi-colored furniture gives it personality. The view of the sea makes it even more perfect for slow afternoons. Service may be a bit slow but the food is tasty. Pricey, yes, but the serving's generous. The staff is also very accommodating. The seats along the open area/balcony doesn't have any ceiling fan, so it could get really hot in the noontime. The cold coffee we had also had too much ice, sadly diminishing the flavor of our Thai and Vietnamese coffee. There is no WiFi connectivity either. But it has a parking area and spacious restrooms.

Loved the food really. Ambiance could use a little bit of upgrade but really no complaints about the food. If you're a pasta lover, definitely a must visit.

Fabian Haller06:55 04/26/23
After the flight from Hongkong to Cebu then the ferry to Bohol we've been really exhausted and were happy to find the place Al Fresco Bay Cafe', they had very good pasta and bruschetta

Frankie Fiveangels07:06 04/19/23
Terrific place in Tagbilaran, a city that used to be so lacking in Italian food that you would've thought there was a ban on nice food. Typical pasta offerings on the menu with the addition of ravioli and tortelloni, stuffed pasta that always gets my attention. Like the title, the dining room is al fresco, but the food is exquisite. You need to come here and experience his coal-fired oven pizzas, and enjoy the Italian hospitality.

Tropical District05:53 03/30/23
One of the cleanest restaurants in tagbilaran. Tourists dont have to worry about having tummy problems unless you order pizza despite being lactose intolerant. Apart from that, their pizzas are top quality. for your reference, al fresco is comparable to some other highly recommended pizzarias in bohol such as toto epepino, giussepe, la tavola and sicily.

Manfred S.06:49 12/30/22
Nice open air place to relax. Very quiet there compared to all the noisy places in tagbilaran. sometimes it happened already that i stayed there the whole day. A lot of philippino and foreign locals have chosen Al Fresco as their regular place to meet friends and to eat italian food.Very good pizza, very good italian food, and very good drinks. And the best : they didnt rise the prices, or only a very little, compared to other restaurants around. The eatings is absolutely worth the price !Nice and helpful staff, and it s interesting to talk to the italian owner and his wife. This place is a blessing for Tagbilaran, really !

Michie Likey09:51 12/13/22

Dining al freso was what brought me here the first time. And the food is wonderful, doesn't have that "fast-food" taste and quality at all, perhaps because everything is indeed prepared fresh. Thank you, Al Fresco, for being here in Bohol. Cheers!

Arnaud Titoy05:43 07/30/19
Good lunch at al fesco, the owner is super nice and Italian therefore the credibility of serving Italian food. We had pasta and they were actually very good. For dessert, choices are limited, very yummy banana split. I got the tiramisu and unfortunately it was not at my taste neither my friends, I just told the waitress and they did not charged us for this. Therefore, I highly appreciate the customer oriented of this restaurant. It is pretty rare those days. Thanks again. And let’s hope the next tiramisu will be good 🙂

Gresa Arcena05:17 03/19/19
I loved the food there. It was good and tasty. We ordered their pizza, grilled tuna, hamburger and grilled pork belly which has this very good salsa. You can also ask to mix 4 different pizza toppings combined in one round/order. Only that the restaurant is open air so insects can just come hovering from time to times.
