Extremely fast service (11am Saturday), I ordered the Pesto scrambled eggs with bacon and gf bread. Great coffee with oat milk and yummy matcha latte.I asked if I could get my toast a teeny bit more toasted and they remade the whole meal (I felt terrible). Waiters were attentive and very friendly. Would definitely come back!Right next to Zara hotel and 202 ElizabethEdit: came back the next morning for breakfast again! Ordered the brisket with gluten free bread and they let me swap out the coleslaw and rocket with another poached egg! Beef was so flavourful and eggs cooked perfectly. Once again a beautiful coffee and fantastic service/speed.

Mike R02:59 05/12/23
So much better coffee than the cafes in the nearby hotels. Bacon and egg roll is absolutely delish! The toasted panini and special relish firmly places it in the realm of gourmet

First of all the cafe was not as we have expected. My partner and I ordered the big breakfast and slow cooked brisket. The food was subpar and nothing too special. The drinks were okay too.Service was good and attentive.

Tee S00:50 01/30/23
Coffee was good. Breakfast was great.Freshly made juices and good size for the price. Food was pretty damn good. I took the recommendation from the nice girl who served us and went for the pesto scrambled eggs with chorizo (there’s other options for bacon or halloumi from memory) and added mushrooms. It was SUPER tasty!! I can see why it’s a favourite. My friends had the BIG breakfast (very generous serving) & the “pot of gold” which was one of the few vegetarian options. They were both very happy with their meals.Service was friendly & not too much of a wait, which was surprising given how busy they were.I’d definitely recommend for a good value, healthy portion, super tasty breakfast in this part of Sydney!!

Nothing to sneeze at! Nice cafe with a busy ambience and plenty of seats. Coffee is city standard, which means it tastes pretty good. (Is not milky soup!) The food has a certain depth to it, which is splendid. Good value, especially when your colleague is paying. Great place to brunch....

An easy 5/5. Brilliant food & coffee, staff were kind, felt at home inside, fun decor and cute view by the window overlooking the street. The owner gave us a muffin because we guessed where he is from, from the big photo of the city on the wall ☺️☺️🎉Overall a great experience.(P.s I hope you don’t miss it on the street like we nearly did.)

This place was absolutely wonderful to dine in with my partner. The service was so fast and food was amazing portions and delicious. Definitely recommend their ice chocolates and bacon and egg rolls!

Joshua Quinn00:54 06/17/23
This cafe was a treat. The food was amazing, quick to arrive after ordering and it’s great value for money. The atmosphere is cosy and the staff are lovely. Would highly recommend to anyone passing by!

Alicia Jade22:58 06/05/23
The buttermilk pancakes are amazing, absolutely fluffy and just amazing. The home made whipped ice cream was beautiful and that homemade jam was to die for. The toasted muesli was beautiful, amazing presentation and even better that i was offered milk with it. The two good eggs big breakfast came in with everything you’d make yourself at home, not only was it delicious it was delicious. The service is 10/10, amazing coffees and specials. If you’re ever in Sydney for a night be sure to check this place out.

Kel JS00:24 03/13/23
We had a lovely breakfast, menu is an all day menu so partner who does eat eggs was able to order from the lunch menu. He had the Reuben and I had bacon & maple pancakes. Prices were good, on par with most cafes, but the food was definitely above average! Both meals were amazing and huge! Coffee was delicious. Friendly, welcoming, and helpful staff. While there are a few steps to go up into the main restaurant there are tables outside so I can't say it's 100% wheelchair accessible but there are options to cater for all customers. Will def be back next time we visit Sydney

Personally we love this boutique cafe. Nice good food and a bit of twist from usual cafe. The egg Benedict, crab meat omelettes is nicely prepared. My kids have French toast and it has a unique flavour. Love it. Might come back for lunch . Thanks you

Cashew Ssss01:06 06/26/23
Stopped here for a coffee and to kill time. The mocha in a mug was amazing, and so was the green juice, cold pressed on site in the morning. The waitress was also very friendly and helpful.Thank you all for a very nice coffee/ juice experience! We'll be back to try the lunch - the linguine looks amazing

Cassandra Cheok20:59 06/02/23
Filling fare, and had some interesting breakfast menu options. Service was quick despite its busy-ness. Food was presented well. My dish of tempura corn fritters was over-cooked resulting in some corn charred to dried crisps. Food and beverages were over-priced for the quantity and value, though I understand convenience and locality have to be factored in.

Lilin Tan07:33 05/13/23
I suggest skipping this if you are looking for a hearty breakfast in the morning. But to be fair, we ordered a crab omelette and wasn’t expecting it to be a cold Thai/Viet style breakfast option - definitely an acquired taste. Had the carrot cake and it was so-so too.

Andrew Phan12:28 11/19/22
Went here for lunch service after an appointment at Japanese embassy.Came after peak around 11.Service staff were very friendly and approachable. We were a family with 2 children. Even before we decided to dine in. A waitress came to us to ask if we were looking for parents room.Food and drink was delicious. We ordered starters only. The truffle chips and Korean fried chicken.Chips were the highlight for us.The coffee was really delicious too. Not sure what bean they used, but it really hit the spot.Though pricey altogether. The quality and service does do it justice. I would definitely come again to try something different. We didn't see high chairs and know the area is a business district. So would be curious to see how families would feel coming here during peak time.

Excellent service from the waitress in white shirt who came to take the order from us. Dessert and coffee was delightful. I would recommend to reserve table otherwise it will be long wait with very welcoming attitude and plenty of space. We would love to come back here again.Everything that I did mentioned above is not what we receive from here. Moreover, when I asked the bill from her she even put the dirty dish from another table in front of me that was totally unacceptable for customers service. Also I would recommend you to have the QR code to order that should be better from the table service that we received from staff. The only star I put here is the good looking decoration and shop atmosphere.

Trey Saunders03:34 07/31/23
Was recommended to visit while in town - WOW, the dining area is stunning. You walk in and are transported to an old-school Parisian restaurant with so much charm! They have done a great job at mastering the atmosphere.Despite the atmosphere, the food and service was average at best.Though the food was cooked and presented well, it just lacked flavour. I got the impression that everything was bulk made and there was little care to match ingredients.Furthermore, there was barely any service, except for taking orders and delivering the food. Nobody to check on the food or offer drink refills.Despite the lack of service, the POS system asked for a tip when paying. I did not appreciate this and can not see how they justify requesting a tip when there was no service. Additionally, the prices are already high, and Australian workers already earn a high wage, so I can not see the justification to seek a tip.

Donna Bunting05:56 07/26/23
Oh my goodness. I don’t live in Sydney but Brisbane I was not sure where to go for lunch today in the city so I asked the lovely concierge in the Hilton and he directed me to the Grounds. What a find. The staff are exceptional especially Lloyd and the lovely tall head Batman. The food was delicious, the atmosphere took me back to Downton Abbey era and was so comforting and peaceful. The bar stools are so comfortable and generally the place is so classy but not that u can’t enjoy and feel relaxed. I highly recommend this bar to anyone and if I am ever in Sydney again this will be my go to place. So good. Thanks guys. Donna Bunting.

Mia10:15 07/11/23
Honestly have no complaints for this place! The venue is stunning (but small so definitely book), and the menu has lots of variety! The service is attentive and we were seated, served and received our food super quick. The coffee is great and the food is yummy!

J F13:03 06/23/23
Great food and the most incredible interiors. Book ahead to guarantee a table as there can be a wait. Beautiful spot for dinner/date night.Leave room for dessert or pop in for coffee & cake/pastries during the day. The strawberry chiffon cake is a must try but is only available in the day/until sold out.

Came here for brunch without a booking on a Saturday - there was a bit of confusion in terms of queuing as some waitresses said to put your name down at the counter, and others said to just join the line. It would be good to decide on one or the other! We waited for about 15mins and service was prompt and friendly throughout. We ordered the following items and these were our thoughts:- Buttermilk pancakes- beautifully presented, delicious but soaked in too much syrup. By the end of the meal we were just left with soggy pancakes. Ask for syrup on the side (or it should just be served that way)- Corn fritters - I requested for scrambled instead of poached eggs and the whole dish was very tasty! The individual parts but also when everything was eaten together. The chilli jam didn’t have much taste I felt so didn’t really contribute too much to the other flavours.- Cappuccino and matcha latte - both done well with nice latte art.Overall a nice place to come for brunch. Bookings recommended and we’d definitely be back 🙂

Gustav01:54 06/17/23
Nice modern cafe in a quieter area of the city centre. It’s got lots of seating, including some outside, and a nice ambiance.Excellent coffee and great food - fresh in the display cabinet (if you want to grab something to go) and a great made-to-order full menu.Friendly & helpful service. Will definitely come back again.

Liv Nix12:46 05/26/23
Fantastic Cafe in the city centre (Haymarket end) with lots of friendly efficient staff. Mix up with our booking so table for 5 instead of 6 but they acknowledged and apologised and we got on grand. Great coffee and amaaazing food! A waiter passed with the corn fritters and we just had to have them. Proper serving size and really accommodating staff. This is a great spot and well worth a visit. Book if you can as it's very popular

Robert Webster11:08 03/25/23
Visited for the first time today and will definitely return. We only stopped for some chips and a cake but had a great experience and the food we saw coming out of the kitchen looks incredible. We got a huge bowl of chips and my partner said her gluten free cake (orange and almond) was the best she'd had. There were a few others gluten free items as well.

Glen Pearce05:50 03/13/23
This is a great little Cafe on Pitt Street in Sydney CBD. We enjoyed the cappuccinos and our meals. The meals were reasonably priced. The only criticism, as I'm quite particular, is the spinach lacked flavour, so should be served with a slice of lemon. The staff provided this to me when asked so all good. I am told the baked eggs were good too!

I ordered the lamb cilbir, I liked the pita bread! The lamb was good but quite salty. It had a strong flavor, good to eat with bread! The staffs were so friendly! The vibe also relaxing 🙂

Carlito08:58 06/06/23
This is a great little staple in Surry Hills for consistently good food and coffee. What's even better is that you can get options that are beyond (and tastier than) the standard avocado on toast. Get some Israeli and middle eastern flavours here. I've previously enjoyed their 485 plate and makhlama. Pictured my shakshuka here. Plenty of options for vegetarians and carnivores alike.

Eugenia Joe02:24 06/03/23
Honestly disappointed on the presentation. Coffee wasn’t great either.Shakshuka tasted really burnt, although the staff was extremely friendly.Breads pretty burnt and extra halloumi for $6 is utterly disappointing.Hollandaise sauce tasted pretty good thoNot quite sure why this place is famous.

Aditya Rana08:08 04/15/23
This is one of Surry Hill's best brunch places. We had the eggs benedict with ham served on a toasted croissant, which is their weekend special. They were delicious and the service was really nice and friendly. Would highly recommend checking this place out. They also make great coffee.

Wendy09:31 02/23/23
Busy friendly local cafe with a good vibe. My poached eggs were a bit too far on the hard boiled side but it the sourdough was well toasted and overall enjoyable. Great coffee however and the staff there nice.

Always happy to be back here. Coffee’s probably the best in the area. Baristas happy to help you pick the right beans for takeaway.Muffins are amazing. Only problem is they often get sold out 😂I hope they add some more food options, but the eggs benny is awesome, coming from someone who doesn’t like eggs Benny. Owner’s happy to chat.

Love this place!!!! The shop atmosphere is warm. seats are comfortable!!! The presentation of food is 10/10!!! Taste is great!!!! Highly recommended the Bolognese mince with toasts!!!! Inexpensive price. Big portion!!!The boss is a very nice and friendly gentleman. He goes to every tables to check if we are satisfied with our experiences. For sure will come again!!! Highly recommended!!! Must go place for food, photo and a nice atmosphere.

Jina K23:19 07/25/23
Coffee and food was great. But it was busy and crowded .. and the table was so small to enjoy the meals. Also the distance of the table was also very close, so we had to hold our stuff and outerwear so that others would not feel uncomfortable...

Sam Peek02:35 06/30/23
Overall just really disappointed. Food was good and so was the coffee. The ambiance is hit or miss.Prior to ordering I asked about Wifi, and was told they had it, and they advertise such. Unfortunately what they fail to tell you is that it is only for 20 minutes, and you cannot extend that amount. I had a few critical emails I had to get out after brunch, and would never have chosen this spot, had this been clearly communicated.I know you don’t want to turn into an “Internet cafe”, but you should provide more reasonable options, or be transparent. Such a shame, this place could have been a gem.

Debra Olson23:11 05/25/23
Loved it so much that we came back every morning to try something new! Heaps of veg and vegan options, and the coffee and pastries are amazing. Friendly team eager to chat and share but work quickly. They seem to be popular with the office workers nearby who popped in regularly (the staff knew many and greeted some by name). I wish this place were my neighborhood coffee place!

Friendly staff and spacious atmosphere/building. Ordered the reuben which was pretty tasty, although the bread was a bit chewy/crunchy for my tastes.

Best coffee and food I had in Sydney!!! Staff members were so nice as well! Their sabih is the BEST! Visited twice in my 9 day trip :)))

Spacious cafe with a lot of healthy options. Our Sabih was yummy. The hummus is not too oily or salty. Perfect! We also noticed the customer facing staffs here are so great! Kudos to the girl who took our orders. Definitely will come back again for the tasty food here. It's a gem!

Good meal selection, great coffee and the added benefit of table service. Easy access and good shelter on wet days. Convenient access to Epping Rd buses that leave immediately outside. A good range of seating options providing comfort for different meetings or dining on own.

L09:32 03/21/18
Upscale place and busy from morning. People enjoys chatting, meeting, working on laptop and dining alone. They separate take away queue and eating in so people can order smoothly. I ordered almond croissant and full milk latte. Even many queue they provide fast survice. Taste is great too.

We ate brunch here on a busy Sunday morning (they took our details and we came back when a table was ready). Food was delicious!! Definitely worth the wait!! There are indoor and outdoor options for seating and a large menu to choose your meal from, including separate brunch and lunch menus. Would definitely recommend this cafe!

Carla Koestanto12:07 07/18/23
Not going to lie this was not worth it... The food was very overpriced and bland at that. Maybe it was what I ordered but I did not enjoy it. The poke bowl was unseasoned and the sandwich was insanely overpriced. My chai latte was diluted. This place has a very nice vibe though, but personally the food was lacking. 😶

kittisit siriratbavorn14:17 07/04/23
The service, food, drinks, and ambiance were all first class, and could not be faulted. Thank you once again for a great morning Cafe at The Rocks ,Sydney. I would highly recommend this restaurant

Glen Pearce05:53 03/13/23
Busy Cafe located just at the Rocks in Sydney, circular quay. Really nice coffee. The food was good too, the Bacon could have been browned a bit more for my liking but overall, happy with the food, service and the ambience.

NotesTo TheOwner03:02 02/01/23
Over priced $22.50 for a small bowl of Beef Rendang. Zero flavour, a weird green colour, tough beef. I had to add salt, pepper and ask for chilli oil to even get any flavour from it. Rice was old, hard and clumped together. Shockingly bad food and even worse at this price point. Just another tourist trap in the Rocks. Green juice was $7.50 for a small glass. Seems like it was from a bottle not made fresh. Avoid.
