Such a good experience from start to finish, welcomed in as tourists, the owner helping us through the menu and directed us to a fantastic traditional Hong Kong breakfast. Whether it was the pineapple bun, French toast or breakfast noodles it was fantastic and the owner was happy to take a photo with us. Most authentic feeling meal we had.

PAMELA KHIU06:32 07/10/23
I genuinely loved the food here. They serve really tasty noodles, toast and milk teas / yuan yang. The only downside would be the seating. I wish they could expand it or make the seating more comfortable and they really need to do something with the ceiling as it was leaking... Other than that, it's definitely very affordable here and you are getting really good quality local food.

Pauline P06:00 07/03/23
Without a doubt, this place offers the best pineapple bun in Hong Kong. We visited for brunch, with my mom opting for their fried rice while I chose the fried noodles, similar to kway teow. The food was decent overall, but what stood out to me the most were the delicious bun and milk tea. I will certainly return to this place in the future.

Hui Juan So11:59 05/09/23
Egg tart was fragrant and smooth, the polo bun was nice with hint of orange/lemon peel taste? Quite unique and different from other polo bun I tried. Can probably skip the French toast, too oily in my opinion. Milk tea was good and iced lemon tea was refreshing on a hot day.

Rachel Louie12:24 04/17/23
So damn good! We ordered the custard tart, pineapple bun with the slab of butter inside, shredded pork with pickled veges and rice noodles soup, and egg sandwich. All delicious!Ordered iced coffee and tea, remember to get 1/2 sugar! It’s super sweet!

Comment in 2017: A hidden gem to foreigners, 99% customers are local here. You may try their curry and bread meal set with HKD60-70. They will provide you gloves to enjoy tearing the bread :)Comment in 2023: They remained the same price over years with reduced portion of meat, soup and sauce. Their iced coffee still tasted good.Be warned that the hygienic conditions is not too good and the entire food mall is self serviced.

Crispy 🍞 + creamy curry source and Tomato soup+ Strong taste iced coffee = delicious dinner

Jo Man14:38 10/20/19
Super yummy Curry farmer bread. The bread is crispy and soft inside and the curry taste rich. I chose pork strip this time but the beef brisket are far much more delicious! Their ice coffee is also famous for its rich taste but I must say it's a bit too sweet for me.

Brenda Tan17:43 11/01/18
Went twice already and always love the food here! Typical food court setting with many stalls, but this place is like a hidden gem! Had the beef curry bread bowl and pork chop bun! Beef is very tender and curry is really thick and tasty, more towards japanese curry taste! Gloves are provided for more tidy eating! Pork chop bun taste really good and both bread are very fresh! Tomato soup is also provided with set and its really refreshing and nice! The ice milk tea/yuan yang is also superb! Best find ever!

Our first stop after a 12+ hour flight to Hong Kong. It has been 4-5 years since my last visit, so naturally I was craving fried beef noodle and HK style milk tea! Any cha can teng with respect for itself has these two items on their menus and does them well! It’s good to be back!!!

Terry Wang09:51 05/19/23
Great Bolo Bao (Pineapple bun) served here. It's crispy and fluffy, with a slab of cold butter in the middle that melts in your mouth together with the bun. I would definitely recommend trying the Bolo Bao if you are around the area. Other dishes are okay, nothing to rave about.Overall nice breakfast place near Mong Kok station, worthy of a visit if you like Bolo Bao!

Lisan Yee07:43 11/12/22
great place to have tea time! fluffy bolo bao and no straws served with your ice drinks (good thing!)

HK-me K12:06 06/14/19
Food is nice, service is typical HK style rush rush. Buns are all freshly made and served warm. Love the egg tart. Curry chicken chop is nice and not too spicy, taste closer to Japanese curry. Baked seafood rice is served with generous amount of seafood. Kids friendly.

Nicholas Koh06:37 04/15/18
I had the best Bo Luo Bao in Hong Kong in Jia Ji Restaurant (I had gone around the area in search of good Bo Luo Baos).I have been to Kam Wah Cafe (which supposedly has better reviews) but their Bo Luo Bao was disappointing. The Bo Luo Bao in Jia Ji Restaurant is soft, fluffy and flavorful. It was recommended by our concierge in our hotel. Even the locals love it!The service is reasonably good and the dining area is conducive.

Just give it try once and experience the HK traditional breakfast.Other than that, well just once is enough.

Usually I go to the one at Heard Street, Wan Chai as my go-to hotel is within walking distance. But this one in Mong Kok is nearer this time.Ordered the same as I usually do here - Cheese Truffle Toast and Luncheon Meat & Egg Macaroni. There's something magical about macaroni soup in HK cha can teng. Such comforting breakfast food, especially on a rainy morning like today. They are famous for their fluffy creamy scrambled eggs, so most would order the Truffle Scrambled Egg Toast but I think the Cheese Truffle Toast is the understated one. Though they are less generous with the cheese and truffle now. In fact, the first one came with a strand of hair, and when I highlighted it to the staff, he was initially impatient, not seeing it. After he finally saw it, he just nodded and brought it back to the kitchen and have them replace it. Without apology.Wonder if they ever tried combining the 2, I think a cheese covered truffle scrambled eggs toast would be quite amazing too.

When in Hong Kong, eat like the locals…Macaroni Ham - HKD34Corned Beef Sandwich - HKD25Lemon Tea - HKD22

Ryan Fung09:55 02/05/23
One of my fav restaurants in HK with simple yet authentic food available right in the heart of the city!

Jane Gao01:17 12/13/22
Food was pretty average. What you would expect from a typical Hong Kong cafe. I ordered the baked pork chop on rice. The rice was nice. The portion for the pork chop was pretty big, but it was 63HKD. Overall taste was pretty good.I think they're known for their scrambled egg so probably will try that if I come back.

Mui Kee Congee is located on the 3rd floor of Municipal Services Building in Mongkok area. The first and second floors of Municipal Services Building are fish, meats, vegetables and fruites market while the third floor delicates for cooked food zone.Customers should prior make orders and pay at the counter first. Then a bill indicates your orders and ordering number will be given. Staff will assign a specific table/seat for you. This place is quite popular for tourists.I order Homemade Pork Meatballs Congee plus Fish Tripe. The congee texture is quite diluted. Pork meatballs are tasty and chewy while smoky aroma of Fish tripe which is quick stirred in brass pot is doninant noted. Congee comes with a heap of coriander and ginger. Its "Chinese Donut Rice Rolls" is also worth a try. Chinese Donut is very crispy. It goes perfect with both sweet soy sauce and chilli sauce.

An absolutely delicious bowl of 魚腩粥. The porridge has a 碳香味that is hard to forgot and the 魚腩is soft. The portion is generous. In addition, the 炸兩 is the best I have ever tasted. The 油條is soft yet crispy.

Their homemade pork balls are awesome. Porridge is just slightly watery but still it taste good! Ingredients used such as pork liver and fish belly are super fresh. Love their yao zhar kuai too! Best perfect match with their porridge. You can try their fish skin with finger+scallions as well as the century eggs with pickled ginger. Authentic.

Found this restaurant when wandering around MOKO. We were lucky that there was no queue and the waiters were super nice to explan the preparation time on some of the dishes. The highlight was definitely the pancakes, the coffee syrup does lack the coffee flavor and matches the Tiramisu pancake. It was surprisingly good, and we will definitely return to try other flavors. As for the main course, we went for something light. The chips were fresh but steak was a bit overcooked, however the quality of the beef saved the dish. The salad had a bit too much dressing but not bad overall. There were a lot of kids in the resturant which might cause a bit more noise then usual. The environment overall is enjoyable.

Cindy Ocean15:19 07/07/23
Food is good esp the salad and pancakes. It’s a crowded restaurant so don’t expect to have quiet conversations, plus the tables are too close together.

a great place to hangout for western food. pretty casual though staff were decent, they're not too attentive and frequently get the orders wrong. orders can take some time depending on what you order. the fish and chips was pretty good though a location that doesn't specialise in it.

Jo Man16:38 06/02/23
Nice place for quick meal. The fried chicken of Chicken Waffle is really good, but the waffle can be better. Chili Beef Fries is goid too, must try. I especially like the Homemade Lemonade.

Chloe Lai08:01 05/13/23
So good! Everything we ate was great. The tiramisu soufflé pancake was the best soufflé pancake we’ve had. We also had the nachos and fried prawns which were all very good as well. The coffees were decent. I had the iced latte with hazelnut syrup. The cappucino was not bad but like the rest of HK, coffee here is more milk heavy.

Went here a while ago for fish and chips and quite a lot has changed. There are more options on the menu. The fish and chips looked more or less the same as how I had them Tai Koo but they didn't have vinegar available like before. The chips were basically the oven chips which are still crispy so it was good.Finished with hot chocolate which had a rich cocoa taste served with a Christmas Tree shaped shortbread.

great cafe to pop into breakfast, lunch or supper. Easy to get to and the staff are always delightful. Avocado on Toast is my favourite

Right in front of the movie theaters entrance on 4th floor. A bit crowded. But this may be the norm in Hong Kong.

Kazaf Lee13:31 02/21/22
Chain coffee shop, so the food and coffee here are pretty standard. This shop is located at the far end of the mall on the high level floor, with less people than the others coffee shops downstairs on the day I visited.

Anita Ngai03:17 11/14/21
The coffee and food are standard, but the service is a problem. Not sure if it's the responsibility of the store management or the staff, but over the couple of hours I was there, there was only 1 staff and she was in the store for only 15 minutes. Otherwise, she was away from the store and just put up a "we will be back" sign. I saw at least 10 customers getting confused, waiting and then giving up and leaving. Not sure if the staff just decided to take a very long break or if the store management cut too many employees so that this staff was overworked.

Traveler06:42 12/22/19
Coffee was ok, service was kinda bad not friendly at all. There are better coffee shops around.

MOS Burger: Mountain Ocean Sun. Such a lovely Japanese hippy vibed fast food restaurant. My all time fave is the fish burger. Really haven’t tried much else on the menu. For me, this fish burger can’t be beat by any of its fast food competitors-and most of the slow food as well. It’s perfectly crisply breaded, surrounded by a sweet fluffy bun, bedded in tiny, sweetly sautéed onion cubes, and for a little guilt smothered in a sweet silky mayonnaise. Why not get the salad set for a healthier fast food option. They bring it right to your table too so no need to stand around the counter like a cow at feeding time in a barn. Don’t forget, they also have ginger ale here!

Vinci Mouse09:58 04/17/19
Very good burger. Well balanced. i recommend you to try the Wagyu OriginalYou also have big Salad set or pasta or rice...Multiple options. You have the menu at the counter that you can bring at your table so you can reserve your table before ordering. They won't give you the menu, you have to pick up at the counter but it's not written anywhere but it was how the waitress told me their services concept. The Wagyu Avocado burger is really tasty too
