We had a large group that took one whole side of the restaurant and the team working their took there time and were putting up with us. They were short handed but managed to get all our orders and anything else we needed. The food was good. The atmosphere was chill. The layout and design were awesome. We ate later in the evening around 8pm and there was no wait for a table. We sat outside on their patio which is very pleasant. Plenty or room and the restaurant is dog-friendly. There were many families eating in the patio that brought their dogs. All the dogs were well-behaved and it wasn’t an issue. Food tasted great and was reasonably priced. Fish and chips that I had was very well portioned. I was stuffed! My wife had the walleye fish tacos that she loved! Very enjoyable experience dining here. Enjoy! KJ03:03 06/23/23Go for happy hour! But with that in mind, my good experiences is why giving it a 3 star instead of lower, but I was pretty disappointed today despite enjoying it in the past and even recommending the place/dish to friends.I don’t know if they had changed their recipe or if it was just a different cook and it was a busy day, but my birria tacos today came out really dry. It was clear the cook didn’t dip it in the sauce & cooked it on the stove like most places do and how I’ve had it here in the past. I ended up asking for an additional side of the birria sauce and even that didn’t help give flavor/tenderness to the tacos. As you can see in the picture with this review, I poured both of the sauce on the tacos. The meat inside also didn’t look like it had any sauce on it or tasted like it was cooked in the sauce.I think my hostess noticed I didn’t quite enjoy it, but didn’t really ask and it’s on me that I didn’t follow up to let them know the differences I noticed. Regardless, I’m hoping that this isn’t a consistent thing that’ll happen in the future because I do really like this place and it’s close to where I live. My partner’s dish was delicious and we enjoyed that, but I ended up leaving the place pretty hungry since I was only able to pick out some of the fillings inside the taco and I didn’t want to come off as a Karen by asking for something else/for it to be redone. The beers are very good and the menu has a myriad of tasty options. I probably wouldn't get the Walleye tacos again though. They were incredibly spicy and difficult to finish. My company order bone in wings they got boneless wings and the bone in wings took so long to finally come out after the mishap.Atmosphere is vibrant with lights and music but energy is dull and dim.Server did help get my wings taken off but after giving us bill already. And I asked for free game credit of some sort for the issues and instead she ledgered the wings.So it was a win but a long loss at the same time. The taste of the food would bring me back. I hadn’t had high expectations and went in thinking it’d be a chicken stripped/pizza vibe. The truffle fries and nachos were delicious and great for sharing, perfect together for a table of 8. The nachos were very light on toppings though. I had a salmon chimichurri rice bowl (pictured). The salmon itself was some of the best I’ve had in the twin cities, the rest of the bowl was just okay in comparison.The restaurant itself was so loud we couldn’t even hear the server when she’d be next to us. It was like some kind of industrial sound, not really kids or people. Additionally, there was such a strong cold freeze coming from the ceiling that it was blowing the drink menus, very chilly in the dining section. The service was good but pretty slow for only having 3-4 tables seated. I'm sure there are better options on the menu but for the price I expected a bit better.The "Grande Aioli" seemed like everything was out of a box from the grocery store. Undersized muscles and small, Kroger-esque cocktail shrimp. It was really lacking a sauce or, ironically, aioli because everything was dry and unseasoned.The bacon cheese bread was better. The space is warm and cozy, and we were able to get a high top table in the front window area. We liked the many options for wines by the glass, and were able to try a few unique varietals. The food was also good, and we enjoyed the tuna tartare, bruschetta, and apple and fig flatbread (which was brought out by mistake, but the waitress was quick to comp it for us). There's a dining room, bar, party room, and outside terrace with a fire pit. The area fits the company of the food which is the star. My last visit the customer service was suburb! We didn't feel rushed or neglected. I think adding bigger TV's in the bar area would be a hit. Not sure if they want just a taste of fandom in the bar area or being open to a sports take over. I know their other locations have a bigger TV/sports presence, they may reserve this location for elegance. The food is phenomenal, I wish they had better dessert. My experience that it was prepped with as much care as the food is. That's not something that would make me skip this place but something on my wishlist. They are known for their sushi and for good reason. There are so many other many items to choose from so everyone should be able to get what they want. You can’t go wrong with this place. We got truffle fries as an appetizer, very good along with the sauce. For entrees we ordered the garlic lemon chicken and lobster mac and cheese. The lemon garlic chicken was outlined in different parts of the menu so I expected the quality Ive had at similar restaurants. However, the chicken was not tender and fall apart. It was actually really hard to cut and so was the broccolette, I guess that’s why it came with a steak knife. The best part of the chicken entree was the butter sauce, that was the main source of flavor. The lobster mac and cheese also needed seasoning however it had nice size pieces of lobster. Everything we ordered was delicious and cooked perfect! I ordered the Lemon Garlic Chicken and it had the best garlic butter sauce I’ve ever tried! A must try on their menu! The restaurant was very modern and beautiful as well and the ambiance was dark and relaxing! Service was top notch also! I’ll def return the next time I’m in town! Go check them out, you won’t be disappointed! ❤️
