I had emailed the place for info and got a pretty prompt reply......this is Bali, prompt isn't usually in the vocabulary. Well, I'm glad that we tried out the MPS as we had a damn good time.The food that we had was great (beef quesadilla, Texas chilli) and we had started with the chilli taster bowl (my words, not theirs) and were pleasantly surprised. After that we ordered more food! Did it take a long time? Sure, but we were pre-warned that it would be a lengthy wait. We did end up asking if the food was on its way and we were given a pleasant response and the kitchen was checked, the food came not long after. Was a 45 minute wait an issue for a good hot meal? Hell no.The drinks selection here is phenomenal especially if you prefer something other than the usual Bintang bir. The porter is excellent if you like a good dark beer and it's excellent with the Texas chilli. My only critique with the chilli is that it needs more heat, but I know that most westerners in Bali can't handle anything beyond mild. So maybe it could be served up with a bottle of Tabasco or some sliced chilli's for those of us that aren't pussies. But, back to the beer....there are some great choices and the prices are reasonable especially for craft beers and imports.This place is pretty big with a good amount of entertainment on the screens and on the pool tables etc. I'm keen to have a go at the axe throwing, but maybe next time and before the beers. The music here is a great blend that reflects the setting, I felt right at home with a good mix of country, southern rock, soul and blues etc.If this place is not for you then it's not for you but don't whine and moan about the temperature, slow service and so on. If you expect western standards etc, go to a Western country for your holiday. Saw this place on google and had a good laugh reading all the reviews…had to come check it out. Everyone is too high strung and loves to complain, this place is a exactly what you expect. Drinks and pool. Had a few drinks, played some pool. Atmosphere is chill. My only complaint is that it was cash only but in the end not that big of a deal. Cool place. But, the beer is kind of pricey and you have to pay for every single game. I would go there everyday if the pool tables were free or if they had a happy hour. For me it doesn't make any sense to charge so much for a pool table, if it was free people would keep playing and spending money on beer and the bar would be full, which is not the case. This club can even be visited in the day as it has a pool available in which you can chill, party and relax.The best thing we observed was even the old age foreigners were enjoying. One old age uncle was throughly enjoying on the dance floor and when i saw him, i decided that my old age should be like this only.Enjoy your life and live it to the fullest because life doesn’t gives you a second chance. We Indians are entrapped in the loop of 9am to 5 pm jobs and then kids, their future, savings and all the life problems and in all this, we forget to enjoy our own life.Seeing all this, i have decided i will do one International trip every year and two to three Domestic trip with my life partner. I can't escape from their charm. Of all the live performances in Ubud, I want to say that it is of course the best. I personally didn’t like the cocktails I got, Pina colada was strong and basically just coconut and no pineapple. I then tried a ginger lychee martini (I think) and it was absolutely vile. However, my friends had more luck with their drinks but we all agreed you could definitely taste the alcohol in them.The place has a really good vibe, the band is really good and service was good. The lead singer is mostly Bob Marley with a touch of Sean Paul and the odd slipknot 😅. Everyone is super friendly, staff and patrons alike. You can chill outside in the back, play pool, enjoy the music in the front, and they have a DJ after the band in a separate room. It's very loose, get drunk, dance, have fun.
