Only ordered coffee, it was okay. Nothing spectacular. I like that they are pet-friendly. Their alfresco dining area is nice, where you can chill while looking at the beach.

Angelica Albano20:02 08/04/23
Their Ohana Burger and Big Breakfast is highly recommended. The chicken that came with the Big Breakfast pancakes was juicy and crispy. Their brewed iced still is equally good. Their cafe mocha was a bit disappointing, lacked bit of sweetness and seemed flat. Unsure if that was intentional. Heads up that the dining style is self-service. You need to order and pick-up food from their counters. The kitchen is separate from their cafe counter. Staff will only redirect you if you asked for help from the incorrect counter and are a bit dismissive. With combo meals, they don’t allow drink replacements. Overall was a good dining experience. The food was definitely the highlight. Just wish they were more flexible with food combos.

I recently visited Clean Beach Restaurant in La Union and here's what I experienced. Arrived a bit early at 6:45AM, only to find out they open at 7AM. Tried asking if we could hang out at the beach front area while waiting, but sadly, they said no.As we waited for our food, I spotted a couple of staff members taking a smoke break. Not a big deal, except they went straight back to work without washing their hands - a real hygiene issue for me.On the plus side, the food was fantastic and the prices seemed fair. However, our meal was interrupted by the noise and dust from someone using a small jackhammer in the restaurant. It was quite off-putting to have dust flying around while we're trying to eat, especially on a Sunday!Overall, the food was the high point of our visit. If they can work on their service and maybe schedule their maintenance on non-operating hours, this place could be a real gem. I hope they take these points into consideration for future improvements.

Been here a couple of times already. I keep coming back just for the Kaya Toast. I’ve tried some of their meals but they’re mid.Ambiance is great, open area and a very chill place to spend time with your friends/family.

Nice place to chill and chat with your SO’s. They have delicious coffee, too.📌Brapp 9/10 - guess i’m just not into iced blended beverages.📌Breakfast Cafe Latte 10/10 sarap!!!!

I had the pleasure of visiting this place and I must say, it's a hidden gem! Not only was the breakfast meal absolutely delicious, but the ambiance was great too. Their place offers a good number of charging spots, making it perfect for remote workers like myself. The wifi connection was also strong and reliable, which is a huge plus. The service was friendly and the food was made fresh to order. The portion size was generous and the flavors were perfectly balanced. I was able to enjoy my meal and get some work done in a comfortable and welcoming environment.Overall, I highly recommend this food stall for anyone looking for a delicious meal, reliable wifi connection, and great ambiance. It's a perfect spot for remote workers or anyone who wants to enjoy a tasty breakfast while getting some work done. 5 stars!

Addi Dela Cruz01:18 03/06/23
Love the cool, easygoing vibe here because of the hip, retro interiors. They have a self-service policy, and a lot of patrons stay to work. Their coffee was perfect, and food was good and reasonably priced. The seating area is right across a nice spot by the beach, which easily makes it one of the best hangout spots in Surf Town. I'm happy to come back!

Interior & exterior: 5/5 - the view itself is relaxingFood: 3/5 - small serving for the price. Taste is not exceptional but normal. Coffee, tea & hot chocolate served were not hot.Price: 3/5 - expensive but the view compensatesCustomer service: 2/5 - it’s self service so we didn’t receive any customer service aside from parking. Clean as yo go is practiced.Location: 5/5 - near almost everything. Just by the beach which really is stunning!

(visited March 2022)Our first restaurant when we arrived in La Union and it did not disappoint. It was packed with the weekend crowd but they have a well coordinated, friendly staff to assist people and get seats. The food was really good, I especially loved the kaya toast and even ordered a jar to bring home. Definitely get the big serving if you're a group of people because it's so good. The food is Manila prices, but the servings are huge. The coffee is also really good, and they have fun non-coffee options to try too.The vibe is chill, with an open-air concept by the beach, and the place is pet-friendly. We went there again in the afternoon and it was nice to sit by the bean bags in the sand.Parking is difficult though, you'll probably have to park somewhere else because it gets full easily.

Renz Erika08:29 06/01/22
Vibe, check. Coffee, check. Food, check. This establishment is located beach-front, equipped with fast wifi connection so it’s also perfect for work.Pet-friendly. Earth conscious. They’re sustainable too! The business is powered by solar energy which is awesoooomeDuring a friend’s event, I had the chance to order the menu and tasted a bit of everything 🫶🏾 here’s a peek to what the dishes look like!

Leny Grace Garcia05:05 04/05/22
The place is nice and cozy. I was not able to tour the whole place because there were a lot of people. 😅 The staff are nice and accommodating. However, I was not pleased with the drink that I have ordered which is the Vanilla Shake. It was too sweet for my liking. 😅 Also, the Caesar salad, too ordinary for its price of P200. I am still looking forward to revisit this place soon and try their other dishes and drinks. 🍃

Real Customer Reviews at El Union Coffee:

Kim Alonzo02:41 07/09/23
Stopped by El Union coffee in La Union recently and here are my thoughts. We ordered 4 drinks and a grilled cheese sandwich. The staff was courteous and attentive, which was a nice touch. However, when our first two drinks arrived, we noticed dirty fingerprints on the cups, which was quite disappointing. We then realized that our other two drinks were taking a bit longer than expected. Upon asking, we were told those orders weren't even processed yet - another disappointment.I found the coffee to be pricey considering the overall quality. The staff was knowledgeable and attentive, but there's room for improvement when it comes to attention to detail. Despite these issues, the overall experience was generally okay. Hope they consider this feedback and make necessary improvements.

We’re arrived at El Union Coffee ☕️Technically, this place are the most top search at La Union.Full of Gen Z, coffee taste good, food has good quality as well. Was ordered coffee latte hot, americano iced, and grilled cheese with bacon.. 🤤Be ready to in line before you pick your coffee. This place never goes empty.

April Villegas00:22 06/21/23
Near the shore of San Juan Beach is where El Union Coffee is located. The coffee shop is surrounded by many other food stalls which you also might want to consider on your visit.El Union Coffee is not so big but it's aesthetic and instagrammable. Expect a couple of minutes of waiting time as tourists never tick El Union Coffee off their bucket lists. As to our experience, it was worth the wait. The smell of freshly brewed coffee fills the air. Not to mention that they also have an extensive menu, offering customers breakfast options and delightful meals. If you're in La Union, don't miss the chance to try out their products!

Zerudite10:02 04/25/23
A hidden pearl along the shores of the once sleepy town of San Juan, El Union Coffee has blossomed into a bustling hotspot for coffee enthusiasts and foodies alike. With a humble beginning as a coffee shack, this cozy café has transformed into a committed supporter of small-scale coffee farmers, sourcing their beans directly without middlemen. My experience at El Union Coffee was delightful, albeit the long wait times due to the surging popularity of the place. But the food and coffee were worth the patience. The aroma of freshly brewed coffee filled the air as I sipped on their specialty brews sourced from local farmers in the northern Philippines. The care and transparency in their direct trade with coffee-farming communities truly stood out.The menu offered a delightful range of options for both coffee and food lovers. I indulged in their scrumptious lunch options, savoring the flavors of their thoughtfully crafted dishes. The blend of locally sourced ingredients and innovative flavors was truly a treat for my taste buds.El Union Coffee's commitment to supporting local farmers and their future plans of setting up their own farm is truly commendable. The passion and dedication of the team, including their alumni turned coffee entrepreneurs, is evident in every sip and bite.If you're in La Union, a visit to El Union Coffee is a must. Be prepared for the crowds, but rest assured that the food and coffee will leave you craving for more. A culinary experience that will awaken your senses and leave you with a taste of the Philippines' rich coffee culture. 4 stars!

IF YOU ARE VISITING LA UNION, YOU SHOULD NOT MISS THIS OUT. QUEUE AT YOUR OWN RISK, BUT IT'S WORTH IT.Out of the drinks we've ordered in our group, the one I bought was rated best. It was the classic "Cold Brew Latte" everything else tasted great, but this stood out.Enjoy!

Maysheen Tiu08:11 07/27/22
Still the best place to dine in LU, in my honest opinion. The coffee is good, even the food is good. The place can get packed though, so be willing to wait in line. Don't fret as their system is very efficient, you're right at the counter in no time. Be mindful on their break times! And they also close early.

Jaye Aleta07:45 05/17/22
It’s best to line up as early as 7am to beat the crowds of people lining up for their coffee and food. Although we wanted to try their smores, they were sold out (or permanently taken off their menu? Unsure), so we opted for the french toast and grilled cheese.Food was great, the grilled cheese hit just the right spot, especially if you’re looking for some comfort food. French toast was good but may be too sweet for some. Coffee is good, we tried their dirty horchata and it was okay. Their beans are quite expensive if you want to take some home.Other than the long line of people, the ambience and “vibe” of the place was relaxed and homey. Not a lot of seats inside but you can go around the area as there are seats nearby. Additionally, service was quick and efficient.Cellular signal is also weak around the area, but I think they have wifi if you ask.Overall great experience and would recommend you try it at least once while in the area.

Danielle Veluz01:19 05/15/22
"Why go all the way to La Union for coffee and grilled cheese??" The answer is- why not?? One thing I will say though is that the grilled cheese sandwiches here are magic. Fresh brioche -like bread, a rich and generous layer of melted decadent mozzarella and cheddar cheese, all encased in a shiny toasty buttery crust. The sandwich is worth lining up 30 minutes for, which was the case for our party. The coffee, not so much. If you're up and about try to beat the crowd as early as 7am as lines will already start to form for 8am opening hour. I will recommend this but I hesitate to say "highly" 😂

One of the most visited coffee house in San Juan, La Union. My fav is their Vietnamese iced coffee. They also serve Vietnamese food and all day pinoy breakfast.

Jan11:28 07/21/23
Had a quick coffee run when we came here on our first day in elyu. Place was along the highway so it was a bit noisy on the area. Iced spanish latte and lu latte was good! Caramel macchiato was too sweet for our liking.

Jillius Garrido12:16 06/08/23
I love this place! It is just sad that we came here on our last day in La union. We just had a quick morning coffee here but because of the vibes we chose to stay a little bit longer. It has a cozy/homey vibes which is what I am looking for a coffee shop! The combination of wood and high ceiling feels like home. The staff are accommodating and the service is great. They have free and fast Wi-fi.Definitely will go back here!

Jay Bryan13:08 05/23/23
Last time I was here was before the pandemic, but it's great to be back! Unfortunately when we were here, power interruptions were happening in San Juan. The coffee shop itself was affected it was hot as there was no AC running. Windows were open to atleast mitigate the heat.Despite all of these the staff attended to our needs in the most professional way.Food were served hot and iced coffees were served cold! Food Presentations were okay.I personallt ordered the Smokey Tinapa and as a tinapa lover it was superb! The Smokey Tinapa flavor is not too much! You can enjoy and appreciate the flavor. The Iced Spanish Latte is also superb.Prices were okay with the serving size, taste, and presentationMust try in San Juan!

Ai G14:27 03/07/23
Interior is a 5, ambiance is a 5, price is definitely a 5! My favorite was the cheeseburger & Pho Ga, i recommend those! We also ordered seafood marinara & buffalo wings which was sweet so we didn’t really like it. The pasta smoky tinapa was really good though!

Nathan Mawhinney06:45 11/19/22
Loved this place. Will hopefully come back soon. We got baby back ribs and a sisig rice bowl. The food was easily a 10/10. Tasted great. The staff were very friendly and the place has a great atmosphere. Recommend highly.

☕ 🍵 Coffee - they just opened and we were lucky enough to choose the place to sit. Went here just to grab coffee. Ice matcha mocha is good for me 💚 🤎👨‍🍳👩‍🍳 Staff - very accommodating and friendly.📍 Place - easy access on the main road and the place has 2 floors which adds a few more seats upstairs. They have a great ambiance, also loved the interior, it really is a coffee library. They also provide Wi-Fi, and have plugs 🔌 which is a great place to work, and/or to chill out with your friends and family. But the place only have limited parking space.

Alexis08:26 07/06/22
(visited March 2022)Pleasantly surprised by this place! We were looking for a place to have lunch and found this place. Coffee is good and refreshing, and the food was much better than expected. Enjoyed the turon and the chorizo pizza, and even the noodles.Serving staff was friendly and accomodating, service was fast. It was easy to get a seat. And aircon!

Leighvanz Roderno05:06 06/02/22
Experience is above expectation. We've visited this place 3 out of 4 days stay in Elyu. Coffee is much better than El Union. Food serving is great. Just an FYI though, they close the kitchen if there are bulk orders so expect that you cannot order any food. So better ask them first before you order so that you know how long is the waiting time. They are very accomodating and the place is nice and spacious. They serve vietnamese coffee as well. A must try!

I love the ambiance of the place. The place is crowded during the morning. Their tapsilog is tasty and affordable. Though the serving is quite small.

I had the surfer's meal for only 159php! At first I didn't wanna go in because the decors looks good it gave me the vibe that the food was on the expensive side. But its worth your money! Could have been 5 stars kung hindi lang masyadong malasa yung pagkain. Masarap sya yes, hindi sila nagtitipid pero yun nga parang nadamihan ng soysauce? Oyster sauce? Maybe just adjust your pampalasa and it would be perfect. Will about to go back to try your coffee naman ☕

Chelsea D12:13 02/02/19
My husband and I stopped here every day. Sometimes it was for their delicious milk tea or iced cold blueberry lemonade. Other times we sat down for a delicous affordable meal. In the picture is their sizzling chicken for 99p.

I like this place. The dining area is clean and air-conditioned. The interior decorations are nice. They specialize in milktea. Theirs are really good. Some customers keep coming back. They also serve other foods like sandwiches and finger foods. It is close to schools and city center.

Cozy and relaxing ambiance. I love how they designed their cafe especially the painting of leaves on the wall - perfect for picture taking. I also appreciate the wooden clocks on the other side of their walls, very aesthetic. ✨ I love every corner of this cafe! As for their foods, their classic carbonara and aglio e olio taste so good! We’ve finished our plates. In addition, V-Combo Set A is fully loaded, it’s worth more than its price. 👌🏻 The drinks we’ve ordered are superb. And the best thing is that, all of these are really affordable! I highly recommend this cafe. 🤍
