There are 2 rooms in Zouk - one with a larger dance floor and another that’s just mainly for drinking and sitting. Overall both rooms are quite cold, but should warm up once there are more people and you start dancing.The music is quite typical clubbing music so that’s fine.As with all clubs in Singapore, most people don’t dance. The atmosphere is crazy, great, music options are ALWAYS great. The lighting is beautiful, and the drinks are great. Speaking of drinks, the bartenders are great and always have interesting things to say. It’s a bit expensive here, but overall, if you can afford it, it’s amazing and I highly recommend partying here, it drowns out the nerves. If you’re in the mood but don’t have as much to burn, I recommend their sister club, Phuture. Chose this bar because it was one of the few bars open on a Tuesday.We came dressed in dresses and skirts and jeans. There wasn’t too bad of a crowd of business dressed older crowd of 30-40+ by 1am.I didn’t plan my flight very well and fly out the next day but it was a nice club with a doable dance floor. They played some club music and then the diverse live band came singing 80’s then a mix of 2010 pop hits. They were very versatile some members doing both singing and playing instruments switching off for different songs. They crowd loved it!The bathrooms are very clean and nice. Not sticky and well lit. The toilet and sink are all automatic.For a Tuesday it was a nice little night. We got Singapore sling drinks that I drank pretty fast and were sweet but tasty. However it was quite dark and slippery in some areas. There were 3-5 DJs on rotation so the night had a good mix of music, which I really liked. They played old school rnb, pop, kpop, cpop, hardstyle, edm. Cost around $40 AUD with 1 free drink voucher (ticket purchased at the door) on a Saturday night. If you get tired, nowhere just to sit down for a while cos those are only for VIPs.Despite that, the music selection was on point, and the dance floor was lively but too small. I had a blast dancing to the tunes with my friends, but it was hard to ignore the feeling that those sitting at the tables were watching us as if we were performers on a stage.Also, the staff was unfriendly and arrogant.Overall, my experience at Marquee club was a mix of ups and downs. It was very suffocating and they kept pushing aggressively. Also the Malay bouncers did not let us go out from the front. We really couldn’t go in because it was really suffocating. I think they should have let us go from the front as it was really crowded. Also please increase your air conditioning 😭😭. Overall it was a good night. Also want to thank a Chinese bouncer for giving my friends a chair to sit down. We are back and queue again for drinks but he (same bartender as we met first time) declined to serve us because we don’t have glass, we try to explain he not even listen us just say if no glass no more drink until another bartender come and ask him what happen? Then he service us and blame us “you made me a problem my manager scold me” omg Is my fault? After that free flow almost be over (12.00) so we queue for last drink around 11.50 pm when we turn, we put the glass and order but the bartender(same guy) he immediately come to us and keep our glass and say free flow over, he give the girls in front us but not give us, How you feel? We argue with him till his manager come again I know he just want to stop the situation by give us drinks but we very upset with this rude bartender. However the last drinks is the fourth, absolutely we’re not drunk!Thank you the manager.However the music was fun. The price is cheaper and the girls are not so demanding.Besides, the staffs are terrible. They are not well trained and just anything may happen there.
