If there was an award for the worst nightclub experience ever, Sound Nightclub would be the undisputed winner.To begin with, the bouncers at this club seemed to believe they held the power to rule the world. They couldn't care less if you had a valid ticket or not; they relished in their ability to discriminate against innocent partygoers. It appears that their primary interest lies in extorting money from unsuspecting individuals just to gain entry into an overly crowded nightmare of a venue.Once you somehow managed to slide them a wad of cash, you would expect some semblance of enjoyment inside. Oh, how wrong you would be. Sound Nightclub was so astonishingly packed to capacity that it felt like being crammed into a sardine can. The lack of ventilation and the overwhelming heat made it impossible to breathe comfortably. It's mind-boggling how this place passes any sort of safety regulations.Furthermore, the hype surrounding Sound Nightclub is completely unwarranted. There is no justification for the excessive promotion and glorification of this establishment. The whole experience left me questioning why anyone would subject themselves to such torment willingly.In conclusion, I urge everyone to steer clear of Sound Nightclub. Save yourself the trouble, frustration, and disappointment of encountering the atrocious behavior of the bouncers and the suffocating atmosphere inside. There are plenty of other venues out there that actually value their patrons and provide an enjoyable experience. Sound Nightclub is an overrated, money-hungry establishment that I will never set foot in again, and I strongly advise against anyone else doing so as well. There’s room to dance if you know where to stand. There’s big edm names( deadmau5 played there in January 2023). Sound system is great. I think it’s a good venue. I've been to countless clubs all over the world, from Ibiza to Berlin to Vegas and beyond, and I can easily say that Sound punches way above its weight. The staff are very friendly and the crowd is great. The layout of the club is perfect with the VIP tables nicely to the sides of the dancefloor and not taking up too much space or getting in the way like they would in some of the big VIP focused clubs. The dancefloor size is perfect for the size of the venue and the Pioneer sound system is top class. I think the lighting setup is amazing yet so simple with the lamps/lanterns adding a very mystical feel to the room. The smoking area is also very cool and the layout of the club means that there's never any bottleneck areas when it gets busy. $8 for a beer is also great value for the location. There is a steady stream of top class house talent rolling through the club each month and around $20 for entry is a bargain.Overall I'm so happy to have an amazing club like Sound within driving distance and I'm constantly looking forward to the next big night there. A fight broke out in the club and another fight broke out across the street from the venue but noone made a move to contact law enforcement or stop the fight.The venue overall is pretty big and I enjoyed the setup but that was it. For general admission there is plenty of uncomfortable seating all the way on top where the view is great however your behind will by numb by the end of the show. They host many events that cater to dancing, concerts, and the like. But the reason I go is to see Lucha VaVoom, which is a lucha libre styled caucus of mayhem that only occurs four times in the year: Valentine's, Cinco de Mayo, Summer, and Halloween. The place looks really nice and its pretty fun with a big group of friends. If you didn't get a table, be prepared to dance all night for 3-4 hours! The only complaint I have is drink prices, but then that's the price of almost every club. Drinks were 15 and up, which is pretty high but oh well! The facility has two Parking was good, as there is a parking lot adjacent to the building pricing is between $40 to $50 for VIPIt was a pleasure visiting the historic Hollywood Live-Music Venue.
