I had some time to kill and decided to pop in to the May Fair Bar to get a drink from this modern, upscale hotel cocktail bar. I followed the waiter's recommendation on drinks and had a good experience. The prices are pretty high—around £18 per drink—but the drinks are good.

High-end bar with music, perfect to hangout after work. Nice selection of signature cocktails and wines. They also have Spanish inspired nibbles. Cocktails cost around 18 pounds.

I like the set up of the bar. Nice music. Very well located considering all the restaurants in the area. So pretty easy to stop for one cocktail. Also a very good selection of cocktails.

A stylish up market bar with prices to match. Very trendy interior design and I found the chairs comfortable. The staff were friendly and attentive. I enjoyed my two cocktails and a small serve of crispy chilli calamari. A lovely place to meet up for pre dinner or theatre drinks with friends.

We are so glad we discovered Manetta's Bar on the last day of our London trip. Possibly the best cocktail bar we have ever been to. A beautiful room, amazing cocktails, very nice bartenders and the cocktail menu was lovely. Mannetta's history is really interesting. Authors and spies hung out here.

Cranrine20:55 04/15/23
Good cocktail, atmosphere and service! Green Negroni contains midori liqueur (melon flavoured liquer) but it was not as sweet as expected in a positove way - subtle sweetness with classic negroni's bitterness. Other cocktail was also nice too. Would love to come back here to try other negronis.

Preston Locher20:49 06/03/22
Absolutely amazing food and drinks! I started with the Braised Pork Belly with the Three Lives cocktail. Then on to the Truffle and Parmasean Fries with the Exiles cocktail. And to finish, the Vanilla Panna Cota with a Latte. Wouldn't change a thing. The Exiles cocktail was incredible, like nothing I've had before. Panna Cota was worth it, 100%. The braised Pork Belly was so good, I could've eaten another serving. The team was so kind and helpful. Would definitely recommend a visit.

If you want a decent cocktail or more, come here! We loved this bar!! Will be back :)Bartender made my husband very happy as cocktails quality were great! We had 3 drinks: Yellow negroni , Martinez , Corpse Reviver No. 2

Fantastic experience at Manetta's Bar. We visited on a Tuesday evening for some birthday drinks and nibbles. Service was impeccable and staff extremely polite and respectful. The place is wonderfully decorated and away from the fuss of the city. It is the perfect environment to relax and unwind. I ordered an Aperol Spritz 🍹 which was stunning; my partner had a Negroni and a beer 🍻- both lovely! We arrived fairly hungry and staff re-filled snacks for us twice (thank you!). As a plus, nobody was there during our time at Manetta's, so we had the whole space for ourselves. What a luxury! Thank you so much for your attentive service - we had a wonderful time and we will definitely be back! 100% recommended!

The drinks are very good. They take classics and add their twist to them. Highly recommend the signature martini (gin) and the good fellas (whiskey)

Herald H21:15 07/31/23
Great service. Maybe I didn’t order the signatures? The No11 is popular but heavy for me - in the taste of vodka. And I got dizzy after the drink. Oh btw the price for single cocktail is 24-28 £

AN08:14 07/30/23
Beautiful setting for a stunning drinks experience. Rated as of the best bars in the world and you can see why!You can’t book so we turned up around 6.30pm and were initially made to stand at the bar but were quickly given a seat. The menu is extensive with different and innovative cocktails. The bar staff are incredible and they provide a free welcome cocktail & free snacks (which are constantly replenished).Little touches such as a recipe card for the cocktail you drank at the end of your night are also thoughtful and memorable.Tip: if you want a cocktail with a show order a martini!

Alejandro Salas16:15 06/10/23
The Connaught Bar boasts an exceptional cocktail menu curated by talented mixologists. Each drink is a work of art, meticulously crafted with attention to detail and a perfect balance of flavors. The bartenders' expertise and passion shine through in every sip, making for a truly unforgettable drinking experience. Whether you're a fan of classic cocktails or adventurous concoctions, the Connaught Bar has something to satisfy every palate. While my overall impression of the Connaught Bar was overwhelmingly positive, there was one disappointing aspect of the evening—the rudeness of the bouncer at the entrance. Unfortunately, his demeanor left a sour note on an otherwise exceptional experience. It is disheartening when the first interaction of the night is marred by a lack of courtesy and professionalism. I hope the management takes note of this issue and ensures that every guest is greeted with warmth and respect. The Connaught Bar's martinis are simply divine. From the perfectly chilled glasses to the premium selection of spirits, every element is carefully chosen to create a martini that is second to none. The bartenders' expertise shines as they effortlessly mix and stir, creating a drink that is both smooth and potent. If you're a fan of martinis, the Connaught Bar is an absolute must-visit, as their rendition will undoubtedly leave you craving for more.It is important to be aware of the steep prices associated with this level of luxury. While the bouncer's rudeness was regrettable, it did not overshadow the overall excellence of the establishment.

Emma Mindel17:27 03/28/23
An absolute experience and one of the highlights of our London visit! Attentive and kind service, great ambiance and the best gin martinis we've ever had. Highly recommend trying their signature gin. We visited on a weeknight and it was fairly busy, but there were always a couple tables open and no line. I'm sure it gets very busy on the weekends!

Real Customer Reviews at The Luggage Room:

Andrew Cartwright21:05 04/26/23
Tried out the Luggage Room after a conference nearby - looks like they are having some building work done outside, we tried the entrance but wasn't open so went in via the hotel entrance. Its not a massive area and when you go in it sort of goes round in an L shape with the bar to your left and then seating along the side and round the corner (with a raised area at end).Staff were really good at sending out nibbles, and collecting glasses etc. Drinks were good - ones I had were not the best I have ever had, but still nice. As it is a small area it can be a little tight moving around if busy, and the noise can get pretty loud. I liked it and glad I visited but not to the point that I must go again tomorrow or anything (although if someone else is paying... 😉 )

Magnus Carlen01:22 02/25/23
We had an excellent experience at the Luggage Room, with knowledgeable staff and top notch drinks! We entered the establishment with high expectations based on previous reviews and based pn the fact the my girlfriend and I run a restaurant with a bar pf our own- the drinks did not disappoint. Well balanced drinks with clear taste profiles and special blends make this the excellent destination for post-restaurant drinks tp finish off the evening. Unfortunately the main door was closed to the bar, and as a result we had to enter through the hotel entrance, but the overall vibe of this speakeasy bar was intimate and relaxed allowing for soft and good private conversations. The bar is classic in its design with a lot of wood and a stone counter giving off a relaxed and high-end impression upon the overall experience. Drinks are priced on the higher end- but absolutely meet expectations with hand carved ice, great bartending techniques and fine craftsmanship of tje cocktails. The only thing missing to add to this experience would be a better presentation of the drinks- but that would just be a cherry on the top. Payed £170 for 8 drinks 👌

A. Aliano16:06 02/20/23
An amazing classy location with very nice staff, who can mix tasty drinks for you. The atmosphere was awesome. We say thank you!

Jordane M08:36 11/13/19
The inner decor was lovely, really well put together. Unfortunately 3 of the 4 cocktails we tried weren't to our taste. And the bar wasn't particularly hidden away, not really a secret feel with the big glowing sign above the door. The toilets were miles away through the labyrinth of halls to the hotel. The cocktails were really quite expensive, but there were an extensive range to try. Really lovely staff, attentive and friendly. Got a booking really last minute which was nice 🙂 Really quick and easy to book from their website.

Andreea Florina13:21 05/10/18
Discreet bar tucked away in the bowels of the Marriott.1920's theme, centered around a substantial wooden bar, dimly lit and beautifully decorated in the style of the period. We only stopped for one drink due to other commitments but the cocktails we chose were very pleasant. Certainly go back for a second and maybe a third another time.

Lovely place, beautiful cocktails and fantastic service from the Italian manager.

Stian Bjørnøy11:59 07/19/23
Great drinks, an elegant atmosphere, and professional waiters. The Donovan is home to the world's oldest and most expensive drink, which packs over 700 years into a glass, including cognac from 1788, setting you back £5500.That’s a bit too expensive for my wallet, but I enjoyed a few good cocktails and also got the truffle toast with onion soup. The cocktails were great, and the meal was pretty good. I also love that they provided complimentary quality cheese and olives as snacks for the table. The staff were professional, but a bit too serious/stiff.You can expect the prices for the «regular» drinks to be in the ~£25 price range.Winston Churchill was a regular in this place, and it felt natural to try «The Winston», which was listed on the menu on the website. Unfortunately, the menu on their website was not updated, and they had stopped offering that drink. That was a bit disappointing, but I got recommended a similar drink called «Big small». The drink was excellent!

I’ve been on November…Incredible place, very satisfied about the atmosphere and the cocktails. It is a place that you can relax, enjoy nice music, drink tasteful cocktails and have a nice conversation…

Amazing staff and cocktails. We enjoyed the Alaska drink with 150 year old alcohols. Incredible selection with a lovely ambiance.

Chlo C23:14 08/02/22
Visited on a Friday night after dinner near by. Was looking for a quiet intimate bar with good cocktails so after looking through the pictures I thought this was a good place. It is situated in a hotel and the door man was very welcoming. The bar itself is quite beautiful and the cocktail menu has a great selection of drinks. Would defo recommend and will be back. Drinks were on the pricey side but it is what you would expect for the area so no complaints.

Had my birthday cocktails at Claridge’s bar and I enjoyed the attentiveness of the staff, cocktails and overall atmosphere that much that we were last to leave. Thank you for the night! ♥️

Me and my partner visited Claridges for a quick afternoon cup of tea / coffee and were extremely glad we did!The service was fantastic and the drinks were gorgeous! The shortbread came free of charge, with the drinks, so we were super happy!I’d highly recommend to anyone looking for a quick afternoon drink / nibble whilst in the bustling City of London!

annette o'malley21:19 07/28/22
We loved it here! We had a drink in the snug Art Deco bar and then we moved to the tables outside the main bar for another. Their Old Fashioned cocktail was good, as were their mock-tails. The snacks were lovely and the service was great. We will return !

F. Krugier20:55 05/14/22
I was lucky enough to be invited to a private dining experience at the Claridges and boy it was so much fun and so worth it Loved every second of it.The main was a chicken pie that's been on the money for years and it's one of the popular dishes they serve. It was delicious, the sauce was creamy and light, and didn't overtake the flavour of the chicken. If you are a chocolate lover or have a sweet tooth, the dessert was epic. Chocolate galore!!!!The staff was amazing and attentive, and if you were looking for a recommendation they knew just the right dish for you.Amazing!!!!!!!!!?

Great live music and quality drinks, highly recommended! Could have a few more whiskies if I was being picky

Valerie Michetti21:41 04/15/23
Came on a Saturday night to enjoy some live piano playing. Asked for 4 different suggestions from the pianist, all which were accommodated beautifully. Lovely drink list too. Can’t wait to come back. Such a cozy atmosphere.

Nicola Rogers22:44 03/15/23
Amazing! The Terrace bar is located in The Chesterfield Mayfair. We stayed there a few years back on our anniversary. This time we just popped in the get a drink and share a snack and some nibbles. The bartender was attentive, friendly and efficient. The bar itself has a wonderful, inviting, classic feel to it. I highly recommend and will definitely return on our next visit to London.

Ro Lo20:52 08/26/19
This little hidden gem inside The Chesterfield Hotel is relatively small and cozy. The staff is great and they serve several unique cocktails that are worth trying. They also do a Gin & Tonic tasting (3 gins each paired with a different tonic)—reservations required. The club sandwich was fantastic and prices were reasonable (for London posh bar food!) Live piano sets the mood; live band on Wednesdays.
