As for the service, perhaps if enough customers start to withhold their tips, this particular server might start investing some actual care and professionalism into his work. Although I like the decor of the interior, the atmosphere is lacking and the cocktails are average at best. I stuck around long enough to get an overall feel, and was relatively disappointed. I enjoy the neighbourhood and the culture of the surrounding area. I also enjoy walking through the bar and seeing all the artifacts from the old days. Photos of Frank Sinatra and other American cultural icons are housed in large glass cabinets. An interesting snapshot of history. Chaille Mount21:24 05/21/19You'll find Cabaña Bar and Restaurant on the outskirts of Havana Vieja looking across at the Malecon. They have live music with groups playing traditional Cuban Music from about 11 AM until 6 or 7 PM at night. I have not eaten there but it's a nice stop to refresh yourself with a beer, cocktail, or soft drink when out exploring. aroop rayu05:00 12/27/18The place serves good food. But the staff is really rude. We ordered Cabana special and it had to rum in it. When we checked they got the bottle and poured rum in front of us. That was cheap. They ask for tips even to use the bathroom. We were so unhappy, we didn't want to give tip. But, the waiter didn't return the balance for a long time. When he saw that we didn't leave our seats, he got balance with so much attitude. We complained to him about the service and instead of saying sorry was speaking rudely. I am pretty sure it is tasty for local Cubans but for me and my fellow tour mates (most of them are Canadians) not even close. Excellent service staff. Ambience is very good. Restaurant and washroom are clean. They also have live music (one person with a keyboard). They also have a huge bar on the ground floor. But I am guessing it will be busy in the evening. Also, the beer tap knobs are Cristal as are the huge logos plastered all over the beer coolers.However, the entertainment was just as good as any other you can find in Havana whether it is an ‘expensive bar’ or not.
