Real Customer Reviews at Mario's Restaurant:

Nix Nicolas09:46 07/06/23
Surprised to see this place still alive & kicking since the 80s. Caesar Salad is still good, although I remember a stronger anchovy taste. Steaks were tender and cooked exactly how we liked them. French onion soup and the cakes were nice but nothing spectacular, and the cakes seemed too sweet after a while.

Elaine De Los Santos21:26 06/27/23
I went here primarily for their coffee sans rival and it did not disappoint. The omelette was served really late. Yup, dessert was served before the meal! I tried cancelling the omelette, but the server said that it was already being prepared. The omelette was nothing special - it had mushrooms, cheese, sausage in it and had potatoes and pan de sal on the side. The staff were attentive and courteous. The ambience of the place was very elegant and homey.

Engelbert Tabones12:15 04/16/23
I like their spaghetti bolognese; it's good and meaty. Their spaghetti puttanesca is not so good. Their pot roast beef is very tender, its sauce is on the sour side, still good to pair with rice.Their oyster rockefeller is also very good.

Nica Hipol12:49 02/19/23
Great place for family to dine with every occasion, and even for business meetings or colleagues dinner. Had a wonderful experience here and so my tummy. Lots of different variety of flavorful, and delicious dishes, like steak, salad, pasta, pastries, etc. Quality food with big serving (generous amount), and good price range. Really love their Seafood Linguine Pasta, together with Paella Valenciana, and Mario's Caesar Salad. Cozy ambience, so relaxing. And the staffs were accommodating, from the parking attendants up to the waiters as we enter they welcomed us with a big smile on their faces. Excellent service I may say.

Edgar Kho04:06 01/28/23
I believe this is one of older steak restaurant i the Metro hence the place feels old but it's not bad. Though it would feel more a casual dining experience. Food (steak) is still great, though I wished more sauce/gravy were given. It also comes with complimentary bread and butter but no complimentary dessert with it. Also tried their pasta and it is good!

Nicole Velasco09:58 09/26/22
If you're looking for flavorful, delicious , big serving plates for family gatherings. This is the perfect place for you!Ranging from Pasta, Seafoods and Pastries, ribs and steaks, you won't regret.Note of the price range though, the price fits it's food quality. So it's really good to go here when there's an occasion, or if you're up for grabs on some good food, it's worth a try.

Lorenzo Solis14:44 06/23/22
Mario's is a Tomas Morato staple. If you want to enjoy a decent meal with family, this is the place to go. The food is well prepared and so are the staff. We loved everything from the Ceasar salad, to the appetizers - Gambas, Oyster Rockefeller and especially the steak.Overall all this is a 4 out of 5.Pro tip:Parking slots are limited so come in early.

Gilbert O'Sullivan03:37 02/21/22
The ambience is old-school and service matches with attention to detail. The food was ok - my pork chops were a bit dry despite my asking for them cooked medium, and they came with the most unpleasantly sweet onion sauce on top - just excessively sugaryEverything else was fine and my friend's steak was ok if very fattyProbably appeals to local sweet-tooth taste but expats will find it not of a more traditional style given the attraction to lots of sugar in the cooking

Real Customer Reviews at LOLA Cafe - Tomas Morato:

John III Bibal08:01 04/02/23
A bit pricy, but the food was very good! We ordered the Sizzling Roast Beef Belly, Roast Pork in Adobo Glaze, Lola’s Bicol Express, Pork Laing, Chili Baby Squid and some Bagoong Rice. We also ordered their 3 shakes, Peach Mango, Apple Banana and Coconut De Leche. All of which were very good!Servers were also nice, attentive and responsive. My only concern was the atmosphere, as the ambience felt a bit off. Chairs and tables felt old and there was this odd smell when we arrived.Other than that, LOLA Cafe is highly recommended.

Aleli Rosario08:56 03/28/23
We came on Friday and the place was full. Parking was tight.Food was delicious. Memorable items for me were the tinapa and kesong puti salad (we ordered 2), longganisa pasta, and baked scallops. The other items we ordered were tasty and rich.I was intrigued by their rice topping dishes. They looked yummy and might try that next time. The shakes are good!I'm not a fan of their desserts - we had the halo halo (I totally did not like this as the ingredients were hard) and the chocolate cake (I found this dry).So overall, this is a restaurant I could keep coming back to. Parking could be challenging but they have guides to help you.

Belle Perez08:05 02/11/23
Lola Cafe's residential property-turned-restaurant invites its guests in through a camouflaged, homey exterior.Parking is less than adequate in this constantly jam-packed cafe; cars have to squeeze into what little space is available. The food is good, but not memorable. Waitstaff will make rotations to ensure that your drinks are always full.If you reserved restaurant spaces for a party, you can still order from their main menu. The al fresco dining area is pet-friendly. Community cats are also present in the area.

Wittydems06:18 02/08/23
Went here for wedding reception. The place is homey garden vibes. Aesthetic feels.Good for intimate/small wedding due to tiny space. The food we had is the usual filipino food. The roasted chicken is not throughly cook that time, i can see the blood, paksiw has smell. On the other hand, cheese cake and kare kare are my fave.

M Yu17:39 01/29/23
Awesome take on Filipino food. We only tried a few dishes but we loved everything. Would try to go back and try the other stuff on their menu. Only one thing I dislike that the hot food we ordered were on the colder side.We would recommend the Tinapa and Kesong puti salad. That was so good!Place was beautiful and afaik they accept catering for events as well. Lastly, excellent service from their staff. Big thanks to them. Anniversary well spent.

Ron David Bascao22:40 01/25/23
The ambiance is supposed to be nice but the dining space are a bit small. There are groups that are so loud we did not enjoy our meal, we requested to go to the other side of the restaurant but they said it was “reserved” and no one came in the “reserved” table the whole time. The food is alright, all food that we ordered almost flavorful. But I think this will be the first and last that we will visit this restaurant.Subjectively, I can say they deserve a 3/5 but you can suit yourself and book a reservation so you can have a nice place in the restaurant.

Linore Lemon12:44 08/03/22
Food was better than thought. Was expecting a traditional cooking but there is a twist of Mexican/Chinese in their gourmet. My cousin and his wife treated us for lunch there and I was surprised by their taste. I would suggest you try their Caesar’s salad. It’s different from the generic mix we usually order in most resto/cafe.

Madeleine Manapat03:33 06/04/22
Arrived at around 6pm (on a Monday) and place is already jam-packed! At first, they told me that the only available seating is at the 2nd floor, but when I told them that we have senior citizens, they cleaned a table at the first floor since it was more convenient 🙂Lola Cafe was an old house turned into a neighborhood restaurant.Food was delicious and flavorful.I love the truffle lengua, not the usual. So creamy and you can taste the truffle flavor.I also enjoyed the oyster mushroom chicharon, chewy and something new.Place was bright and with enough lighting, good for taking picturesCons:1. Limited parking space2. Limited dining area on the 1st floor

Had dinner with my girls at La Spezia last night and had a great time catching up. Their 850g Bistecca Rib-Eye Steak is a must try even if it’s pricey being listed at P5500 for an order. It’s ideal for sharing for up to 3-4 pax. Also tried Merluzzo P950 with Gindara cooked to perfection.

Jeff j.g. dlc03:59 06/26/23
Food was so so.We went there for Sunday Lunch, place wasn't jam-packed . We ordered the Burrata , Gindara , Stew Lamb and Pasta . Total bill was 5k. Atmosphere of the place was okay , aircon was cold . The food was so so , nothing to rave about . The Gindara and stew Lamb was bland . Pasta was okay , the Burrata was a little too watery for my taste . This kind of restaurant falls to my " First and Last time " kind of Resto .

Mikaela Raymundo09:08 05/14/23
We ate here for mother's day so I expected the place to be packed. The place itself is really nice however, if it gets too crowded it would get too loud and too hot. I would recommend going here during off times of the day to maximize the experience (as well as to get a spot for parking since it can get full). We were served ciabatta and balsamic immediately along with our burrata appetizer. It was a refreshing take to have it paired with corn! The risotto, sea bass, and tiramisu were just ok for me, but I wouldn't order it again. The pork belly was super good and cooked crispy (highlight of our lunch)! Two of the mains took around 30 minutes wait, but I really appreciate the server updating us from time to time. He was very attentive to our needs and from what I noticed, he was the only server on the floor attending to everyone (both indoors and al fresco) 😱

Myla Anderson08:21 04/14/23
Recently dined in at La Spezia and here’s my comments:AMBIENCE - restaurant was small and cute interior, it wasn’t crowded when we dined in. 8/10SERVICE - was great and really fast.8/10FOOD - some items were just average but overall, it was good.7/10SPAGHETTI ALLA CARBONARA- I was kinda disappointed, it was watery, less cheese and less pepper, not a classic italian carbonara, pouched egg as toppings is not really a good idea. Spaghetti was al dente though👌🏻5/10SPAGHETTI AGLIO PESCA- almost perfect and was really delicious, less of olive oil could have made it really perfect… it was drowning with oil. 7/10. Taste was good.SPAGHETTI AMATRICIANA - super good, perfect taste and very aldente👌🏻8/10PANCETTA DI MAIALE - average and quantity was a bit small but recommended.6/10VINO ROSSO AGNELLO - this is highly recommended! Lamb was perfectly cooked and flavorful. My son loved it.9/10We didn’t ordered drinks, prices were quite expensive.

Ryan S07:16 03/14/23
I'd say 4.5 stars as the price point and the food taste were very good. There is a little problem with acoustics as mentioned in other reviews. It's a little difficult to hear your date but it's not a deal breaker. Over all very enjoyable. The octopus was tender while the outside was chared, giving it a nice texture. It was slightly dry though, but the crunch and the smokey flavor more than made up for it.The Carbonara was very good and authentic... Pancetta, egg and cheese with the spaghetti. The pasta was a touch under for my taste but overall flavors were on point

This place is elegant with an awesome vibe. I went with my daughter for dinner, and the food was truly amazing. The service was excellent, attentive, and friendly. They are absolutely incredible! Will definitely come back again and again.

Mark Tong14:23 06/25/23
Truffle pasta is very delicious! The pumpkin soup and cheese logs, despite being basic appetizers, taste good too.The way they decorated the place also stands out from other restaurants while still maintaining that family friendly, homey vibe. Will definitely come back to try their other dishes 😊

Hannah Manalo10:43 05/29/23
We definitely loved it, my wife even said that we celebrate occasions here and try out all the food because we really enjoyed it. Was a bit shocked with the service because we ordered a 4 course meal; starters, soup, pasta and main course but they all came when they're ready to be served and not in the order and pace that it should've been, maybe it can be requested but I'm not sure so next time make sure to just order the next meal once the first meal is served and so on and so forth. All in all great service, they're polite, prompt, and definitely a courtesy to the cooks. Medj napamahal kami pero really worth it, not a penny was wasted. Btw just a note on the wings starters its not the kind of winfs you expect it's the deep fried kind of wings so if you were expecting the pan fried wings it's not because that's what we expected😅

Rafael Fernando12:44 05/06/23
Our food experience here is remarkable. I love the dishes. But I don't recommend the salted egg wings. It taste like the chips that was popular before. But overall love the food and the place

Michellyn Castañeda05:53 06/25/22
Awesome, awesome food, awesome, awesome people! My favorite place. They serve large portions. You should try the lengua! The best!

Dined here for the first time and I loved the vibe. Pizzas good too. Parking is quite hard so best to go during weekdays.

Kelvin Magno (Kelvin)23:38 05/30/23
During our visit the serving time was very quick. One of the staff was also nice to us. The portion of the food was generous, and it's understandable because of the price. The interior is okay and has a good mix of seating from sofa to bench and high chairs.

Michael Quililan10:29 04/09/23
Quaint and intimate wine and dining space in Tomas. Call beforehand to reserve though as it gets filled out quite fast especially at night.

It's a great place to have a drink (starting in the afternoon), have something to eat, and spend time with friends. Great service! I'd love to go back.

Carlyn Musngi06:26 06/09/22
OVERLY priced food and drinks. Quality's bad too. Pasta we ordered was too dry. Small serving. Bread was kinda stale. Php 350 for a 1 local beer in can. The price just isn't right for their quality of food. Not worth your penny. Definitely not going back. We should've spent our money someplace else.

Gilbert O'Sullivan03:54 02/21/22
It was ok - nice ambience and good service. Food was also fine though nothing special. My penne putanesca had fair flavour though needed more anchovy sourness, but the penne was overcooked and dry - should be al denteJust unskilled cooking and presentationAlso no decent craft or IPA beers - just boring and tasteless lager type 'beers'The Sangría was far too over-sweetened for local sugar tastes and so was not at all Spanish authentic

Martin Rey Edrick Santos05:27 06/29/19
Perfect place to chill and unwind with family and friends, especially late at night when most restaurants are already closed. Very cozy atmosphere. However the restaurant is small and there only a limited number of tables inside. The place is not too loud as well. We ordered the cold cuts and cheese platter and enjoyed it so much.

Andrea Miralles01:50 07/09/23
I enjoyed a full course meal alone here around 1pm on a Thursday. Only two other groups seated inside, quiet atmosphere. Ordered tres leches latte 5/5 was so surprised at how delicious it was. Id go back just for this. The new pink salad with beats was next 5/5 this was served alone and I ate all of it without breathing. The parm & yogurt bed plus pesto and veggies were a fantastic combo. Then came the lox schmear - I ofc added egg 5/5. It’s pretty much a salmon eggs benny. The sauce was delicious; adding a bit hot sauce made a perfect flavor palette. For dessert I got the ube overload cake. The side of ube jam was necessary bc it tasted a bit plain but was still yummy 3.5/5.I got a chocolate overload 3/5 and tres leches cake 6/5 to go. Ate those about two days later - the cake straight from the fridge and the chocolate bread after toasting. Appreciated the package instructions for reheating.I dined alone and felt like the staff was attentive and also gave me space. Answered all my qs about the dishes and all the staff said goodbye to me super friendly on my way out - not sure if this was cuz I was alone or it wasnt busy or just because it’s normal. But it was very nice! Definitely going back!

We ordered:Goat cheese puff pizza 3⭐️/5Blackout Bowl 4⭐️/5Gallo Pinto 4⭐️/5Kimchi Gyoza 4⭐️/5Tres Leches 5⭐️Signature Iced Tea 2⭐️/5The Goat cheese pizza was too rich, maybe add a little acidic flavor to balance it out? This was our least favorite and we didnt get to finish it.The Blackout bowl was okay, I was impressed that they got the black rice to be soft and chewy. But it lacked flavor.Gallo Pinto was delicious and not too overpowering. The presentation was nice too.Kimchi gyoza was nothing special, it tasted like just another gyoza. The tres leches was so good. It had a hint of cinnamon that wasn’t too overpowering. The cream balanced the flavor of the milk. The iced tea was too sweet for me.The chicharon teriyaki is their best seller. It was good but I found the bagnet hard to chew.Overall, the food was great but not spectacular. The servers were attentive and polite. I reserved a table thru their instagram account and they responded within a reasonable amount of time. The tables were too close to each other so you could hear the conversation on the other table. I would probably come back for the desserts and maybe try their coffee next time.

Nicole Bilaw14:19 05/11/23
Had a pleasant dinner here. I find their menu items unique and unfamiliar which I totally love. Great for an intimate dining experience. Great service, too. A bit pricey, but their food looks good and you’ll definitely experience unusual flavors here.

jio valdez09:15 01/25/23
I went here for my birthday and I made the right choice. They were flexible and accomodating with my reservation, even with numerous changes. The place itself has a cozy vibe, though it is small I think its a strength. The food itself was honestly so unique and its rare you can find this anywhere else. It was delicious and the flavors were complex. Its fairly pricey but for me seems pretty worth it.The service was good as well.I would definitely come back here and try more of their dishes.

G _shoppes00:55 12/22/22
Small dining space. Tables too near to each other, you can hear what the other table/guest discussions 😆Waiter didn't get all the orders because his always on a rush.Food & drinks menu--letters small to read, no pictures, really needs improvement.Food taste is good but expensive for its size.Overall, it's good for a try.

Drei07:34 12/15/22
Enjoyed the dessert more than the mains. Although their offerings sound so innovative, the different dishes do not seem to be designed for them to be had together. Maybe they could suggest pairings for a better experience.Given that the food isn't that cheap, the seats could be more comfortable. The table could hardly accommodate the plates, the food, and drinks. Even the table legs are awkwardly positioned once tables are put together.I do love the desserts. The nutty mocha with their ube cardamom cake was delicious!

B Tey (B.The0)07:45 10/05/22
Love food in this place. Will recommend to visit if you come to Philippine. Their dessert are so beautiful and yummy. And a lot of choice to pick from that are good but of course we could not try them all. Here are some of the recommend dishes we have go for.Note that place are not big and seat are limited. Visited on weekday and we did a reservation prior the day.Food : 👍🏻 tasty and goodLocation : easy to assist with grabService: 👍🏻Will come back again for sure.

Chinggay Borja12:50 06/15/22
First time dining here and I was really impressed by their food selection and the taste overall. But most especially, their servers were superb! Who don't want good food and great customer service experience right? Highly recommended if you want food that’s special and affordable.

Kara de Guzman01:09 05/18/22
Quite pricey! (4" crema de fruta P450; 1 pc. merci buko cream puff P270) but worth it! Have not tried the savories, but the desserts are very delicious, creative, and well thought out. Staff are very attentive and accommodating. Would come here again for a special occasion.

Edgar Kho05:23 04/14/22
Must try!Place is quite small but with creative touch. They also have al fresco area.Food is great. Though it's pricey, you can taste the uniqueness of their food. Example: pasta with roe, pizza crust/bread is made puff pastry/croissant-like.Coffee and desserts are great too.

Hailed as serving the best crispy pata in the Philippines for a reason. The pork knuckle skin was crunchy but shattered like glass under the pressure of a wooden popsicle stick. The meat was very tender, juicy, and flavorful. No need for any dipping sauce. Paired it with salted egg fried rice, which was very buttery and savory. The staff were hospitable and the service was fast.

Joy Joane Tinapay09:05 06/08/23
Their spinach with eggs is a MUST TRY, crispy pata is the best we've tasted...super crunchie & meat inside is soft (melts in your mouth) & juicy.Their kare kare and lengua were also delicious.

Ness Albert14:20 05/14/23
It's out first time to eat here but the nth time for our cousins that suggested the place.Their food are all meant to be shared. Even the appetizers and their single order of extra white rice, good for 2 na.Loved their pumpkin soup.Their Kare-Kare is quite good, not enough bagoong be though. Please provide generous serving please.Pork Sisig was a disappointment.Krispy Para was good.Their staff were attentive to all our needs, even the frequent refill of our bottomless ice tea was quickly attended to.A bit pricey but we'll worth it.Highly recommended for big groups.

They serve good crispy pata. During our last visit, it's not as tender but I hope it's just a one off. Their kare kare and lengua were also delicious.

Ate here multiple times in my life and every visit was very good. Food was really good. When they say good for 3-4 person, it really is good for 3-4 persons. Price isn't so bad. Service was really good. Our waiter proactively asked to take our picture for us. Crispy Pata is a must try in this restaurant. Limited parking space for peak hours.

Spacious Filipino restaurant in Tomas Morato that serves really good kare-kare. Their version is thick and flavorful unlike many other restos that serve watered down versions of the dish.Ample parking out front. Al fresco area available.

Philippine food. Atypically too sweet for my liking. But otherwise did enjoyed their dishes like crispy pata, balulo soup and bihon pansit.Lechon carbonara's pasta was over cooked. The roasted chicken fragrant and dried out hard.Meal was let down by the swarm of mozzies buzzing about in the dining room dining themselves.

This is my 2nd time attending a gathering/ lecture with my colleague.. the first time was prepandemic 2019 and then last night,I am stil disappointed with the staff. Coffee really took so long to be serve on both visits. The two waiters who attended to us were not that accommodating and not friendly.. it seems they are in a hurry to get the used plates. The dishes were just okay.I hope they will improve their customer service.. will I recommend ?. As of now its a no.

Cozy place! Great place to dine with family, friends and romantic dates. Food is great, just a little pricey for the quantity. Staffs are very courteous and accommodating. Music is relaxing. Chairs are comfy. They have enough space for guests, just a little bit hard to look for a parking slot especially in the evening.

food was great! They also have private rooms you can reserve for events like bridal showers or meetings.

Limbaga 77 is a cozy cafe/restaurant offering Filipino fare like pancit, inihaw na manok, and mango con sago, plus cakes and coffee. The servers are responsive and attentive and the food was flavorful and decent. Decor is also nice. But, my family and I encountered a few speedbumps:• Several of the menu items we initially asked for weren't available, including the stuffed squash flowers, grilled tuna, brewed coffee, cake, and iced tea. We had to settle for other available items (tofu and mushrooms, roasted chicken, and four-flavor chicken wings).• The music was too loud and the song choices (90s pop) detracted from the cozy and restful ambience. It was borderline jologs. Other customers had to talk loudly to compensate for the blaring music.• Most of our food took almost 30 minutes to be served. The customers at the neighboring tables (one of them was around 8 months pregnant, and another one was a senior citizen) were also grumbling about their wait.• The sizzling tofu and mushrooms were tasty but drowning under a thick blanket of mayonnaise.Suggestions for Management:• Preemptive suggestions - To the manager and staff, if you know you are out of some menu items, inform your customers before they order, then suggest other available dishes. This helps prevent disappointment and can reduce walkouts.• ETA - If the food will take over 10 minutes to serve, again, inform the customers in advance that their order will be served in x minutes, and ask if that will be ok. That shows you are considerate of your customers' time.• Music - Play music that will create a good overall experience for your customers, and at an unintrusive volume. Please avoid jeepney pop. Again, this is to show basic consideration for the people who pay to be there.• Tofu and mushrooms - Use less mayo. You'll save more on the cost and it's nicer to see all the ingredients.Since it was our first visit and we enjoyed the food, we are willing to give this place another chance, in the hopes of having a better experience in the future.

I had a quick merienda at this place and was pleasantly surprised by the food, ambience, and service. The staff were very welcoming. The ambience was very Parisian and the place was instagram-worthy. The sans rival tasted fresh and well made — the meringue was crunchy, the frosting velvety, and I tasted a hint of citrus. The brewed coffee was also good.

Ordered the truffle bacon, lychee craft soda, and the strawberry and cream waffles. The waffle walang lasa kung wala yung cream. My partner and I shared everything, but he ordered pour over coffee. Not satisfied with taste. Normal lang lahat. Super mahal. He ordered Javanica beans 250g to take home. Hoping it's good.

The place is great, the service also good but the food is not. The function room we dined in was spacious. The staff and waiters were readily on hand and very friendly. However, we did not like the dishes. The chicken was underdone as you can see blood in the inside of the flesh near the bone. The hickory pork had a 2-inch layer of fat.

Similar to many restaurants in the area, RELISH is a restaurant that serves classic Filipino and italian dishes. Though there is nothing particularly unique about the restaurant, the servings are big and the prices are quite affordable. The service quality is not bad though and the restaurant is clean.

Every penny is worth it. I really love their lengua and beef salpicao. All served hot, which is important for me. Best paired with garlic or cilantro rice, which is my favorite. I bet all of their dishes on the menu are delicious. Big servings. Beverages are also refreshing and satisfying. The ambiance is also perfect.
