The place was strongly recommended by a friend. And we were not disappointed. They serve crispy and delicious fried chicken, just the way a fried chicken should be. Also, the options for drinks and desserts are also good! The only downside, based on our experience, was that we went during peak hours so the place was a bit roomful and noisy so if you're looking for a quiet dining place, this is not for you. Still, I would rate this with 5 stars because, based on our experience: 1.) food was great, 2.) prices were reasonable, 3.) staff were accommodating and overall, 4.) place was clean, 5.) parking space was available. We had a great meal and got the value for the money we spent.

There's no denying that this place serves good food and they have well trained staff to cater to your needs. I also like the fact that the serving size of their solo meals are relatively large, so you can share it with another person, you'll just have to ask for an extra cup of rice of you're really tight on the budget. Simple place but they have good food and great service. Especially loved their fish fillet, camaron, and kinilaw. But it took a long time to serve the chicken curry and it didn't taste as good as I expected.But overall, we had great experience here as a family.

This is a great restaurant for those who are looking for that "lutong-bahay" taste. The place is cozy. They serve different seafood recipes, chicken, pork, and beef. The location though, is far from the city proper. Overall, it was a great experience, plus the owners are very hospitable!

Dine in at Kuya J Robinsons Iligan branch two times.On my first experience, the server was initiative and friendly. Some foods on the menu were not available but they gave us other options. And, the food was great.However, on my second time, the server was inattentive. I've tried to get their server's attention many times but was always ignored, so I had to personally go to the counter to order. They told us that it will only take 30mins, but they kept us waiting and took them over 1hr to bring the food. Other tables were also complaining because of slow service. Even when the food arrived, they forgot to bring our utensils and serving spoons. Lastly, they did not serve us water even after we took the bills. Nonetheless, the food was great.Overall, the food was great but the service was bad.

Kuya J is one of my favorite restaurants. They serve the best pinakbet and rice with danggit. Their halo-halo options are also a must! I love Kuya J’s loyalty to Filipino foods. We ordered pandan, ube shake, large fish fillet mixed veges & 2 drumsticks with rice. Everything was ok (not amazing for the price), but the chicken was so disappointing. It tasted like it was cooked in oil that was used so many times & is starting to burn and both pieces were really small. I told the waiter and they changed the chicken. However, for the price, I wouldn’t recommend the place as the chicken wasn’t great (and not even average) even though it was pricier than jollibies. The rest of the food was mid. Staff were great tho!

I still believe that Sunburst is the house that fried chicken built! It is an institution! But i am referring to the original restaurants in Iligan city, cebu and manila before they became a franchise. My memories of the old Sunburst (iligan branch) has always been delicious and good. I think most forty-something and older folks do.I've been to this particular store three times already and i must say in all those occasions, it is good! I can give it five stars if the service was good but it was only "so-so" . I went by myself and more often the staff almost always neglect you for a table of 4-6 or more people, which i fully understand. So that's ok. I will talk less about the food because as always,.. It is consistently good eating! Always satisfying! Although on the pricey side. I don't mind paying more as long as i get bigger portions. Management please take note because at times those birds are really small. Also, i wish sunburst will retain that particularly "sunburst fried chicken smell" in both their food and stores because that's what loyal customers remember and look for! I especially would like to mention that the Iligan restaurant is always clean and well kept. I like the ambient feel. Parking is not a problem. Wheelchair, no problem! Just come hungry and those chicken will do their magic!I always loved fried chicken. And when overcame with craving, i always find myself on my way to Sunburst! It is not just fried chicken, it's a time machine! Because when you bite into a sunburst fried chicken, it brings you back memories of good food and good times! And only Sunburst fried chicken taste and smell like sunburst fried chicken!!P.S. Keep those bottles of banana ketchup, hot sauce, worcestershire sauce, cole slaw, and hand cut fries within reach because they are part of the experience!! Woohoo!!.

I have only tried their Beef Randang and Carbonara so I can't really say much about their *other* food. I love their unique tables. Very artistic. 10/10. The Beef Randang was good but a bit salty for me. But I love how spicy it was. Their carbonara is good too but too cheesy for me.

Came here with a friend, and he ordered a durian shake as this restaurant is well known for its durian shake. He tells me that it tasted great, but since i dont like durian, I'll give their shake the benefit of the doubt. Their carbonara serving was generous but I didn't like its overall taste as I could tell that they used margarine to make the sauce creamy. Aside from that, their pasta didn't have any sort of meat on it, so you're just basically eating creamy pasta. I also tasted their cookies and cream shake, it was okay. Just the typical tasting shake that you'd get from any medium scaled restaurants, nothing too special.

The rustic vibe of the place is amazing. The food is also great. My favorite dish on their menu are beef randang and garlic con mozarella pizza.Edit: Cafe Ilaya and Iliganon has the same owner. And Cafe Ilaya is closed for the time being due to the pandemic.

Piqued by the number of reviews, which were generally favourable, we dropped by for a late lunch while visiting the city. Staff was attentive and proactive, giving us recommendations. Wait time was rather longish (35 minutes) given that there were no other customers except the two of us.Ordered seafood kare kare. Sauce was rich and satisfying. Came with the usual vegs and pieces of fish and two whole crabs, which could have been better served cut into smaller parts prior to serving. Otherwise, presentation was commendable.Had grilled rabbitfish (kitong) too. That was a disappointment - dry and tough. Looked like it had been sitting in the freezer for awhile.Will visit again given the chance though.

I just noticed this place is a go to for graduate students who wants to celebrate and dine with their fam and friends.😂😍 Anyways, I love the halo-halo, unfortunately we weren't able to get the Buko HaloHalo as it wasn't available. Also, we ordered fish soup(recommended), unli rice and grilled chicken everything is okay. for the ambiance it's actually nice and spacious. also Landbank atm is nearby (you can easily withdraw whenever you run out of money 🤪🤪, Food is life) I added a photo taken on the day we celebrate after the graduation.

Affordable and tasty cuisine. Those two words pretty much sum up why people find themselves coming back to Dear Manok. Their cuisine is truly local and good. Their House Specialty is everyone’s favorite as one can indulge with a grilled chicken plus unlimited rice. The place is good for solo, friends and/or family. If you’re planning to celebrate an occasion, Dear Manok can also accommodate you. I gave 4 stars because their customer is not the best although it’s not bad.

Food is good and not too expensive. For a quick Chinese cuisine and dimsum lunch or dinner this is the place tobe. There is a small function area for meeting, around 20-30 pax.

This resto is one of among those found in The Strip in Iligan City. Food is served in large sizes although it takes some time for it to reach to our table after we ordered. Music inside is also loud and unbearable so you have to tell the staff to tone it down so you can talk normally.

Great food for reasonable prices! You don't want toe dine here if you are really hungry and eat in an instant because their serving time is 30 minutes after you order. I just want to comment about their staffs also. They were talking LOUDLY and making fun of one another while the customers are dining in front of them. I mean, it's really ok to have fun at work but I think you should avoid doing it in front of your customers like you're just in your house. 😏

This may be one of the oldest surviving restaurants in Iligan city. They have taken care of the place well but I'm not sure about the second floor though, they have closed it for public use. The food is still the same. They have preserved the taste well.

We, as family, occasionally ate lunch in this restaurant. I like the guavano shake, kinilaw with salad and sari. My youngest child used to order spaghetti. It is located near to the old gaisano. What I like the most is we can bring rice cooked from our home without paying additional charges or corkage fee.
