I did have high expectations for this cafè and their famous seasonal bowls but I guess it wasn't my type since am not a vegetarian. I didn't appreciate the Bakunawa Bowl cause it tastes weird. It was more oats and banana to my taste buds. Haven't tried the others though since we were full when we got there and this bowl will really get you even more tanked. 😅

A healthy post-surf breakfast go-to at cloud 9, starts a hot day nicely. I could take or leave their coffee though, there are better spots for a grind.

Zoetic Zel18:42 07/08/23
Much needed food detox after all the meaty stuff we ate. Serving is so big you can share it with a friend. Friendly and accommodating staff. The place is nice with a good view of cloud 9. Ordered cloud 9 kook and berry good nice.

Luke B09:33 06/01/23
Shaka is consistently delicious and healthy and although I know I should be more open to alternative food options whilst travelling it’s just so damn hard to resist their amazing smoothie bowls! I’ve been to their locations in Siargao, Siquijor & Moalboal and each time service was great, location even better and bowl/coffee combo was amazing! I’ve tried all the bowls at this rate and the G.O.A.T has to be the peanut butter one 🤤 👏

Marleen Bornat07:42 05/24/23
Great spot for plant-based food next to Cloud 9 🌊 Their coffee, smoothie bowls and banana bread are absolutely delicious! The sandwiches were pretty good too but I thought the bread was a little dry. I would give it a 4.5 overall!🌟

L R11:15 05/22/23
Great way to start your day in Siargao. You get a great view of the sea with eager surfers zigzagging the coastline. Cap it with an amazing smoothie bowl. We tried their Bom Dia and Ubeautiful offerings and it was super tasty and was muito bom!

rose infante16:53 05/09/23
The idea of having smoothie bowls right next to the beach is a good one. It's healthy, refreshing and filling. It also helps that the staff are warm and the whole island vibes of the café gives you a sense of place in Siargao.

Elie DC10:16 12/27/22
♥️RECOMMENDED🥰Delicious meals with fresh products🌻We loved it. View on the shore and the waves 🌊 Such a sweet place to take a coffee break or enjoy one of their yummy breakfast/break bowls ! 🥳

Claire Noble04:22 12/21/22
Starting with the positives, the smoothie bowls were very nice, although could maybe have done with a few crunchy toppings for some textures. The overnight oats were pretty bland. The main problem was that they only had unsweetened almond milk for the coffees that day. The coffee was bad, and the matcha latte was undrinkable. It tasted like bitter grass. It could be that if they had a different milk such as oat available the drinks would have been better, but it's hard to say.The location is great, and I can imagine it being a lovely spot to watch the surfers on a nice sunny day. We were however repeatedly hassled by beach vendors selling jewellery. Considering that it's pricey, we expected much more from the food and drinks.

Ardee de los Angeles06:40 12/20/22
Loved the vibe and the plant based food. The banana bread and muffins with a cold brew is just heaven! Had a great time and got to meet the manager, Almira. She’s accommodating and very nice. We will come back. Thank you!

Ella de la Victoria11:34 11/05/22
I have tried the Shaka at Moalboal and now here in Siargao - i still feel the same about their food - not spectacular. This place is very popular though with lots of guests all day.I had their Bom Dia smoothie bowl with a capuccino for 380php, my friend had another smoothie bowl too.All smoothies were from frozen fruits except for the toppings of course. Don’t get me wrong - it’s good but it’s not as great. I much preffered Kanaway’s smoothie bowl as they use fresh fruits and it really does make a difference. The staff here though are friendly and efficient. This is probably going to be my last Shaka experience.

Arjun03:19 09/10/22
Always great experience at Shaka. Friendly staff and delicious food. Just the prices increased alot recently so here the updated menu with current prices August 2022.

We were here for soft opening. We ordered fries, watermelon shake and calamansi. Great place for snacks with good view.

Loved the new Cafe Loka, roomier. Quality of service and food is maintained. A good place to have breakfast after an early morning of surfing at Cloud 9. Please feed if you can the friendly mama dog in the premises.

Gaspër Sopi09:12 06/18/23
Despite best efforts, unfortunately I can’t recommend the food here (I had a chicken burger). At this price the only thing worth mentioning were the potato wedges, all 6-7 of them. The chicken was chewy and at least 30% of it wasn’t meat. Probably the worst $10 burger I ever. The only reason I gove it 3* is that the location is nice and so is the staff - and I would like to encourage the owner to serve better food.

Srini06:27 06/12/23
Picturesque spot to have a coffee, snack, or a quick bite. It’s pricey but you’re paying for the location and the view.

This little coffee shop has a very refreshing island vibe. After we took our lunch from across the street, we immediately grabbed coffee just to chill at its 2nd floor lounge.I ordered Vietnamese Latte and it was really good! My friends got Coconut latte but it was ok - for me.

Eciale Sodela16:03 06/07/23
I loved their Vietnamese Latte and Iced Americano! Their homemade cookie is perfect pair for the Americano! I loved the alfresco setup upstairs, enjoying coffee while watching busy people talking and you can see everyone and just enjoy the beauty of Siargao! We had our coffees here for like 2-3 times already and would definitely back for more!

James Freyre10:18 05/31/23
Nice variety of coffee options, shakes, and food. Good vibe, especially in the sitting area upstairs. I just had an iced latte and it was excellent. Tomorrow gonna try the Vietnamese coffee. WiFi available too.

jhoey162213:40 04/20/23
Nice variety of breakfast food. If you like toasted and crispy bacon for breakfast, must try here with fried eggs serving and option for waffle or rice. The ambience in the upper floor is quite ok so you wouldn't be distracted with the incoming guests and transports outside. The coffee I definitely recommend👍 Since they open early, I hope their staffs come in early too so food are served fast.

Rebela Diaries09:18 03/01/23
Loved their Vietnamese coffee and waffles. Conveniently located at the main street in Gen. Luna, I spent a couple of afternoons here. The top floor is pretty quiet in the afternoons. It's also breezy even though it's hot outside. Staff are friendly and service is fast. Highly recommend!

This place is a must try in siargao! The miso cookie 😍😍 the mama’s chocolate cake and the brownie are to die for 🤤 I had the cake almost every day!The tahini coffee was an interesting drink… with a really strong flavor! I really liked it 🤌🏾 but is not for everyone 😅The green smoothie was my life saver every morning to be back in my routine with some greens power 💪🏾The Friday dinner buffet is a MUST DO!! So amazing being able to share a bit of culture and enjoy delicious food 👌🏾But the best of all is the amazing staff!!!! The energy they have and the way they treat you like family is everything 🤍 missing already Rolyn and Felix!!! They were just soooo sweet with me and helped me with everything! Can not thank them enough 🫶🏾

Roxanne van den oudenalder23:40 05/10/23
We were in Siargao for 8 days. The first morning we eat breakfast at Goodies. The food, drinks and especially the nice service was so amazing, that we eat breakfast here for the full 8 days. The food is delicious and the coffee and ice teas are amazing! Every morning the nice team was there again to welcome us with a smile and good recommendations. Especially Rolyn and Mark were the reason to come back. I will miss them (and the breakfast)!

DominiQC Asean23:27 03/26/23
The seaview and the greetings from Mika helped getting 3 stars otherwise...The food menu is great! But wrongly prepared, any good menu is reduced to nothingness. Moreover, as other guests pointed out, the service is soooo slow!!! I got served 55 minutes after ordering an ice cream/brownie... Other meals were also served in an untimely manner and it took a very long time to get served. We had the Chicken Salad: way too much salad sauce, poor choice of vegetables, this is a salad, not a soup..and the Mexican Lasagna: that's a pie, there's no pasta, it has nothing from a lasagna. Overbaked and dried up. Barely edible..As I said, if you read the menu you'll become hungry AF, but then you'll wait for so long to get served and food will be so disappointing that I can't imagine going back. Unless you get that at lunch time to order for dinner. Then again, food won't get better. Staff were generally very friendly, but some were not, maybe they were managers/owners, didn't look like they were doing much.I'm not recommending this place, but I might give them a second chance.

Mor T12:05 03/16/23
We ate here several times. Each time was a delight.Salads, paninis, rice bowls… everything we tried was good! The staff are soooo nice!As we were also sleeping in Happiness, we got to order some dishes to our room too.Always on point, quick, tasty.Friday’s dinner buffet is so tasty! We ate so much, we couldn’t move lolShout out to sweet Felix who welcomed us nicely, and had some great chats. Big hug!

Very clean and comfortable. The staff is very attentive and friendly. I got there when there were not a lot of people. Normally this café is very busy. The latte was good. The cheesecake was awesome. My only complaint is that they do not offer flavor syrup for their lattes. Other than that, I was very happy that I stopped by.

Eking K14:04 06/04/23
First day in Siargao and tired from a quick inland tour that included a boatride along Maasin River, a dip at the crystal clear Secret Lagoon, and another dip at the Hidden Beach, nothing can be more satisfying than coffee.I got at Lunares Café along General Luna a couple of minutes before they were about to close and hurriedly ordered a Mocha frappe and a cannoncini with a custard filling.Aside from coffee, I can say the other attractions of this café are their wide selection of freshly-baked pastries at an affordable price; plus of course, their sweet resident dog named Anira who loves to be patted.

L R10:55 05/22/23
Great place for your java fix. Good place to cool down since they have air conditioning. Very comfy atmosphere and friendly staff.

We had a quick breakfast and coffee in Lunares Cafe before our tour. The food were a bit pricey. The taste and quality of food were just average.

I ordered a hot cappuccino with half oat milk and half regular milk. This is my 4rd time here and each day it is consistently delicious. My partner ordered cold latte and also consistently delicious. Today we also had the tablea cheesecake. Wow. Awesome. Made from cacao bean and it is worth the visit alone. Also, staff are friendly and accommodating 😎

Cray Miranda20:30 06/29/23
Found out about this place via a travel magazine on the plane ride going to Siargao and decided to give it a shot. Absolutely love the vibe and especially the coffee. Iced vanilla latte and peppermint mocha hit the spot! They also have all-day breakfast which looked great. They have three "pet" dogs that freely roam around and they clearly spend most of their time in the kitchen!

Benson Tudtud04:25 04/30/23
Best coffee and breakfast in Siargao? Say no more! You can find both in White Beard Coffee. ☕From their hot, ice blended coffee and combine it with their breakfast meals. I'd say you are in for a great treat. I don't want to be bias but definitely you can't just leave the island without dropping by for a coffee, breakfast or pretty much both.I fell inlove with their iced and blended coffee plus the french toast! Ugh! I think it's the best toast we ever had. If you ever want to be on the go and catch your boat for an island hopping, grab one of their Creamy Cloud 9 concoction to give you that energy boost.White Beard Coffee will definitely be our go to next time we visit Siargao Island. 💯Catch their featured story too on the latest issue of Smile Magazine in your Cebu Pacific flights.#whitebeardcoffee #bestcoffeeinsiargao #siargaoisland

Nice service. They offer milk substitute ( Oat or Soy - Available). Food is good. Order sausage plate, corned beef and tocino. Nice place for coffee and chill

Mafalda Leite04:02 02/05/23
I was expecting more to be honest. We arrived at 11:00 and there was no more sandwiches or French toasts, just waffles or rice meals. We chose wafles with eggs and bacon.Eggs had no seasoning, waffle was really regular and bacon isn’t good.Coffee is great, but overpriced.Staff is nice, polite and welcoming.

Staff and food was so loverly we went back the next day for lunch. Sam in particular was great. The food was delicious and decent portions, not 5star but tasty and presented well. Also we could hope in the pool even though we weren't guests which was great!

Great spot to chill! The food and drinks are delicious and you can chill by the free pool all day or even do some work in the workstation part of the cafe. Would come here again for sure.

My forever favorite go to place on the island! Not only they have the fastest internet which really helps me a lot as i am working remotely, they also have one of the best food and drinks especially coffee on the island. The place is really nice to chill as well. And the staff, really awesomeeee!! Shoutout to Pau, Mary G, Sam, Marj and the whole crew, see you when i get back on the islanddddddd

We went to Sundays on our very first day here on the island. We had ordered the English breakfast, the omelette and the d*ck shaped waffle. They were all SO delicious and super cheap. We even got to take a dip in the pool while we waited for our food!

Super nice ng place! Instagram-worthy. The best thing about this place aside from the amenities is the customer service. Everyone is so approachable and they will really make you feel you are valuable. Love this place! Great coffee and affordable food. Would definitely visit again!

Even the ambiance alone is just great! Their coffee smells and tastes amazing. They have very friendly staff and they already gave a recommendation for what drink to order. I love this place!

Louise Gupit04:50 01/06/23
I must say, this place has the best wifi in General Luna. The staff is also very friendly and helpful. I’m not much of a coffee person but I love the dirty matcha—just the right balance of coffee and matcha.Their karaage wrap is also really good. I got the spicy bbq; it was savory and just the right amount of kick for the spice. The ambiance is also very chill that’s perfect for a working space. They have enough power outlets for the work spaces.Definitely a great place to have brunch, chill, work, coffee, and be with friends.

Rohan Muralee03:44 12/05/21
Nice new spot to spend the day in Siargao, and welcomes remote workers to spend the day at a small 'workstation' section. Small space, but well appointed. They have access to a pool which you can use too, subject to a 300 consumables charge.Would have given 5 stars if they had a full menu (of the things ordered, many were unavailable - 3 of the coffees, and bizarrely for a place with a cocktail menu, tonic and soda water were also out). The staff are friendly but are clearly new and don't know the menu very well, so am sure this will improve with time.

First and foremost, compliments to the chef! The food was delicious and the presentation looked like it was touched by an Angel. The staff were super friendly and very accommodating which added to the warm relaxed vibe up in here. I guess it was fate that made me stumble into this place.Theres plenty of space for small or bigger groups of people, the music at the time was pretty chilled. The menu had a good range of food for a good price/portion, tho I'd prefer if they had photos of the actual dishes in them. As I like to choose my food with pictures. All in all, this is a great place with a great vibe and view from the top. I would definitely come back to Tahanan again.Oh and the girl with the tatoos. She's special. She's very lovely and has a welcoming smile which adds to the Tahanan experience in Siargao. Be sure to say hi and strike up a conversation. The owners must be very proud to have an awesome cafe, with great food and lovely staff. Highly recommended!

Tahanan Al Fresco Cafe is a gem! The place is cozy and there are lots of seating options for small and big groups. The cafe has a great view, accessible location and the interior surely gives off "tahanan vibes". The staff were really friendly and accommodating too. Making sure you'll be comfortable til the end of your dining experience now when it comes to the food — the food tastes great, worth your money and very affordable with heaps of servings. I recommend the buffalo wings and their spicy rice, a taste that I will surely miss and last but not the least, their coffee and shakes are splendid. I would always come back to Tahanan Al Fresco Cafe if I could. Thank you for having us. 🫶🏽
